Chapter 42: The Happy News

A month has passed. Day after day they passed quietly without Sarah's interference even Evelyn's parents. Josh and Evelyn also seem to be getting happier, especially Josh is very happy when the construction of a five-star hotel design has been running almost 30%.

As usual, Evelyn had to wake her husband up that morning. However, this time there was something different with Evelyn, she had prepared something. A small gift box that has itself decorated with pink and blue pinta.

Evelyn smiled as she woke up her husband. He starts to wake Josh by pinching his cheek, then turns to his nose and this time Evelyn tickles Josh's stomach.

Until the man started writhing, groaning a little and stretching his muscles. "What time is it, baby?" josh asked in a raucous voice, typical of people waking up.

"It's still 5, honey. But you gotta get up, come on!" evelyn whispered as she opened the thick blanket so that her husband would get up immediately.

Josh got up and positioned himself to sit down. Then, rubbed his eyes while pursing his lips. "Why did you wake me up at this hour, honey? Not as usual" asked Josh, yawning as he was still sleepy.

"There's something for you, but you need to close your eyes first" Evelyn said, smiling.

Josh frowned, trying to guess what his wife wanted to give it. He refused to close his eyes, "no."

"Why don't you close your eyes?" evelyn asked with a pursed forehead and pursed lips, a sign of frowning.

Seeing his wife look pout like that, Josh smiled meaningfully. "Kiss my cheek first. You haven't given me a morning kiss, honey. I need that" said Josh spoiledly.

Evelyn spontaneously pinched her husband's plan, until Josh grimaced. "It hurts, honey. Will you not give your husband this energy? You have to kiss my cheek, so that I'm excited" said Josh sulking like a child in front of Evelyn.

"Say you're a mafia. Why act like a child? You don't look like the mafia I imagined out there."

Hearing that Josh rolled his eyeballs while sighing. "Do I have to be cruel to you? Do you want to see me play with a gun? I just don't want to scare you. Anyway, I promised Daddy I wouldn't make you cry" Josh said.

"Hm... All right, it looks like this one mafia does look different," Evelyn said as she poked her husband's nose looking anxious.

"Come, you should kiss my– first, then I'll close my eyes!" insist Josh.

Evelyn immediately approached and kissed her husband's cheek, and not only the left, but her right cheek.

"Well, already. You should've gotten double the energy, 'cause I kissed your– twice."

Josh seemed to blush in embarrassment, then immediately nodded and closed his eyes. "Come on, what do you want to give me, honey. I closed my eyes" he said.

"Open your eyes" Evelyn said shyly after giving it away.

Josh frowned. He didn't even think that Evelyn would give him a box. He thought Evelyn would give him a friendly kiss.

"What is this, honey?" ask Josh who was curious and observe the box.

"just open. Hope what's in it makes you happy, baby. That's all I can give you" Evelyn said.

Josh opened the box and was surprised to see what was inside. "Darling? Is this real? You you? Are you pregnant, Evelyn?"

Evelyn smiled and immediately nodded. Then Josh immediately hugged his wife tightly, and went back to observe a pregnancy test. She did not expect Evelyn to get pregnant so soon.

Josh let go of his embrace and immediately gently rubbed the wife's flat stomach. "How long has it been?"

"It's been a month, honey. Yesterday when I went to Mommy's house, I accidentally became nauseous when I smelled the aroma of cooking. It looked strange, because it was not as usual. Then, Mommy immediately asked me to go check on her to the doctor, and we got this good news" Evelyn explained.

"Daddy knew about this pregnancy? Why didn't you tell me last night?"

"Maybe Mommy said it now. I'm sorry, because I wanted to surprise you," jawan Evelyn.

"It's very happy news, honey. I didn't think you'd get pregnant this fast. I promise to take good care of you, even you should not be going anywhere now. Eric I have to order you here, not just Nina."

"You can't be overprotective, honey. I will take good care of our son. So, we both take care of her, yes," Evelyn said with a smile.

"I can't wait to see my son. Will he be as handsome as me? Or will she be as pretty as you, honey? When can we see the gender?"

"Still a long time, honey. Maybe when I was 4 months or 5 months pregnant, we could already see it during the examination at the hospital. You have to be patient for that" Evelyn replied as she gently rubbed her husband's shoulder.

"Can I go to the office today? I want to be with you all day."

Josh seemed to be more excited, and Evelyn was grateful that her husband was so happy. Until she doesn't want to work for today, Evelyn can't seem to resist. Josh even asked Evelyn to ask Mr. Luise for permission so that Josh could take a day off, and, yes, as expected, Mr. Luise would allow it.
