Dollar Girl

Dollar Girl
Chapter 47 Ceremony

"Have you prepared your poem?" ask Rere.

"Of course" Ratna replied casually.

"Ah good, soon the race will be started you better prepare" said Rere.

Ratna nodded confidently, after thinking hard to find inspiration finally he got a poem that he thought was good.

Not long after it was time for the poetry race, Ratna sat in the chair that had been provided while Rere sat in the ranks of the audience. One by one the participants were called to recite a poem of their own choice, the jury who was none other than the teachers sitting at the front to give an assessment.

At first Ratna was still relaxed, but when her name was called her heart started to beat fast. Especially when all the eyes of the audience and the jury were on him, fortunately he had a glance at Rere who gave him full support.

Ratna smiled, finding her courage to make a sound. With a deep breath, he began to read.

"Fight"

There are no words that cerulite can say

When the baton sounds indicates the presence of a burrow

Both of his rough hands clasped tightly onto the pointed bamboo

One scream then disappeared

Just yesterday their hands were busy in the rice fields

Planting cassava, rice and palm

Suddenly the hand was cut off from his body

Cause it turns out what they planted

Is it really the wrong plant?

Or soil fertility?

He said he wanted to trade but it was in fact stretching

Regret them friendly smile welcomes the master

Turns out the master had an illegible intent

Years that don't count

Events happen one after another

Starting with the mouth-piercing rifle

Until the head ruptures, death

Lookie! Their general's gone somewhere

The young men asked for help

Women and children crying in the corner

The next day the same thing happened again

No sir, though it's not the long barrel they hold

Enough bamboo

Tap the tip!

To be as sharp as belief

Nothing can be defeated

Because you are disturbing the peace

August 1945

Signs of long barrel turning direction

They are only farmers and traders

But the struggle is not about who

Although the cask of the maling remains the maling

No matter what smart sir

The Earth they will not surrender

Lookie! Red and white fluttered in the air

Sweat, blood and life

If you dare to lower

Prepare mentally! the fight was back.

Prok Prok Prok Prok Prok Prok

Ratna lowered her hands, staring at everyone clapping before her. His heart is satisfied to have performed to the maximum and received a good reception.

After the race was over they could go anywhere as long as they remained in the school environment, Rere invited Ratna to see other matches being played in other rooms. But because there is nothing interesting, they finally chose to watch futsal matches on the field.

As soon as they were up to boisterous applause and loud screams rang out, their attention was fixed on one compact name in the shout.

"DAD"

Yei........

The girls screamed even louder when someone managed to score, they shouted the same name and the guy waved with a smile. Make the spectator bench even more noisy.

"Hey do you know that guy?" tanya Ratna refers to the person who is thought to be named Ian.

"No, but she's pretty popular with girls. If it's not wrong he's class 2 IPS 1, just looking at it I'm sure you understand why his name is mentioned" replied Rere.

Of course Ratna understood, the young man had a proportionately tall body as well as a handsome face. Only then did he understand why the girls were yelling at him.

"It's too noisy here, what if we go to the cafeteria" Ratna asked.

"All right, it's up to you."

There were no activities they could do, in the end they just chatted until the time to go home.

* * *

"Oh aunt, how are you?" ratna shouted to see Yati walking out of the house.

"Ratna, you just got home from school?" ask Yati in shock.

"Since then, I've just come home from work"

"Owh so apparently"

"When's aunt coming home?"

"So noon, tomorrow there's a flag ceremony in the square. Aunt accidentally came home to see Amus tomorrow"

"So apparently, did uncle also come home?"

"No, just an aunt. Do you want to come with aunt to see Amus tomorrow?" tawar Yati's.

"Oh, that's also tomorrow I'm taking part in the ceremony just to be a regular participant. All the students in my school must come because after the ceremony we will continue the race"

"So apparently, uh it's night go rest" said Yati.

"Well, good evening aunt" replied Ratna politely.

The next day Ratna who had promised to go with Rere to the square waiting at the appointment, from six o'clock she was there so as not to be late.

Every second one by one students from other schools come and gather in the square, waiting for the ceremony to be carried out in a moment.

"Ratna." call Rere from a distance while waving.

"You've been waiting a long time?" tanyakanya.

"Lumayan, let's go! all the students in our school seem to have gathered"

"All right"

"Ratna." call someone suddenly.

He looked up and was quite surprised to see Jimy walking up to him.

"Master! you're also at the ceremony here?" ask Ratna.

"Of course, I'd also like to see Amus so I've set up a camera to record it"

"Well..have you prepared everything apparently, uh if you're here is Ardi also a ceremony here?"

"It looks like it, but I haven't seen it"

"That's it"

"All right, I gotta go. Come to Amus' house tonight, we'll make a celebration for him" Jimy said before leaving.

"Well done work I'll stop by" replied Ratna.

Jimy waved his hand before he finally left.

"Who is he? and who are you talking about?" ask Rere curiously.

"Ah sorry I forgot to introduce you, she's my childhood friend's master. And what we're talking about is another friend of ours, a person whose name is Amus if you remember he was the one who drove me to school. He was in the pascibra so we came to see the results of his training on purpose"

"Oh so" said Rere understood.

"The ceremony is about to begin, let's go!" bring Ratna.

Rere nodded, they rushed into the square area and joined the other children from their school. Ratna chose to stand at the front to see Amus clearly, before long the ceremony began.

He impatiently followed the flag ceremony until the time came for the members of the paskibra to start the movement to raise the red and white saka.

Their shoes jolted the ground with an orderly rhythm, in tandem with the arms swinging in tune with the steps. The gallant impression appeared the first time even when they were just standing up, making all eyes amazed to see it.

Between the rows Ratna could see someone she knew, standing between the rows in the same uniform. A proud smile fell on his face, until the ceremony was over all he noticed was Amus.
