Chapter 23: The Condition of Lord Luise

The white car meandered on the steep road quickly. Behind him was a black car trying to overtake him.

"What's with the car in the back, Markus! It seems to be lurking around us" asked Master Luise in panic.

Markus kept driving away from the black car. It seems that it is true that Mr. Luise is guessing that someone is following them. "I don't know, Sir. Handle, Master. I'll speed up," said Markus.

Both cars reached undue speeds. The road does look empty because it is still too early, but certainly not good on the steep road to increase vehicle speed. Until the white car in the back accelerates the vehicle and hits the black car that was carrying Mr. Luise.

The black car was not broken. Once again the white car hit him hard.

The black car crashed into a roadblock and caused it to overturn.

After seeing the black car overturned. The white driver quickly left the location.

Markus half-consciously immediately tried to get out from within. His body was full of wounds, he was in a hurry to see the master who turned out to be thrown out.

"Ah... Sir, can you hear my voice?" sigh Markus while checking the situation of Mr. Luise.

Feeling no response, Markus took pains to reach into his phone and immediately called Eric. "Hello, Eric. Pl-please... Me and Master Luise were in an accident!"

Eric was surprised there. "Where are you? I'll be sliding soon!"

After getting an answer, Eric immediately rushed to the location where Mr. Luise and Markus were, as well as calling the medics.

Once there, Mr. Luise and Markus were immediately taken by the hospital. Eric and some of the other men immediately checked the car. He pulled out the dashboard footage that was in the car for inspection. Then, after that they also secured the damaged car quite badly.

Arriving at the hospital, Mr. Luise and Markus were immediately treated. Eric tried to contact Mrs Irish and inform her of the accident.

Evelyn who got the news, quickly ran towards the second floor. He had to tell Josh. Not been able to knock on the door, apparently Josh first opened it.

With a frown, Josh asked, "why is your face so panicked, Evelyn?"

"Daddy!"

"What's up with Daddy, Evelyn! Talk the right way!" josh protest.

"Daddy accident!"

"What?!" Josh was surprised to hear Evelyn's statement, he asked again. "Who told you? Then where's Daddy now?"

Evelyn did not answer, and suddenly Eric called. Josh picked up the phone and asked the truth about his father. "What's going on, Eric? Is Daddy really an accident?"

Josh was still staring at Evelyn in disbelief, afraid that the woman was lying. Then he frowned after getting an answer from Eric.

"Come with me!" take Josh after turning off his phone with Eric.

The two immediately went down the stairs and rushed to the car. Nina who saw that wanted to ask, but Evelyn immediately shook her head gesturing it was okay.

Josh and Evelyn get in the car. For the first time, Josh got into the car with Evelyn beside him. He started the car and drove it to the hospital Eric had mentioned.

Both of them looked agitated, plus Josh was driving the car quickly. It made Evelyn even more worried and reprimanded, "slow down! You don't have to speed like this!"

"Yes but what if we crash too because you're speeding too much? Daddy's been dealt with, you don't add panic by speeding like this. I don't want to die!" strangled Evelyn who was firmly gripping the car seat.

With a snort, Josh also lowered the speed of his vehicle. He tried to obey Evelyn, because he did not want anything to happen either.

Arriving at the hospital. The two immediately ran towards the emergency room.

"How's Daddy doing?" josh approached the mother who was there.

"It's still a doctor's appointment, Josh. I'm worried about Daddy... What if something happens to her?" Madam Irish started crying again.

Josh immediately grabbed the mother and hugged the middle-aged woman. "Mommy relax. Josh is here, and Josh is sure Daddy won't do anything" he said.

"What happened to Eric?" evelyn asked the man.

Eric sighed and shook his head. "I'm not sure what happened. But, I've been holding the car dashboard camera. It doesn't seem like an ordinary accident, because there are other vehicle tracks there and other car marks behind the car that you drive" he explained.

Hearing that Josh released his embrace from the mother. Then he approached Eric and asked, "did someone try to harm Daddy, Eric?"

"It seems so, sir. I will try to investigate and will later ask Mr. Mark's testimony" Eric replied accordingly. Because he also could not conclude what happened.

"Mom. Does Daddy have an enemy?" josh asked as he turned his body to face his mother.

Mistress Irish hesitated. Because she never knew about her husband's business other than the company and the five casinos. Moreover, she had never heard her husband hostile to other businessmen.

"Mommy doesn't know, Josh. Daddy could have an enemy that secretly starts attacking him. Mommy was scared," restless Madam Irish with a look of uneasy face.

Two hours passed. Due to a severe accident, doctors sentenced Mr. Luise to cerebral palsy and resulted in the middle-aged man being treated intensively.

Mrs Irish wept bitterly when she heard the doctor's statement. She asked for better treatment and was willing to spend a lot of money for the recovery of her husband.

"We're looking for the best hospital, Mom. I'll call Brother."

Josh's words managed to make Mrs Irish turn her head and look at her sharply. "What did you say, Josh?"

"Mom. For Daddy's sake, we need Big Brother, because he must know best. So, let me call Brother, will you?" talk to Josh by pleading.

Yes, Josh is not the only child of Mrs Irish and Mr. Luise. She has a two-year-old sister on it. Unfortunately, because of the selfishness of his family, the brother was forced to leave the house because he did not want to be betrothed three years ago.

"Do you know where your brother is? Didn't Daddy tell you not to have any more contact with Jesslyn?" ask Mrs Irish.

Josh breathed out slowly. "Sorry, Mom. I always find out about Brother, and we always exchange news. I'll call him right now" Josh said.

Madam Irish no longer spoke. Maybe, Josh has a point, he has to lower his ego for the sake of the recovery of the husband. Jesslyn is a doctor.

"Where is he now, Josh?" ask Mrs Irish. For a long time she did not know the news of the child, because her husband always forbade.

"Sister's already the best doctor in California, Mom. He succeeded in becoming a deputy director at a well-known hospital" explained Josh. Then, he tried to contact his brother and a little away from his mother.

Evelyn who just found out was trying to get close to the in-law. He embraced Madam Irish and gently rubbed her arms to just strengthen the middle-aged woman.
