"You can cry if you want" said Margot. Sitting leaning against a single sofa overlooking the balcony, Margot turned her head towards Vera. The female bodyguard who had served him for the past few years.
Although Vera showed a flat expression on her face, Margot could not help but be curious about the woman's heart. Vera-deep in the depths of her heart, may be grieving and hurt.
"I can't find any reason why I should cry, boss." Vera responded.
"Isn't Anggara's death enough to make you shed tears? You guys are in a relationship, aren't you? Well, even though I ended up using the relationship for my benefit, you started it sincerely."
Margot's words made Vera pensive for a moment. Unable to control her thoughts, Anggara's face - which first smiled at her - invites her into a somewhat distorted relationship - pops into Vera's mind. When the conflict and war between families has not grown and burned everything to ashes, the relationship between Vera and Anggara was once quite pleasant.
"It was a pretty impressive moment." Vera mutters. "But I won't cry. What happens between me and Anggara is a relationship that happens outside of work. When I work, I won't involve my feelings at all."
"Does that mean you're just gonna cry when you get home from work?" Margot scoffed.
"Rather than that, it's more like I won't cry at all."
The relationship of Vera and Anggara was originally a relationship that runs purely because of attraction to each other. Consensual relationships with no work involved at all.
However, after Margot takes an interest in the relationship, Vera finds out that there is no future in the relationship and Anggara decides to make the relationship part of his mission. He knits closeness, establishes trust, solely so that Anggara is captivated by him.
Making a man depend on him is not difficult for Vera. He had many relationships before with Anggara, Vera knew what he had to do to create the illusion of affection.
When Vera is captured and interrogated in the basement of the Caspian family, Vera saves Anggara because it was the mission Ace gave her. Ace knows that Evan will use Anggara, Ace knows that Anggara will obey Evan blindly. Ace knew that Anggara would die at Fawn's hands.
Ace shares that information with Vera the night he was caught red-handed with Anggara, in short, Ace tells Vera that, if he wants to live longer, he should side with the side that will win. That side, unquestionably, is definitely on the Ace side.
"I've made my decision" Vera said. "My loyalty to the Hunter family will not rival my personal feelings. Besides, to cry for a man, I need to put my heart on him to get hurt." But Vera didn't do that. He sympathizes with Anggara as the man who will lose later, but he does not love the man. So then...
"I'm glad to hear that your loyalty is greater to me, Vera. If you had been Fawn, forsaking your loyalty to your loved ones, I would have been very sad."
"Do you love me so much, boss Margot?" replace Vera who seduces Margot.
"I'd be so sad if I had to get rid of you."
"I thought you'd be a little romantic with me, Boss."
"That's a great hope." Margot stretched her back and yawned big. "Ah, it's 10 p.m. Why hasn't Fawn come home yet? I want to take her to dinner."
"Maybe he needs to calm down, boss. From me, the one who might be shaken by Anggara's death is Fawn. Given that the man had already lived like a god on Fawn's head, getting rid of him must have left nothing to be sure."
"Well, that makes sense." Margot got off the couch and stretched her hips. He was about to head to bed when Vera closed the balcony door. For once more that night, Margot looked up at the moonless sky. "Tomorrow is Monday." murmured Margot.
Tomorrow, everything will be resolved.

Monday came with clear skies. Ace came out of the room with a thin smile blooming on his face. While he was out of his room anyway, Carcel greeted him with a polite bow.
"Are you ready today, Carcel?" Ace asked to say hello.
"We're all set, boss."
"What about Uncle Jack? I haven't heard any information from him."
"He'll be here by 10."
Ace sauntered past Carcel and headed for the kitchen. He needs to fill his stamina to be ready to face today. The most important day he had been waiting for. The day that will lead him to an absolute victory.
"Boss Ace," Carcel followed Ace from behind while heading towards the dining table. "I got word from Rio today."
"Well, how's it going?" Recalling what happened yesterday, Fawn did a good job. But why hasn't he come back yet?
"Fawn found Vita Harmond's residence yesterday."
"..." Ace's move stopped for a moment. "Then?"
"We've given him information about Vita's whereabouts as the Boss ordered."
The intended information is about Vita moving abroad. Of course, that information was a complete falsity. Vita Harmon has disappeared not only from her home, but from life. The woman's existence has Ace vanished from the map.
"What was Fawn's reaction to that information?" Ace looked at Carcel. He waited for his bodyguard's response while pulling a bench on the dining table.
"He showed no meaningful reaction. However, something seems to have happened when Fawn came out of the Rashid family residence. Rio said, Fawn spent a long time talking to Anggara before killing him. There's a possibility, something they're talking about has created an awkwardness in Fawn's behavior."
"Something, huh?" Ace pondered in confusion.
"That man, even when he died, he still had a way of harassing me. What did he say to Fawn?"
"..." - ".The problem is, Carcel doesn't know the context of their conversation.
"Forget it," Ace said immediately. "What else is left for them to talk about other than my whereabouts, right?"
"Is there any possibility for Fawn to know what's really going on, boss?"
"There's always a possibility." Ace paused his remarks as Felix came and served breakfast on the table.
"I'm sorry for my delay, boss. I didn't know you were going to have breakfast today." This is a very foreign act.
"Where's Margot?" ask Ace.
"He had breakfast in his room."
"Tell him to meet me in the discussion room at 8 o'clock."
"Good, Boss." Felix then withdrew from Ace's presence.
After Felix withdrew from Ace's presence, Carcel resumed the topic that had been delayed earlier.
"Boss, can we trust Fawn completely?"
"No," Ace's reply at the time also made Carcel widen his eyes. He did not expect Ace would give a different answer regarding Fawn.
Does this mean Ace doesn't trust Fawn at all?
"Fawn is a foreign existence in this house, Carcel. But he also has a very high value for me. I appreciate it and love it so much, but I'm wise enough not to trust it completely."
Especially if the figure is Fawnia Alder. She is not a woman who is easily fooled by tricks and manipulations. Even a fake figure like Jem was unable to deceive him, Ace needed to be careful at the sharpness of the girl in reading the situation.
"What would happen if Fawn found out what happened, boss?"
"Let's see.., I'll just know what kind of decision he'll make when I see him."
