Chapter 10: Apology

"I'll offer you some money, as long as you can help Me!"

Hearing the adi woman's words before her, Maria was seen commenting on a smile. This woman is very good if taken advantage of, he thought.

"What's? Who exactly are you? What's the connection to Evelyn?" ask Mary curiously.

"I'm Evelyn's husband's lover. You must know Mr. Luise Dexter, don't you? His son is my lover, and the husband of your son."

Maria's eyes are rounded. He was surprised that the woman before him could find out about Dexter's family and his family.

"It's obvious right, I'm looking for the right person and not the wrong address?" Sarah raised her eyebrows. He again put on a haughty face in front of the shabby-looking middle-aged woman.

"Yes. You're not the wrong address. But, what are you gonna ask? Because all the secrets about my daughter aren't free."

Sarah pulled the corner of her lips. Grins. He had expected that the woman would be interested in money, and would not just give information for free.

"Not much I want to know, but all I want is for you to obey my orders!" firmly Sarah. He did not speak politely as before, because for him dealing with the poor was not much profitable.

Maria's forehead shriveled. He raised his eyebrows, not wanting to lose to the haughty young lady before him. "How will you give me if I follow your orders? I don't want to lose anyway."

"5,000 dollars, are you willing to make Evelyn unconscious in the hospital? Oh, he should've died."

Mary's eyes were round, she was certainly very surprised by what this woman said. How did the boy get to the hospital? What the hell's going on? Her thought.

"Evelyn's in the hospital? What happened to my daughter? Are you trying to harm him?" freddy Maria with various questions that made her curious.

"It was only a minor incident and did not make him lose his life. So what about my offer? Do you want to take it?"

"Just 5000 dollars? Ckhus! It's too small. Especially if I get caught, what about my life?" Maria couldn't possibly have taken such a hasty step with just that five thousand dollar bill. Especially having to hurt Evelyn.

"10,000 dollars? Is it less?" ask Sarah by raising her eyebrows again. He looked at the woman firmly.

"No. Still less. How about 20,000 dollars?" haggard Maria with a grin. Of course twenty thousand dollars is still relatively small if someone's life is lost, but for him it does not matter because the opportunity to get money for free is not easy.

"Okay, deal! I'll transfer 5000 now. The rest I'll send you after you're done."

"OKAY. So, what are you gonna ask about Evelyn? And what am I supposed to do with him?"

Eric opened the car door. Josh looked at him sharply, because he still could not accept the man had complained to his father.

"Surge!" jolt Josh by pushing Eric back.

Master Luise stared at the child. He immediately touched it. "Hurry, Josh! Before Daddy takes your chances!"

The three men immediately walked into the hospital. They headed for the second floor, where Evelyn's nursery was located.

According to Nina when she told Eric earlier, Evelyn had regained consciousness a few hours ago when Mrs Irish left.

Arriving in front of the room. Nina was already there because Madam Irish had just arrived and was inside. Lords Luise and Josh enter, while Eric and Nina stay outside.

Josh saw the woman lying on the bed weak and with a needle in her hand. Madam Irish crossed her arms by staring at the arrival of the child.

"Mom!"

"What's? Mommy knows what kind of woman you brought into that house. It was a cheap, lowly woman who crawled up to curry favor with our family. Mommy's been seeing him!"

Josh's eye manic is rounded. He immediately approached and confirmed, "do you mean Mommy? Did Mommy come to Sarah? What did Mommy do to him?"

The Irish mistress chuckled, "there's nothing Mommy does but touch her cheek. You should realize who your wife is and leave that woman!"

"Mom, I told Daddy that I love Sarah. We just want to live together, why do you forbid it?" Josh begged his mother.

A new innocent man first falls in love after his past trauma. That's Josh.

Mrs Irish knows which is best for her son, especially if he does not want Josh to experience the things that make him fall again. "You just don't know who he is yet, Josh! Open your eyes, she's not a good woman!"

"I know Sarah, Mom. He's kind, he's understanding, he loves me. I don't want to part with him. That day, the day you brought this poor woman, I wanted to be honest about Sarah!" josh said with a breath. He tried to hold his anger in front of his mother.

"Alright, Josh. Your choice is only two, continue the marriage with Evelyn or lose our property" said the Irish Lady coldly. He sat down on the side of Evelyn's bed.

The woman who was still lying in the hospital bed was just staring at me glare at Josh who was now looking at him sharply.

"I'm sorry to Evelyn!" tell Mr. Luise who is now standing near Josh.

"Dad?!"

"Come, Josh. Apologize to Evelyn and leave the woman," urged Mr. Luise.

Josh forcibly swallowed his saliva–. For the sake of not being crossed out in the inheritance of his parents, he lowered his ego and tried to accept what his parents wanted.

He walked over to Evelyn and extended his hand. "Sorry, Eve. I've treated you badly. Sorry for enslaving and telling you to go to that place alone. I'm really sorry."

Evelyn turned to Lady Irish. The middle-aged woman nodded and smiled. "The decision is with you, Evelyn" he said.

Evelyn certainly felt bad for Josh. Both of his parents pressured Josh because of him. He looked at Josh who was still down with a frustrated look. Then, grab Josh's hand with all his might despite still being weak. "I've forgiven you, Josh."

Josh immediately pulled out his hand and put it back in his pants pocket. He smiled wryly and retreated back, "already, Dad. I've apologized to him" Josh said expressionlessly and immediately sat down on the sofa.

Next day.

The Irish Lady is suddenly invited to a beauty product launch event owned by her best friend and Mr. Luise has to monitor the hotel construction project with Josh and Eric.

Now, the one guarding the room only had Nina. The woman was seen sleeping on the sofa with a magazine in her hand.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came in after sliding the door of the VIP room. A person wearing a nurse uniform with a mask covering his face pushed the trolley and stopped in front of the sofa.

He approached Nina and made the woman jerk, quickly Nina was paralyzed using a handkerchief that had been sprayed with drugs.

After taking Nina down. The nurse began to approach Evelyn who was asleep, she looked around and saw the situation. Then, removing the syringe from her pocket and starting to inject the white liquid into Evelyn's infusion. Then, quickly the nurse came out of the room in a hurry.

Eric, who was suddenly ordered to return to the hospital, accidentally collided with a nurse who had just walked from the hallway of the room where Evelyn was being treated. Feeling that something is wrong, Eric runs to the VIP room and finds Nina unconscious and Evelyn convulsing.

The sound of the hospital alarm went off after Eric pressed the button. The man quickly attempted to release the infusion and several nurses with a doctor ran into the room.
