Chapter 8 Covenant and title

"What are you guys doing?" sergeant Ratna came out of his hiding place.

Jimy immediately put the box back in his pocket while the others could only stare with a shocked face.

"Eject!" ratna's orders in a threatening tone.

"What's-what?" ask Jimy stammer.

"Don't pretend to be stupid, get it out"

"What are you doing here? didn't I tell you to go back to class first?" ask Amus.

Ratna did not answer, sharply one by one he looked at.

"Well, I'll go" Ratna said.

Slowly he turned around but with eyes still watching, when they were off guard then he launched an attack.

Uwa's.....

"What are you doing?" jimy shouted as Ratna's hand tried to reach into his pocket.

"He-hey! give it back!"

"So this is why you always leave me alone! " ratna said brandishing the box.

"Hey boy don't interfere, just take care of your own business!" said the guy who always reminds Jimy.

"Who are you calling a boy?" ratna asked with glaring eyes.

"Relax Na calm" said Ardi.

Ratna turned to the box she was holding and took out a few sticks.

"Jeez... Since when did you start sucking this?" tanyakanya.

No one answered.

"Do you want me to report it to the teacher?"

"Hey relax! we can talk about it well" Ardi said quickly.

"We're third grade, it's only natural that we try" Jimy said.

"Steach say? you guys aren't even fifteen yet" Ratna replied.

"It's not necessary in the extension, we should go back to class" said Amus.

"Eh can't be like that, we've bought it! a loss if we don't wear it" the man interrupted.

"Thank you! do you not love your body? just so you know this thing is going to damage your lungs slowly" Ratna said.

"Why indeed? I bought it with my damaged money and my lungs what do you care?"

"Well then I'll bring this thing to the teacher and report you"

"Hey!" his screams were about to refute but there was no word he could get out.

With full confidence Ratna silently waited until finally the person asked in a soft voice.

"I'll give you a sign of peace, how?"

"depends! what can you give me?" ratna asked withholding a smile.

Amus, Ardi and Jimy could only gawk at Ratna's words, they did not expect him to negotiate with others as well.

"Price for that stuff" said the man.

"agree! whatis yourname?" ratna asked as she extended a hand.

"Jaya" he answered welcoming Ratna's hand.

"Be careful quickly, the bell will soon sound" Ratna said handing the object over to Jaya.

"All I know is that he's just a calculation, I didn't think he was good at negotiating either" Amus murmured, staring at Ratna's departure.

"Ah.. I don't know since when he was like this, as I remember when I was a child he was a submissive child" continued Ardi.

"It seems you know the girl well" Jaya said.

"He was our childhood friend" Jimy replied.

"Oh so, matre girl! in his brain there's only money"

"Maybe because he's poor"

"What's? he is from a poor family! oh.. he is good at talking and bluffing because that's why I think he's from among the people, gee, terrible girl" comments Jaya who makes Amus smile.

The bell rang shortly afterwards, forcing the group of children to disperse to their respective classes, in the middle of Ratna's lesson poking Ardi's back just to ask.

"Three A's, why?"

"It's okay, I just forgot to ask him"

"What do you want to ask?"

"It's none of your business, it's best to prepare your own tribute if I won't report it to auntie"

'It turns out that she is a horrible girl!' batin Ardi heard that answer.

When the bell rang quickly Ratna tidied her books, she was the first person to run out of class just to meet Jaya.

Luckily when he arrived at third grade A the class had just disbanded, next to the classroom door he noticed one by one the students who came out and as soon as he saw Jaya he immediately walked over.

"Hi!" sapana.

"Oh. gosh you startled me, you dollar girl" Jaya said, stroking her chest.

"What the fuck? why are you calling me that?"

"Because you're exactly the woman in the Hollywood movies, smart to talk, smart to bluff, smart to negotiate all just for dollars aka money"

"You're the one who started offering"

"That's it, what's up?" ask Jaya.

"You haven't said when you're gonna give it to me"

"What?" tanya Jaya doesn't understand.

"The price you said earlier, you haven't told me when you're going to give it to me"

"Oh my gosh.. You're a dollar girl! okay, I'll give it to you tomorrow"

"Promise?" ratna asked with a little finger.

Jaya stared at the finger for a moment before then looking into Ratna's sparkling eyes and her sweet smile.

"I-iya." replied Jaya who suddenly blushed in embarrassment while hooking her pinky in the pinky of Ratna.

It made Ratna quite happy so that she did not stop smiling and even waved at Jaya who left her, without knowing behind Amus was watching her.

Ratna's spoiled attitude and her sweet smile made her heart ache because it was all shown not to her, I don't know why Amus suddenly felt there was a crack in the friendship between himself and Jaya just because of that smile.

The crack he didn't show, the crack he was trying to fix himself because he knew it was the crack he made himself.

"Amus." cried Ratna, breaking her reverie.

Amus leisurely walked up to Ratna and asked.

"What?"

"This is your umbrella, thank you for lending it" Ratna said.

"What I think, you can return it later at home"

"I'm afraid to forget, after all, it's sunny so I don't need it"

"Looks like a dollar girl call is perfect for you, you just want to use it when you need it if it's not profitable to casually give it back"

"What do you mean talk like that?" ratna asked started to get emotional.

"I'm lazy to take it, if you want to thank me for bringing that umbrella for me" Amus said as he walked away from Ratna.

"Hey you.. You suck! " shouted Ratna who inevitably ended up walking while carrying the umbrella.

A small smile fell back on Amus' face because of the shout, his heart was warm again even though it was not the smile or spoiled behavior he saw. The cracks he felt suddenly disappeared just like that, this way everything will go as usual again.

When she reached the house, Ratna handed the umbrella to Amus.

"Thank you" Ratna said with a sullen face.

"Hmmm" replied Amus who then passed.

"Hey wait!" sergeant Ratna stopped his steps.

"What else?"

"You also owe me a tribute, remember that I didn't just Jaya one"

"What's? you trying to blackmail me? " ask Amus in shock.

"Ardi and Jimy will also pay, the agreement applies to all of you"

"You're really a terrible dollar girl" muttered Amus.
