...FAWN...

...----------------...

My encounter with Vera made me think long. I'm worried about Vera, but on the one handI'm thinking about myself too.

What Vera said about wanting to protect the people she loved, wanting to put her own heart first - made me fixated. There was a creeping amazement on my chest, combined with jealousy and dilemmas.

This is not the first time I want to put my feelings first above all else. However, every time this question popped into my head, whenever the desire to side with Ace came to my mind, I always dampened the feeling back to the bottom of my heart. Lock it and pull it away.

I don't want to betray lord Anggara is my determination long ago. I do not regret my determination and purpose, I just feel...., bitter?

"Fawn?" Joseph came to me sitting alone in the cafeteria. The black coffee that accompanied me was still emitting hot steam.

"What's wrong?" I looked at Joseph from foot to head, judging him who looked hasty and frenzied?

"Six people are dead" whispered Joseph. He moved me and sat next to me. Our shoulders meet. "How is this?"

"How what? Who are you talking about?" I don't know shit.

"Mr Max sent six men to kill Mr. Ace." Joseph's voice grew faint as he uttered Ace's name. However, I don't really care. I care more about the adjoining word 'kill' with Ace's name.

Something dark and black seemed to gather in my sight, pressing down on my heart. I don't know what that feeling is, but I feel the wrath mingling in there. Makes my hand shake when I think Ace is in danger.

They put Ace in danger.

"Fawn's..."

"..."

"Fawn?" I didn't know what Joseph called, but he managed to pull my consciousness back into reality. My hands were still shaking and I could not control my body's reaction at all. The cold heat blending in created horror.

"How about this, Fawn? What if we're sent to kill Mr Ace?" The reason for Joseph's excitement was finally spoken. Joseph worried about himself was a natural thing.

"Is Mr Ace okay?" I'm worried about Ace, and it was a mistake. Ace is my opponent now, at least on the surface he is an opponent. But.., my heart aches thinking that she's hurt. Ace hates getting hurt, it's driving his anger out of control and I'm not there. I wasn't on Ace's side to calm him down. All this is making me depressed.

"Did you hear what I was telling you just now? Six people are dead and that's on our side. We're." Joseph dramatized his words. "They're Mr. Max's men, actually. But.., still, those six people meant six lives, and they were erased from this earth so easily. Oh, shite! I would have died if I had been told to kill Master Ace!"

"Why are they doing this?"

I mean..., wouldn't sending six people to die at Ace's hand be a futile act? Facing head-on with Ace-with the goal of the massacre is not a side the Caspian family can win.

Ace has well-trained bodyguards and such overly outspoken actions are just like boring jokes in the eyes of the Hunter family. Six people died for free. What is Mr Max thinking?

"Think of yourself, Fawn." Joseph complained. "Mr Ace is a monster. You may not know that much because you've never faced him for long, but I, I once breathed in the same room as him. Just the two of them, and it was like my lungs had stopped functioning. He's not an ordinary man. He's a demon."

"Joe, watch what you say. Mr. Ace is Miss Indira's best friend." He is also an important person to me. Even though what Joseph just said about Ace wasn't a mistake or a lie, I still didn't like it when Ace was being vilified. Ace is a monster, but he's my monster.

"Who cares whose friend he is. We're gonna die, Fawn."

"I care." I said. "So your words. Also, if you want to die early, just keep saying Mr. Ace's name with your mouth. Mr. Evan would be very happy to send you to the Hunter family mansion."

"Damn." Joseph cursed, he glanced left right and was relieved to find no one listening to our conversation. Because it's dangerous. Ace's name is very taboo here.

"Those six people, tell me what happened?" I asked for more detailed information on that topic. As I recall, before I left yesterday, I saw about six people preparing to leave. Those six people..., is that them?

"They die. What do you want to know?" Joseph answered me in surprise. "One shot was lodged in each of their skulls. Right on target between the eyebrows. It's as if the area's been marked."

"That's..."

"It's terrible" Joseph cut. As if I understood what I was about to say. But not entirely.

Granted, it's terrible, but it can't be ruled out either, if it's amazing. Being able to shoot six people on target, right in the same position, required skill and eagle eyes. I myself do not have such perfect ability and precision.

"Fawn, do you think Mr. Max will order us to kill master you know who?" Joseph censors Ace's name from his speech, but it doesn't really cover up or erase the figure he's referring to. Deaf people will still understand who Joseph meant.

"I don't think so." I feel Mr. Max has no confidence in us at all. If he had believed me and Joseph a little, or Anggara's boss, the bodyguards guarding Rashid's residence would have joined him here instead of the mercenaries.

"In my opinion, yes, the opportunity to get rid of mister ukhm...., I think paying the principle is more accurate, right? They work in silence and in hiding, their chances of infiltrating and bang.., greater than confronting him head-on like a fool."

"You may be right" I said, but I didn't like the idea. The thought that Mr. Max was going to hire an asalin to kill Ace made my stomach grow nauseous.

I think of the murder of Mr. Harkin and his wife. Although I do not understand the details, I heard from Ace that the culprit was Evan or Anggara, I believe it was Evan. Murder, for whatever reason, for whatever reason, murder is murder. The root of all the problems that are happening now is due to the greed of the Caspian family who has dared to touch the leader of the Hunter family.

"I hope we don't die, Fawn." Joseph is still agitated. However, I stopped paying attention to him and went back to sipping my warmed coffee.

I hope Ace doesn't die.

...----------------...

Anggara's boss was summoned to face the Caspian residence this morning.

When the clock showed at eight in the morning, I found him waltzing at the front door. White shirt, black pants. I heard from Vera, the relationship between Anggara and Vera's boss is already known by Evan, it's quite surprising and not really. Mr. Evan isn't a fool, so I'm not really surprised when he finds out. Mr. Evan must have found his own way.

Back to the main topic, if Anggara's boss comes here. I'll approach her soon. Pineapple bran bread was still hanging in my mouth when I greeted him. Bowing deeply before facing towards him was full of relief.

I've wanted to see him for a long time, but Angga's boss once warned us not to meet him and focus only on Indira. However, the problem lies in that command..., how could I possibly be able to focus on Miss Indi if I did not even see her nose stem at all?

"Good morning, boss Angga." I greeted him while holding my pineapple bread in front of my chest.

"Good morning, Fawn." Boss Anggara doesn't look so happy.

"Is there a problem?" I unintentionally voiced my anxiety.

"Yes?" boss Anggara was surprised at my question.

"Sorry," damn. What happened to my mouth? "I just feel Angga's boss looks unhappy."

"I can't be happy with my sister being a prisoner here, Fawn." Anggara's boss chimed in on me and reopened his steps. We walked side by side towards Mr. Evan's workspace on the second floor. During the trip, we talked about Miss Indira who had no news at all.

I asked that I be reassigned to start Anggara boss only, because for God's sake, I don't work here at all. Unfortunately, as I expected, Anggara's boss gave a rejection.

"Just focus on Indira" he said.

Oh my, I'm almost crazy here. Doesn't Angga's boss understand how frustrating it is to live here feeling alienated? The other guards stared at us without concern. We were just here to finish our food and coffee.

"Mr Max sent six men to kill Mr. Ace a few days ago." I brought up the topic. "Do the bosses know?"

"No."

Thats odd. What Mr. Max excluded Anggara's boss from his planning. I thought Rashid's family gave his support to this family? Is it natural for them to do something without notification to the Rashid family first?

"I know what you're thinking" Boss Anggara was like reading my expression. He stopped at the end of the stairs, his eyes looking at me quietly. "Don't worry about anything. Just think of Indira."

"But Angga boss, are you going to be okay?"

"I'll make an effort." Angga's boss developed a faint smile there. "Remember what I said Fawn, you just need to be there for Indira. He doesn't know anything."

"All right."

No. gabe. I feel bad.
