...NORMAL pov...
...----------------...
On Friday, in the room of Margaret Hunter whose tumbens are brightly colored-Margot, Vera and Fawn do different activities. Vera sat by the balcony window, her eyes and hands focused on peeling off a tray of fruits that was on her lap. Fawn on the other hand, lay on the bed while hugging the bolster. Margot-si the owner of the room is doing a selection of clothes in her closet full of bleak colors. Some of Margot's clothes dropped to the floor in disappointment, Fawn looked at Margot with excitement.
"What do you think of my outfit, Fawn?" Margot pulls out one mini dress with the back open up to the back. "If you're a man, do you think these clothes seem too inviting?"
"I think-clothes are clothes." Fawn told Margot without interest.
"Tsk, you're too idealistic." Margot whining. "Vera, look here for a second..."
The summoned Vera immediately raised her head.
"Do you think I'm too outspoken with this outfit?"
"Is Margot's boss after someone?"
Margot grinned thinly. "You can say it like that."
"Mmm, then.., I thought he'd find Margot's boss charming."
"Is this not so tempting?" Margot then pulled another one out of the closet. A dress of the same color, only this time the legs have a long wedge up to the groin. "What about this?"
"I think the first one is more elegant and not too obvious-sexy but not like 'i'm sexy to tease you', the second one more shows the side of Margot's boss asductive quite frontally." Vera responds to Margot with seriousness like a fashion-savvy, Fawn immediately sits down to look at the girl. Stupefied face.
"Ugh, I don't want a frontal." Margot then threw the second dress she took on the floor. "I thought I'd wear this tonight."
"Vera, I thought you were a tomboy." Fawn finally made a sound after the last few hours decided to lock her mouth. He who was still wearing white training clothes was sitting cross-legged on the bed. Hands clutching bolsters.
"Vera is tomboy." Margot who said. "You'd be surprised if you saw him working here for the first time."
"Why?"
Margot chuckles. She was still in front of the mirror, circling around monitoring her preferred dress like a model in front of a fashion jury. "Vera at the beginning of work here has an undercut haircut with three piercings in the ear and one on the forehead. If you saw her, you wouldn't believe she was a woman. Haha."
"Boss Margot always steals the chance to embarrass me. It's the umpteenth time he's brought his first impression of me to people." Vera's eye-twisting-like was already immune to being a subject of ridicule. He refocused on slicing the apple into a goose.
"Well, as a tomboyish girl, Vera is more insightful about fashion than I am." Fawn smiled faintly. The absence of energy in Fawn's voice today made Vera occasionally look at him in wonder.
Is Fawn sick or something? Is she lacking vitamin D because she keeps locked up in this house?
"Vera learn. Right, Vera?" Margot looked at Vera with a witty look. Communicating with his bodyguards was mysterious while Fawn did not understand at all what they were communicating. Something about Vera was probably known to Margot.
"That's how it is" Vera said as if unperturbed. He stood up and lifted the tray full of sliced apples towards Margot and Fawn. First, he offers to Fawn who refuses with a skirt - then turns to Margot who takes two slices once.
"Fawn, are you okay?" Vera was a little worried.
"Huh, I'm good."
"You don't look excited."
Margot was still chewing on her apple when she spoke, "Fawn was still in shock because her position as Ace's toy had been replaced."
"Don't talk nonsense." Fawn was angry and disgusted. "I'm fine, and just so you know - rather than in shock, I'm really, really happy that I don't have to deal with your psychopathic sister!"
"Well, you do look very happy." said Margot sarcastically. If Fawn was happy, she might have been lethargic all day. Margot did not believe Fawn's words at all.
"Anyway, Fawn-" Margot put her shirt on the hanger and headed for Vera once again to pluck a slice of apple that Vera had arranged like a rabbit. "Do you know who's gonna be my partner tonight?"
"Who?"
"Take a guess!"
"I don't want to play." Fawn is tired of Margot's childishness.
"Come on, guess now!!!" Margot did not want to lose, her voice began to whine spoiled.
"Haw..." Fawn wants to shoot herself in the head under stress. Damn, this place is full of crazy people. I don't want Fawn to give up. "Well, what is Jem?"
"No."
"No!"
"David?"
Margot immediately scowled, "How can you guess David? Am I like a pathetic old maid who doesn't have a sidecar to the point of bringing my own bodyguard to the party?" Margot stomped her legs irritated.
"Then, who?"
"Baiklaaah, I will say, I will say..." Margot dramatized her answer as if calming down a room full of people. He held up his hands in the air like he was being held at gunpoint.
Margot is too deep to dive into her crazy role to the point that she looks real crazy, Fawn is afraid that what she sees now is not Margot's persona anymore. That woman is crazy.
"My partner is." Margot hung her words in the air before locking her eyes on Fawn. "Fugitive."
"Huh?" Fawn widened her eyes for a moment.
Vera wasn't surprised, she knew. Vera just didn't think Margot would reveal Anggara's subject to Fawn.
"What are you planning?" Fawn tensing. "You're not trying to do something to Angga's boss, are you?"
"Awww, why do you make me sound like a criminal?" Margot frowned as if not understanding why Fawn was irritated. But he understands.
"Your boss Angga, he invited me personally as his partner, Fawn. Tsk, tsk, tsk. You're overreacting."
"Boss Angga-no, you must have done something." Fawn won't trust Margot. Anggara that Fawn knew was a figure who strongly condemned the existence of the Hunter family.
"I didn't do anything meaningful" said Margot. "Vera did everything."
"What's? What's that supposed?" Fawn turned to Vera who had since stood like a garden-hand statue holding a tray stably.
"I? What the hell am I doing?" Vera was confused.
"Awww, Ver..., did you forget? Because of the kindness of your heart that helped Angga in Leviathan that day, Angga felt the need to return the favor to us."
"helpful? What's going on?" Fawn was still confused because the information from Margot was too mystical.
"Vera, explain it to her later - I don't like talking over and over again." Margot left the topic to Vera before heading to the dressing table. "Oh yeah, it's not what you think it is. I didn't initiate anything, but Anggara was the one who started to approach me. Do you think we'll be compatible?"
Not at all, Fawn thought inwardly.
"Tell Fawn, what do you think of Angga? He's been your boss for a long time, hasn't he? Have you ever thought about wanting it in your bed?"
"I've never seen Angga's boss like that" Fawn-said a little uncomfortable.
In Fawn's eyes, Anggara is her mother's life-saving hero. A loving figure helps him and his sickly mother to live a comfortable life in the city. Rather than looking at Anggara like a man who wowed the eyes, Fawn looked at Anggara like an angel. Meritorious figure. He changed his life for that man.
"Haaaah, you're really pathetic. As a woman who's barely 25, don't you ever feel a little lustful? You're not normal."
Speaking of lust, the answer is no. Fawn had no other life but to be a bodyguard. His interactions with men were always about work. Instead of thinking about struggling in bed, Fawn always wrestled with the man on the mat, hands locking their necks until they shouted in surrender.
"What about you, Ver?" Margot turned to Vera. "What do you think of Anggara? Have you interacted a few times? A one? Two? Is your heart not rippling at his good looks? He's like a prince, isn't he?"
Different from Fawn who was feeling uneasy with Fawn's question, Vera pondered Margot's words with seriousness before answering with a sledgehammer. "I think Angga's boss is pretty handsome, but for a guy with a social class that's a lot different than me, I don't think I'd feel anything other than his shyness."
"Awww, is this the 20th century? Social inequality is no longer a reason not to fall in love. Just look at Ace, he's keeping Fawn."
"Hey!" reprimand Fawn objections. Just because Ace keeps it, doesn't mean Ace loves him.
"I've always kept myself rational, boss." Vera responded back. "Wants a guy who's on top of my porch - I think it's going to get me in trouble. A man like Mr. Anggara too - I don't think he'll put feelings to a bodyguard."
Let's stay rational, is the crux of Vera's speech. Fawn understood that what Vera said was the truth. No matter how sweet a society calls for equality, love that accepts what it is or all other cliches, that ideal speech cannot deny the fact that love sometimes has limits to consider.
Not only Anggara, the law also applies to Ace.
So, let's not discuss fantasy romance here.
