Dollar Girl

Dollar Girl
Chapter 66 Former

The new school year has begun, bearing the status of kaka class makes Ratna quite proud especially now she is again chosen as treasurer in her new class. Likewise with Rere who returned to being a secretary, while for the head of his own class a boy named Seno.

Class 2 IPS-2 is a class with a total of 53 students, Ratna met again with some friends who used to be one class with her while in class 1.But most of them were students of other classes that Ratna had not known so much that she began to get acquainted again.

One week went by everything was just fine, nothing was strange, nothing special nor was there anything new. But after that one week came the new student who made him quite shocked, he was a boy he had known before.

"New boy Na, would you like to deketin?" tanya Rere looked at him.

"I'll never approach him except for the lesson" replied Ratna.

Some male students approached him and asked him to speak, he looked relaxed and quickly blending in without realizing Ratna was watching him.

"Children take out your textbooks" said one teacher as he entered the classroom.

Instantly all the disciples sat down neatly and took out their textbooks.

"This time the father will give the task of the group, the father who will make the group and you should not protest"

"Good sir!" the students answered compactly.

The teacher started writing each group on the board, seeing Rere and Ratna's name one group they were quite happy because it would be easier to do the task with people in the know.

"Of all, has anyone not been to a group?" ask the teacher.

A new student raises his hand, of course he has not been to the group because his name has not been listed in the absent book.

"What's your name?" ask the teacher.

"Jaya sir"

"Oh a minute, then.. um"

"Why should my group?" ask Ratna protesting.

That's when Jaya realized that Ratna's name on the blackboard was the one who had a special relationship with her, Jaya was quite surprised to know that because she never expected to meet him again even one class.

"Your group with the least number of people, do not protest! we start the lesson" said the teacher.

"You better be careful, my friend, I was in class with Ratna in first grade so I understand very well how her nature is" whispered a student behind the Jaya bench.

"Why don't you want a new group of kids?" ask Rere after the lesson.

"He's a shitty, delinquent and incompetent person" Ratna replied with a look of hate.

After school, Ratna's group held a sudden meeting just to determine the place and time of their work, for Ratna it must be decided immediately because she did not have much free time.

"Well, everything has been decided, Wednesday home from school at Rere's house. Anyway everyone has to be present if I don't leave the group" Ratna announced.

"Okay, can we go home then?" ask one of his friends.

Ratna nodded and they disbanded, and Ratna herself left because she was too late to come to the store. Along the road he went through turned out to be the same as Jaya, regardless of Jaya who was right behind him he continued to turn to take shortcuts.

Seeing Ratna lost at the turn he was quite shocked as well because he just remembered that it was not the direction to his home.

"Where is he going?" muttered Jaya while thinking.

The next day Jaya again found Ratna taking the same path and lost at the turn, this time she was curious enough that for the third time she deliberately followed Ratna.

"In-he... worked there?" jaya said in shock after seeing Ratna enter the tavern and change her clothes.

He seemed nimble to do all the work and seemed friendly when serving customers, it made him remember their first meeting. No wonder if now he can work while in school, since the beginning Jaya already knows the nature of Ratna who is hardworking and brave.

Arriving on Wednesday where they had made an appointment to do schoolwork, Ratna's group together went to Rere's house. Rere's parents were very good and freed them not to hesitate, they were served biscuits and orange juice to be more enthusiastic in doing the task.

"Well first we determine the village, as citizens you think we should go where?" ask Ratna.

"Dragon Village, the distance is not too far so we can reach on foot. I think it's a village that we can make material from our duties" Rere replied.

"You know the village chief?" ask Jaya.

"We can find out later" Rere replied.

After making a list of questions they began to leave, first to find out the house of the village head and then ask the questions they had prepared.

All of these questions revolve around the history of the village from the reason for the name to the unique things that only exist in the village, the village chief just took them around the village while explaining until the afternoon and their task was still not finished.

For this reason they will return tomorrow after school, Ratna and her friends say goodbye to Rere before returning home, not forgetting to also thank Rere's parents who have welcomed them as guests.

"Where are you going?" tanya Jaya saw Ratna who was walking alone.

"Certainly home"

"Street? isn't it night?"

"I can use a shortcut, as long as I take a day off I have no income at all therefore I have to save money" Ratna replied as she continued walking.

"Wait!" yell Jaya.

Ratna according to and unexpectedly Jaya walked towards him and gave him some money.

"It will take a long time to get to your house" he said.

"I don't want to owe you anything"

"Aish! I may be bad in your eyes but as a man I still can't let a girl go home alone when it's night" Jaya said in a high tone.

Maybe Jaya is a delinquent, but as a person who once had a relationship Ratna knows she has a good side as well.

The next day they returned to the village to continue the task of the group that had been delayed, this time the village head invited the children to join in community activities that are processing waste into valuable objects.

The boys are in charge of collecting garbage while the women clean it, most of the garbage is plastic and bottles.

In the village they learned to make shopping bags from plastic waste, there are also pots and flowers that are still based on plastic waste.

"Let me lift up" Jaya said seeing Ratna trying to lift a basket full of plastic waste that she had washed.

"No need, it's light" replied Ratna who kept lifting the basket.

Aaaaaa......

Brucks

The plastics scatter to the ground because Ratna's legs are slipped, but her body was captured by Jaya who was right next to her. Within seconds they looked at each other until one of their friends cheered.

"Ciee.

"Thank you" said Ratna who immediately rose.

They returned to their respective jobs despite still laughing at Jaya who became misbehaved, so nervous even Jaya to make the mistake of nudging used bottles that have been neatly arranged.

Hahaha

"What's wrong with you?" ratna asked while helping Jaya pick up the bottles.

"I-I'm fine" said Jaya, though she was clearly getting nervous.

"Ckck turns out you're funny when you're nervous" said Ratna, who couldn't stop laughing.

For a moment Jaya stared at the sweet face, still fresh in her memory how her heart could be adrift even though at that time they had not known for long. He shook his head in shame given the stupidity of writing love letters, if he thought again it was very embarrassing.

With full struggle finally their work was completed, not only was the task of their group also completed. In this way their group can leave the results to the teacher and be free, to celebrate the success before going home they took the time to capture the moment into a photo.

"Aaah, I can finally work again" Ratna said on the way home.

"It looks like you feel very bad if you don't go to work" Jaya commented.

"Of course, I lost my dollar" Ratna said.

Huft hahahaha

"Why?" tanya Ratna looked at Jaya who suddenly laughed.

"It looks like that dollar girl's title is already attached to you" he replied.

"It's none of your business" Ratna said with a frown.

They walked back down the sidewalk, sometimes while chatting sometimes while fighting. But in the end they laughed again and spoke again as usual until without feeling they were close to Ratna's house.

"We are separated here" said Jaya because the road to his house is different directions.

"Alright, be careful on the road"

"I should have said that, it's already night!" jaya said that only responded by a smile.

"See you tomorrow!" ratna said while raising one hand.

"Rabra!" call Jaya suddenly.

"Yes?" tanya Ratna stopped her steps.

Jaya walked over and stood right in front of Ratna.

"Today is so much fun, thanks for that. And.... I'm sorry for ever making you cry, at that time I was just an ego-loving and attention-hungry Junior High School kid so I hope you will forgive me" he said slowly.

"We've all made mistakes, no problem" Ratna replied.

They smiled at each other then parted ways to their homes.

* * *

"W-what's that?" ratna's mummy was in shock.

Brucks

"What are you doing? why stay in the middle of the road?" hardik Jaya accidentally hit Ratna.

Slowly Ratna's hand pointed forward, Jaya followed Ratna's index and was glued to what was written on the board. Someone, who knows who has written his name with Ratna is in the middle of both names there is a sign of love.

Some students in the class whispered to each other gossiping that the two of them who yesterday looked friendly, even rumors spread that they were dating secretly.

Ratna and Jaya stared at each other but then they laughed together which made one class even surprised, casually Ratna deleted the writing on the board while Jaya sat in her chair.

"Well, it seems you have dared to publicize your relationship" said someone.

"Whatever rumors you're gossiping about me and Jaya it won't affect us because we've actually broken up" Ratna replied.

"What?" they shouted in shock.

"When did you break up?"

"How long have you been dating?"

"Why did you break up?"

Questions thwarted Ratna and Jaya until the Class became rowdy, and Ratna made a gesture with her hand to shut up and answer all those questions.

"We were dating in 3rd grade Junior High, our relationship lasted only a few months and then broke up"

"really? then did Jaya move here because she wanted to get better with you?" ask Rere curiously.

"That's not true!" yell Jaya.

"I moved because I had a problem with my old school, I also just found out that Ratna is here because since dropping out we have no relationship anymore" he explained.

"Why did you break up?"

"Because he cheated with another woman" Ratna replied pointing.

He's.....

Shouted the children unexpectedly, feeling cornered Jaya spoke as a defense.

"You start by ignoring me, imagine which man is not hurt when his girlfriend is more concerned with his male friend?"

"Why are you bringing it up again? you yourself know before I dated you I was already friends with Amus and the others" Ratna replied in annoyance.

"But at least you can appreciate my feelings a little, you should prioritize me as a girlfriend"

"I've done my best, you asked me to come to your own birthday party and I did!"

"Yes! and if I don't order you definitely won't come alone, you'll definitely prefer Amus and the others. The proof is that you went to the playground with your friends, not with me when I was your girlfriend"

"You yourself went with another girl!"

"It's obvious it's because you went out with your friends"

"Ah, what kind of girlfriend do you want to understand but can't understand anyone else?"

"Don't make excuses anymore!"

The great quarrel between Ratna and Jaya is still going on with each other expressing their frustration as lovers, without them realizing it was revealed already the reason behind the breakup of their relationship and how their love story.

"I'm sure that's how they broke up" Rere murmured confidently as he looked at the couple.
