From what Jack Hunter informed him, coinciding with Ace and Fawn's meeting today, several bodyguards from the Hunter residence were sent to Caspian's residence to rescue Vera. Ace who met Fawn did not come just to enter Evan's trap, but rather as a diversion as well.

With Evan and Anggara's eyes fully focused on this encounter, Evan will not realize that David is attacking his mansion. Nor will they realize that Lilian Alder has been saved.

Hearing the information unravel in front of him, Fawn felt very grateful for the help Ace had given her and her mother. However, at the same time, Fawn is worried about Ace's current situation.

Jack looked at Fawn for a moment, before finally shaking his head. "I'm sorry, I don't think Margot would want that."

As he breezed through the hospital's leisurely corridors as well, Jack recalled Fawn's unusually sad expression. The girl was completely crushed like Ace wanted her destroyed.

Jack was curious, what did Ace think to mentally mess with the person he liked so badly? Jack himself until uncomfortable face to face.

No. gabe. How could he be comfortable in front of the crying girl, when he knew the cause of the crying girl was sitting on the hospital bed eating a slice of apple?

"How's Fawn doing?" asked Ace, Jack Hunter's nephew was sitting on the bed with one leg dangling by the side of the iron bed. He changed his clothes with a red suit and black pants.

"He was in his mother's room. He's also very worried about you. I think he almost fainted on the road so stressed."

"He'll hold on" Ace responded with a calm expression. It was as if the fact that Fawn was injured by it did not make her feel bad or guilty at all. Well, maybe not.

"David's back with Vera, he called me ten minutes ago." Jack sat on the sofa in the room. His hand reached for a green wine from the fruit basket and ate it. "She also said something interesting about your personal mission to him."

"That's just one of the few things I need to do."

"You asked him to kill an Indira bodyguard who had no major influence on the game, Ace."

"You don't know anything" Ace said. "The bastard had dared to take my husband away from my game board. Do you think I'll let him live?"

Jack dumbfounded. Did his nephew show jealousy?

"Joseph," errat Ace. "His name is Joseph, and he's one of the obstacles I finally got rid of."

"Do you think this is okay, Fawn can know and blame you."

"He wouldn't blame me if he was too busy blaming himself."

But, listening to that narrative straight from Ace's lips, it felt a bit cruel.

"What are you going to do with Evan and Anggara now?"

"Let them have fun for now." Ace said. "I will hide here for a while, then.., if the time has come, I will attack them."

"Why not now? I think the situation is very fitting now."

"I need to wait for Lilian Alder's health to deteriorate."

"Huh?"

Ace did not repeat what he said. He just sat on his bed with his eyes fixed on the reflection of the light of the lamp in his apple.

Lilian Alder would be gravely ill until she reached critical and died. This was a secret known only to Rio, Ace and the doctor who dealt with Lilian's health.

In other words, Fawn had not known the news of Lilian thoroughly. He did not know if his mother's surgery had failed and worsened his health. That, without the support of the machine Lilian should no longer be on earth.

Initially, Ace kept the information a secret because he did not want Fawn to grieve and lose hope. Therefore, he paid the hospital to help Lilian stay alive no matter how bad her condition was. However, now, with the situation between Anggara and Fawn, Ace thought it was time he lifted that hope from Fawn. It just needs to make everything an Anggara's fault.

"What are you laughing at?"

"Huh?"

Jack frowned suspiciously. "You look scary with that demon grin."

"Tsk, don't bother anyone who's happy, uncle."

A witty grin is faintly blurred on Ace's face when Jack mentions his relationship and Fawnia. A grin that implies cunning and evil. "If I wasn't like this, Fawn wouldn't love me."

"Like demons?"

"The devil is willing to do anything for her."

"Aren't you afraid that one day Fawn will find out about this black side of you? You know, he could've run away from you again, you know."

"Fawn won't run away." Ace was very confident in his answer. He had no idea that there would be a time when Fawn would leave him. No. gabe.

In the future, Ace already has Fawn there.
