...----------------...
A riot broke out that afternoon in Ace's study. Jerome who was holding a tray containing two cups of coffee in his hand instantly shook in surprise. He gazed through the glass wall surrounding his boss, looking at a scenario that was happening inside there after a few minutes he left them.
"Damn it, what's going on?" Jerome put the coffee tray over the nightstand - before running back to his study. He contacted the lobby and in a voice implying urgency, he delivered a message.
"Call Carcel upstairs, Ace's boss fights Jem in his room."
...----------------...
"What are you doing, damn it!" Jem initially only intended to talk well. Negotiate with Ace sitting opposite of him to have his pal withdraw his request. In order for Arcelio Hunter to withdraw his contract with Jenina which concerned-shrinking his position as head at Hearts.
Unfortunately, the good talk did not end well.
Jem slammed onto the floor. Ace hit his face in one hand swing.
"Blame yourself, motherfucker." Ace was calm, but anger was radiating in his eyes.
"You're looking for trouble yourself" Ace said.
"You know why I did it! Do you think I would do that to you!"
"You think I care about your reasons?" Ace climbed up onto Jem who was still not standing, his fists swinging once again smashing into Jem's pale face. "Because of you I lost Fawn!"
"What a fucking bodyguard is more important than our friendship! I already consider you as my brother!" Jem was about to avenge Ace's blow, but his hand was caught in the air. Ace pushed Jem's hand and again hit the man's face until blood flowed from the corner of his lips.
"You and your one family lineage are nothing in my eyes, Jem! You should stop hallucinating about your quality! You're worth nothing, nothing compared to Fawn, nothing compared to anyone! And don't think I'll turn a blind eye to your attempt to kill Margot!"
"I've been helping you all this time! How can you forget my services?"
Ace breathed a sultry sigh. Jem was completely nauseating, all his baseless whining and grievances were disgusting. When and where Jem once helped her-Ace wonders. Everything Jem did to him all this time, the things Jem gave him back. Jem never helped her, not when it had no reward.
"Do you realize what you're saying?" Ace flicked his right hand which hurt a little from hitting Jem's face. He should have warmed up before hitting the man. Really fucking.
"You can't do this to me, Ace! I'm the leader at Hearts. You can do anything to me besides that!" Jem painstakingly stood up. Blood poured from his nose, flowing over his lips.
Ace looked at Jem with a stupid moment. "I can do whatever I want, Jem. Anyway, I've done it." Ace's intention is his contract with Jenina. The contract he renewed with one requirement, namely: The official position of the Hearts leader must fall to Jeremy Emery.
"You know that's my right! I am the only one who deserves that position! Jeremy's just a dumb kid, he doesn't know anything!"
"Jeremy is more competent than you."
"..." Jem's eyes were wide open. The words that he hated the most in the world, had just thrown Ace in his face. Instantly, water covered his view. With his chest rumbling furiously, Jem approached Ace and snatched the collar of the shirt Ace was wearing. He pushes Ace with the power he gets purely from the adrenaline that blows. In wrath, he grabbed Ace's temple with a painful fist.
Ace's head seemed to buzz for a moment, he staggered and hit his work bench.
Damn, he could too.
"You're really looking to die, aren't you?" Ace turned away with blood seeping in the corner of his forehead.
"Now I'm conscious." said Ace. Rage mounting. Ace stretched his fingers with a terrifying demon grin playing on his face. "You're weaker than Fawn."
"I wouldn't do that if you didn't-" Jem gulped. He took a step back as Ace approached him. His defense voice was lost in the air. Jam
he was about to reach for whatever it was as his protection, but he found nothing. He did not reach for anything because Ace had already kicked his stomach until his back hit the glass cabinet. Various glass and marble charters on top of the cupboard fell on him.
"Aces,"
"Do you know what little thing I hate most in the world?" Ace approached Jem with wide strides. Before Jem could react, Ace's swinging leg hit the white-tailed man. On his stomach, his face, his shoulders. Ace's leg hit Jem like the man was his doormat. He hit the man over and over again, venting his frustration.
"I. Most. Hates. Injured!" Ace recites the sentence one syllable to another syllable with great emphasis. Jem huddled underneath, his clean appearance that was always angel-now dirty by the footprints of shoes and blood.
Ace was about to give a fatal kick in Jem's face, taking the man's consciousness to the ground. However, his actions hang as a result of Carcel running and catching him.
"Stop, Ace's boss." Carcel can't let Jem die. Not when he was part of Emery's extended family. "He's still an Emery."
"Do you think I care?" Ace barked at Carcel who was looking at him timidly.
"It's not like it's Ace's boss," Carcel just doesn't want Ace into a prolonged conflict.
"Let's stop this now. Mr. Jem is dying."
"Tsk!" Ace took a hard breath. He glanced at Jem on the floor with sharp tapered eyes.
"Cube a warning to you, Emery. If you dare touch what I have, again. Don't think I'm gonna let you go. No, not even death will be able to pick you up before me!"
That's a warning. In his blood-soaked face, Jemaine Emery heard Ace say with a breathless breath.
...----------------...
Evan Caspian was sitting at the dining table, hand slicing the steak without any intention of bribing the meat into his mouth. He sat there, with pensive eyes and a restless heart.
Evan knows, sooner or later the situation will be like this. He should be able to take down Ace Hunter.
"Fuck up!" Evan pushed the steak plate away. His hand that grasped the fork and the knife clenched tightly.
"The situation shouldn't be like this!" Evan spoke to himself. His eyes were fiery holding keki. The bastards he thought he could count on, the bastards he had already worked with - how could they turn the pace and fight him?
What did Ace offer those scum to the point that they dared to betray him?
This is all sickening!!!
"Boss Evan," Rishan came to that quiet dining room. His eyes glared at Evan who was already in a bad mood. Rishan became anxious, did he have to say what he was about to report? Evan could be getting angry.
"Say, Rishan!" Evan put his knife on the table. "You came to tell me something, didn't you?"
"Boss E-Evan, I'm sorry. I seem to be bothering you."
"Rishan?"
"U-uh, okay." Rishan wriggled like a caterpillar, he was afraid. Afraid that Evan would throw it with a steak knife like Evan threw it with a big pile of files yesterday.
"Mr Jem.., Mr. Jem is in the hospital now."
"Huh, has he decided to die?"
"It's not like that boss, it seems like Mr. Jem had a fight with Mr. Arcelio." Rishan shrunk his voice slowly. "The heads of Hearts have also been unveiled today."
"Huh, suddenly?" Evan frowned confusedly. He thinks the inauguration of the head at Hearts will be determined by Jenina Emery at the celebration of her 65th birthday. Which is next year.
"Jeremy Emery has been named the official head of Hearts."
"Jeremy?" Evan. It's new, he thought. "Damn it, Ace must have been involved in this situation."
"Is Jem still to talk to?!"
"I guess..."
"I have to see him." Evan bit his lower lip. "Jem must have done something that triggered Ace to destroy him. I can't just let this situation go. I need to know what triggers Ace Hunter's rampage."
"Isn't that a bit dangerous?" Rishan did not want Evan to play around with fire.
"It's dangerous that you're as dumb as Jemaine Emery. I'm not." Evan grinned thinly. "Ace started moving, Rishan. Sooner or later he'll come to slash my head."
"..."
"I have to think well of my steps from now on. I can't just sit around waiting for my death." Evan stood up, and just as he was about to pass by, Evan's eyes were fixed on the figure of the woman standing near the door that was connected to the dining room.
"What are you doing there?" reproof Evan. The girl walked out of her position with a sinful grin.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Evan. I don't want to interrupt your conversation."
"You're Indira's bodyguard, aren't you?"
"Yes, sir."
"What's your name?"
"Fawn, sir." Fawn-girl intended-spreading plain whimpers that though unsightly, harbored ambiguity. "Next time don't sneak anymore, Fawn."
"Be good, sir."
"What do you want here?" Evan put on his suit while looking at Fawn with his forehead raised next to his.
"Miss Indira called you to her room tonight."
"I'll come if I can." Evan is not interested in Indira's call. He's more interested in visiting Jem now. Jem must have been so furious that he had been humiliated and stripped of his position. Right now, only the current Jem could he utilize.
While Rishan caught up with Evan who passed by leaving the dining table, Fawn who was left there looked at the backs of the two with a polite smile. He continued to stand there until the sound of his second step could no longer be heard in his ears.
Fawn exhaled loudly.
"Ace, what are you doing?" Fawn's worried about the guy right now. The situation that occurred in Hearts was definitely Ace's interference. Although he looks to win there and manages to control the situation to his advantage, Fawn worries Ace and his health.
Was that man working desperately again endlessly? Does he take care of his health? What did he risk to the point of daring to go too fast and tear down Hearts? Fawn did not want the man to misstep...
The situation can be dangerous.
No matter how big and powerful Ace's name was now, he was still a human. He's not bulletproof. He is not immune to death.
...'I hope you didn't torture yourself, Ace.' ...
