Chapter 50: Josh's Promise

Coming back from the hospital. Josh led Evelyn into the room, with great caution. He had wanted to carry his wife, but of course got a rejection from Evelyn.

Arriving in the room, Evelyn immediately threw herself on the bed, with her hand unwilling to let go of her husband's hand.

"You're not going anywhere, honey. I'm scared," said Evelyn. Fear was painted on his face. He really still imagined how the explosion of the old building, to make him cry hysterically.

"I'm not going anywhere, honey. Relax, I'm already here, and I'll stay by your side. You, just rest now, take care of your body condition, because you're with our child" Josh said, stroking Evelyn's stomach with a smile. He can't wait to meet his son.

"I'm sorry I didn't ask you and chose to leave the house" Evelyn said with a sad face.

"It wasn't your fault. I'm guilty of hiding the fact that I've been with Rose before with Sarah" Josh said. "I'm too wedge for a woman as good as you, Evelyn," she continued.

"You're gonna forgive me?" josh asked again, staring intensely at Evelyn.

Evelyn smiled. "I've always forgiven you, provided you didn't betray me" he said.

Josh hugged Evelyn and kissed her forehead. "We're starting to come back from the beginning, with our baby of course" she whispered.

"ah! I feel like our baby is moving" Evelyn said. "It looks like he's very happy to hear your voice, honey," he continued.

Josh put his ear to Evelyn's stomach. "Yes, Honey. Daddy's gonna take care of you and Mommy."

"What's? You want a car?"

Evelyn spontaneously hits Josh's small arm. "You're weird. He couldn't have asked for a car" he said.

"He wants Dexter Corporation stock, honey," Evelyn joked with a chuckle.

"alright. Whatever it is, if it's for my son's sake, I'll give it to him. In fact, maybe his Grandpa will give," replied Josh.

"Come, Honey. To our baby are you jealous?" josh is smiling.

"Hm. I don't want to talk to you anymore." Evelyn immediately stroked her stomach. "Darling, your Daddy is too stingy with Mommy" he told the baby.

"Hey! You're complaining about the no-no, honey. Okay, okay. Now tell me what you want, hmm?" josh asked so fondly by wiping his wife's black mane.

Evelyn puffed her cheeks, her eyes looking upwards. He was thinking, smiling at Josh, "I just want you to be by my side, until our baby is born. Please, don't make me as sad as what happened in that building" he said.

Josh smiled, he kissed Evelyn fondly, then moved on the cheek and landed on her lips. After that, he cupped his wife's face and stared at her intensely. "Whatever it is, as long as you ask. I'll obey him, even if you lock me in this house," he said.

While under. Eric was treating Nina's leg which had sprained. "Don't move too much" said Eric.

Nina nodded. "thank you. It's getting a little better now, and it's not too painful" he said with a smile.

"You need to rest, Nina. I'm going to go see Master Luise now," Eric said immediately.

Nina pulled the arm of her lover. "Please sit down first" he said.

"What's wrong?"

"Can you no longer be involved with them? Not that I forbid you, but…"

Eric rubbed Nina's hand. She knew that if her lover was very worried about her, it was what Nina had always feared all this time to avoid her. He does not want Eric to get hurt if he continues to deal with the affairs of the rich.

"You don't worry so much like that. Everything's gonna be fine. Now, you have to rest in the room, I'll take you, '" Eric said, standing up. He immediately led the lover to his room.
