Chapter 36 The Hand

"Uncle, I want to talk" Ratna said as she arrived at the tavern.

"What's wrong?"

"Look, school holidays are only a day away tomorrow, after school I will be busy with studying for the national exam. I won't have time to work here so tomorrow's probably my last day at work"

"Mmm, uncle understands. Ardi has also said that tomorrow is the last day he works" Hamdani replied.

"But my uncle still likes to work here so if uncle allows, after the exam I want to work here again"

"Aren't you going to high school?"

"I will continue, the plan after school I want to work part-time here"

"Oh so apparently, of course Na. You can work here whenever you want" Hamdani said.

"Thank you uncle, then I'll continue my work first"

"Yes, please" replied Hamdani.

The sound of horns, the shouts of shop employees, the chatter of people and the roar of vehicles come together to form a rhythm that makes the eardrum of Amus almost rupture.

This whole life was the first time he had gone to a shopping mall, if not for the sake of taking his mother he would never have left. Just a few minutes walk his head is dizzy and his legs feel tired, but if playing futsal even though for hours he still can.

"Eh look! the clothes are fine" pointed at Yati.

"Mother is still here for a long time, you should wait in the cafe so as not to be bored" he said.

"It's okay mom, I can accompany mom" replied Amus who actually had wanted to find fresh air since.

"Not to ngeyel! I used to shop by myself."

Amus hesitated, he did not want to disappoint his mother but also was unable to walk.

"Mom sure?" tanyakanya.

"Sure!"

"All right, I'll wait in the cafe ma'am"

"Yes" Yati replied letting her son go while she re-selected clothes.

Amus breathed a long breath as if he had just found air, limply he walked through several shops until he accidentally saw an object that reminded him of Ratna.

When he said goodbye, Ratna told him to bring souvenirs after he returned, for a while Amus was only pensive until a shopkeeper approached him.

"So in a mas, look around first maybe there is something you like" said the shopkeeper.

"No, no need" he replied nervously.

"Just get in first is okay, want to find his girlfriend! what kind of girlfriend? let me help you find a suitable item."

Amus was stunned to hear the guard say, thinking that maybe the shopkeeper could indeed help him choose an item that Ratna would like. Finally he tried to enter, look around while explaining the character of Ratna until finally he managed to get a suitable item.

Elsewhere Yati also bought something as a gift that she would give to Ratna, she planned to have Amus give it to her so that the two children would come closer.

After hours of shopping, Yati finally gets everything she wants and meets Amus at the cafe, he only takes a short break and then goes home to have time to pack.

Tomorrow Grandma and Amus will go home, he who can not come can only take to the terminal and give a lot of souvenirs to take home.

It was a little hard for him to let go of Amus because they were close to each other, but the school holidays were over. Amus will return to his routine even with him, if he has time he promises to go home again to see grandma and Amus.

The next morning, Amus and his grandmother had gone to the terminal in between Wijaya, many messages that he conveyed to Amus and chatter how happy he was lately thanks to Amus.

A few hours later after they reached the neighborhood home where they looked lonely because everyone went to work, Amus decided to rest while waiting for Ratna's return.

"Aarhhhh, today is finally done" said Ratna, pulling her hand up.

The store today is more crowded than usual, probably because it is the last day of the holiday. Many people are using today to play until they are satisfied, so they also close more nights than usual.

"Ah...why time passes so quickly" he murmured.

"It feels lazy, no, imagine tomorrow we have to go in and learn again" Ardi said in response.

"Hurry and help me close the shop" Ardi ordered.

They returned to work to clean the shop and close it, before returning Hamdani gave them a week's wages and a profit-making bonus that he could have doubled.

After saying goodbye they went home together, while chatting about the work they had enjoyed. And of course what moments they have passed during the holidays, there are jokes of laughter also crying when brought officers to the office. Only the heart beat where the strange sensation they felt when fighting in a close enough distance that they did not speak to each other.

"See you tomorrow at school" Ratna said as they reached Ardi's residence.

"Yes, see you" Ardi replied.

Ratna continued on her way, until the door of the house suddenly Amus came out of her house which made Ratna turn her head.

"Eh you're home?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, I arrived this afternoon"

"So it seems, how was the holiday at aunt's house? what's fun?"

"Lumayan, wait a minute there!" said Amus who suddenly entered the house.

Shortly after he came out with a bag of groceries in hand, he walked up to Ratna and gave the bag to her.

"What's this?" ask Ratna.

"By mother for you"

"Ah aunty always gives me a gift, then..where are you?" he asked while looking at Amus expectantly.

"You must have forgotten... "

"It's inside too!" amus cut off Ratna's words.

"It's night, go to bed tomorrow we go to school" said Amus about to leave.

But suddenly his steps came to a halt as he sensed something had pulled his shirt, he slowly looked back. Seeing Ratna's hand pulling her clothes with a confused face mixed in shame while looking down.

"Thank you, what.. You don't want to go in first?" tanyanya slow.

Amus felt his ears hot hearing the typical cute voice of the girl who was embarrassed, in addition to the sweet face Ratna he tried to look at the sky while holding his breath so as not to be nervous.

"All right" he replied.

Ratna took off her hand and smiled happily, she immediately opened the door and let Amus in. Inside the house with curiosity Ratna unpacked the grocery bag to see what Amus had given her.

At first he finds a complete set of clothes that he can get from Yati, then he also finds a mysterious box in the bag.

Ratna picked it up and looked around because the box was plain black, suspicious that she was looking at Amus sharply and saying.

"If it's something scary, I'll take revenge on you"

"Am I that happy?" reply Amus.

Ratna looked back at the box and began to open it slowly with a pounding heart, as soon as he pulled out his eyes immediately stunned at what he saw.

A beautiful pink ballerina box music, with a touch of gold at the base of the stage makes the box music look luxurious.

"It's so beautiful, can I play?" ask Ratna enthusiastically.

"Of course" replied Amus flat when in his heart he was also happy.

Ratna put the music box on the table, while she sat down while leaning on the table. The music played soft and beautiful music along with the ballerina statue that was dancing as soon as Ratna turned on the object.

This was the first beautiful thing he ever had, when he was a child he remembered Sari had it. Beautiful music and good box music form makes girls, especially young children, love it, because it is able to make them dream of miracles that are difficult to achieve in the real world.

Ratna herself felt like a princess of a kingdom when she looked at it while listening to her music, she enjoyed it so much that she accidentally fell asleep there.

Amus who saw it could not wake him up, so Ratna carried him to be moved into the room.

Slowly he corrected Ratna's sleeping position and covered her body with a blanket, but suddenly Ratna's eyes opened just as she was very close to Ratna's face.

"Amus, thank you, I love it" Ratna said quietly almost like a whisper.

Ratna's eyes closed again with a smile that adorned her sweet face, Amus was very grateful Ratna liked the gifts she gave.

At first he was afraid Ratna would not like to remember the nature of the calculation of money, he thought Ratna would only be happy if bought food or luxury goods. But the shopkeeper convinced him that box music was the right choice because given Ratna's young age and innocent character.

The sun shone on Ratna's room and made her wake up from the glare of light, for a few seconds she just sat on the bed trying to collect her life that was last night flying.

Once his eyes were clear enough to see the first thing he saw was a music box on his study table. He vaguely remembered the incident last night, if not wrong he was listening to the music box and then fell asleep.

But in his sleep he felt someone was holding him carefully, then smiling while stroking his hair.

"Ah ballerina, why did you give me such a beautiful dream that I didn't want to wake up to face reality" she said staring at the music box.

"Yes, last night I must have fallen asleep and did not have time to say thank you to Amus. I need to get ready for school!" he started to get out of bed.
