"Why did you come here?!"

Hearing the baritone's voice, the two people who were sitting with Evelyn were immediately shocked and turned their bodies.

"Josh?" Evelyn was equally surprised, but she immediately ran over to her husband.

"For them to come here, Evelyn?" josh asked without diverting his attention from the two men who were looking down.

"I don't know. But, it seems like there is something they want to talk to us about," Evelyn replied looking doubtful.

Josh immediately walked up to them and sat down in front of the two men. He stared at the two sharply, his arrival was definitely due to money or something else they were after.

Yeah, Maria and Bennet came to Evelyn and Josh's house. I don't know where he got his second address. What is certain is that their arrival is not merely because they miss the child, but something is desired.

"So, what made you come here and dare to set foot in my house?" asked Josh with a sharp look. Not without reason Josh behaved like this to his in-laws.

When Josh asks Eric to investigate Evelyn's background and family, he learns that the two people in front of him are not worthy of being called parents. "You don't know yourself, Evelyn! We grew up and took care of it from small to big! Taking care of a kid like you is not easy! We lost a lot of money and you should be filial with replacing it now!" jolt Maria half glared.

"Isn't caring for and raising a child the duty of every parent? Why do you even seem to make me a money-making machine that must be available every time you need money?" Evelyn ventured to answer her mother's words. "Mom should also appreciate me as a child. Why would you sell your own children to make up for your debts?!" with a little hunting breath.

"You're getting brazen Evelyn! Is this your luxurious life that turned you into the arrogant you are now?! You don't know thank you for raising us so well and you have to remember, your life is as luxurious as it is now thanks to us!" press Maria with her perfectly rounded eyes.

"That's because you sold me to pay off Dad's debts! Why are you just coming here now? Just before my husband came, you didn't show any intention to ask for money. I guess you guys came here sincerely because I was hoping to see your faces again" Evelyn said, crying.

"Stop, Evelyn. You don't have to shed your tears just for people like them. Even though they're your parents, they've hurt you! You have to remember the pain, Evelyn!" josh firmly while pulling his wife's hand to his side.

"Listen to Mom, Evelyn! You have to give us the money now. Your father's almost dying, look at him! He had already endured the pain of being able to come here!" Maria firmly.
