Chapter 30: Silence

The next day Josh woke up alone. She did not see Evelyn come in to wake her, not knowing where she was going. Not as usual. Josh got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower first.

When finalized. He was surprised because there was a shirt and suit on the bed. But, there's no Evelyn here. Josh was confused, was Evelyn avoiding him? Or does he know something? The woman heard her activities in the bathroom yesterday.

Josh's face stiffened at the thought of what if Evelyn knew what she was doing. To shake off his thoughts, he immediately put on clothes and got ready. Maybe the woman was downstairs, preparing breakfast.

When we got to the bottom floor. Josh immediately walks into the dining room to see if Evelyn is there or really isn't. But thankfully when she arrived at the dining room, Evelyn was there and was sitting with food in her mouth.

"Why didn't you wake me up, Evelyn?" ask Josh while sitting down. Then he looked at Nina, "where is my food?" tanyakanya.

Nina immediately prepared a makeshift sandwich because it was not as usual for the man to eat at this dining table.

"You haven't answered my question, Evelyn. Are you suddenly mute?" josh asked once again, staring at the woman there.

The distance between the two is indeed far away, not sitting side by side like a husband and wife. Somehow Josh was upset by himself because Evelyn was not flinching.

"Geely!" josh half frowned.

Evelyn sighed. Then put the spoon and fork on the plate. Looks like he's done breakfast. "Sorry, but I can't seem to keep waking up your–. Because I can't keep waking up that early while doing other tasks. But, when you take a shower I will prepare the clothes. Excuse me," Evelyn said as she stood up.

Evelyn who walked past Josh was immediately resistant by pulling his hand. The woman looked nervous and poked her lips hoping nothing would happen.

"You're starting to give up your duties as Evelyn's wife? What if I complained to Mommy and said you didn't take care of me well."

Evelyn who heard that immediately turned her body. "It should be that if you just wake up, you don't have to wait for me to wake you up. For the sake of clothing, I always prepare it" Evelyn replied.

"Yes, you have to wake me up too. What if I get late and go to the office? Are you the one who wants to replace him?"

"Tomorrow I'll put the alarm clock on again. Jad-"

"No!" josh got up from his seat. "You have to wake me up every morning, no rejection! Because I don't like being rejected!" firmly then.

Josh was almost at the door. But, he felt annoyed that Evelyn did not drop him off. "He's that cold, huh? It sucks!"

Josh came out of the house with a little slamming the door in annoyance.

While Evelyn who saw Josh's behavior this morning was only able to frown confused. "What's the matter today" he murmured.

"It seems like Master is being exposed to the virus, Miss," Nina's dream of suddenly being next to Evelyn.

Evelyn turned her body to face Nina. "What do you mean, Na? Was yesterday's fever still not cured until it was exposed to the virus?"

Nina poked her lips in laughter. Then immediately replied, "I mean, love virus, Miss."

Evelyn immediately frowned, puzzled. Why the love virus? Is it that easy for Josh to fall back in love after being betrayed by Sarah? Her thought.

"You mean she's in love again? It'll be that easy, huh? She was just betrayed by Sarah." Evelyn asked to confirm her thoughts.

"We'll see Miss. Master is in love with whom" replied Nina as she closed her mouth, holding back laughter. He was really laughing at the woman in front of him, because he was insensitive.

"We just need Mr. Luise's signature. But, it seems like Mister will not just give his signature later," Eric replied.

"Hm... Had to wait until Daddy was healed, yeah. Or should I look for another land?"

"Are you already dealing to build housing there, sir?" Eric asked to be sure.

"Hm... It looks like I'm going to postpone the minimalist home building project, and replace it with my spare– project," Josh said by opening the other file.

"New project, sir? What other construction?"

"Building a luxury hotel and there is a casino in it. It seems like it would be very profitable to open a casino in the country. Evidently there are some of the best casinos there," said Josh with a smile when he saw the design of the hotel he wanted to build.

"Have you acquired that strategic land?" eric asked seriously.

"I'm going to call someone there, and look for land that's ready for sale and its strategic location."

After the two talked. Josh immediately invited Eric to go out for air immediately because he felt tired all day having to deal with several clients and read all the files that came in.

Josh invites Eric to the shopping area. Then, stop his car in front of a mobile phone store. "Hurry down, and buy Evelyn a new phone. That's good and not out of date" he told Eric.

I saw Eric get out of the car and into the store. Josh got out of the car and headed for a store. After that he came back before Eric left the cell phone store.

Shortly after, Eric shows up and gets into the car. Then, thrust the paper bag containing the phone to the master.

"You sure this is the best phone?" josh asked to make sure he checked it immediately and turned on the phone.

"I'm sure, Sir. That's the latest release, one month ago," Eric replied.

"OKAY. Let's go, shall we go home?!"

The car drove back down the road. They did not return to the company but instead chose to return home.

Arriving home, Josh got out of the car. Eric didn't get out of the car, because he had to get the car into the garage.

Josh went into the house. She could see Evelyn in the kitchen with Nina. He began to go up to the second floor with a sag. Then, go into Evelyn's room and put the paper bag on the bed.

A few hours later. Evelyn who had just entered the room was shocked, with a paper bag and a bouquet of flowers on the bed. He frowned as he approached and looked at the contents of the paper bag.

"Mobile? Did Eric put it here? But, why did he give her all the flowers?" he murmured in question.

Evelyn immediately turned on the phone, and after a sudden life her phone rang. On the screen was a "My Love" name".

Curiously, Evelyn quickly picked him up. "Hello?"

"New phone for you, and a bouquet of flowers for an apology."

Evelyn's eye beads are perfectly rounded. Did he not hear wrong? He tried to pinch his hand hoping it was just his dream. But, it turns out that he did come to his senses and this is real.
