Chapter 44 Farewell

A week passed quickly, but for Ratna who was looking forward to worrying about a week it was like a year. He was very much looking forward to the results of his second exam, even he was not good at eating because he kept thinking about it.

The sound of the phone ringing while the father and son were having lunch, Sapardi immediately picked it up and picked up the phone.

Although confused Ratna still received it and was quite surprised to know it was a call from her homeroom class.

In a hurry he put on his shoes and ran out of the house, Amus who saw it was curious and asked.

"My test results are out! I will go to retrieve it" cried Ratna without stopping her steps.

Amus, hearing this, immediately came to his dismay, and immediately he called Ardi and Jimy to come to his house and wait for the results of Ratna's test.

While Ratna herself who soon arrived at the school immediately met her homeroom teacher.

Ratna immediately entered and sat down waiting for all the students who took the second exam to attend all, the headmaster began his speech when all the students were already present.

Not much he talked about, just congratulations and a few points about their grades that are not much different from those who have graduated first. They can register anywhere without fear even though they had not graduated, after that the headman also distributed graduation letters according to the name listed there.

Ratna received her letter with trembling hands, afraid enough to open it. In the paper that he first read is the name RATNA MANGALIH then down listed a PASS with capital letters.

He rubbed his eyes and read once more, this time his eyes were not wrong. He had truly graduated, a feeling of happiness mixed with should fill the space in his chest.

"Congratulations Ratna, you've succeeded!" said his homeroom class approaching.

"Thank you mom"

"You've fought hard, after this you can continue to go to the high school you want. Quickly register before registration closes"

"In a few weeks there will be a farewell at school, come use the kebaya and take your diploma"

"You can go home now" said his homeroom homeroom teacher, patting him gently on the shoulder.

Ratna immediately rushed away, in front of the door of Amus' house she changed her expression to flat before finally going inside.

"Ratna! how's it?" ask Jimy quickly as Ratna comes in.

Their faces looked curious looking at Ratna's flat expression, but suddenly Ratna shouted while pointing at her letter.

"I graduated!"

"Ah... My heart almost got dislodged!" hardik Amus's.

"Thank God." said Ardi.

"Happy sister.your hard work finally paid off as well" Jimy said, embracing Ratna.

"Ah...my heart is truly relieved" Ratna admitted.

"How about we buy a burger to celebrate" Ardi said.

"May be too" replied Ratna.

"Well let's go. " cried Jimy leading the way.

Because Ratna has graduated, now Sapardi began his preparations to send Ratna to high school, because they do not have enough fees, Sapardi chose a school with SPP fees that are quite affordable. He and Ratna consulted to choose which school is not too far away but the cost is also quite cheap.

When the decision has been taken they immediately go to register, they are told to wait a few weeks before the decision to admit students of the new school year.

Having a long time Ratna took the time to prepare for all her school needs such as making uniforms and buying some new school supplies.

"Did you decide which school to attend?" ratna asked as she gathered with her friends at Amus' house.

"I'm going to SMK" replied Amus.

"I will also enter the same SMK as Amus, but we are different majors" said Jimy.

"Why?" ask Ratna curiously.

"I'm a potential heir to a family restaurant so I majored in business while Amus majored in TKJ"

"Why did you choose TKJ?" ask Ratna curiously.

"Like me, what's it got to do with you?" amus asked back.

Ratna snorted violently without being ignored by Amus.

"Then what about you?" ratna asked Ardi.

"I went to high school"

"We are happy" replied Ratna.

"Which SMA did you choose?"

"SMA 4"

"We are different schools" said Ardi.

"That means we are separated" Ratna said slowly.

They are pensive, the SMA period like gold unfortunately they will live each. Even Amus and Jimy are one school still different majors that make it possible to rarely meet. Ratna had already realized this first, long ago when they were the first semester exam. In the end they will separate for the sake of living each other's lives, even so there is still a sense of sadness in his heart.

"Why glum? we can still get together after school or on holiday, we just go to school in a different place" said Amus.

Yati came home just as tomorrow was a farewell ceremony at Amus school, he brought a suit stelan for his son that he had prepared in advance. She also gave makeup to Ratna so that on that special day Ratna appeared more beautiful than usual.

"Why? you don't like it?" asked Yati when she saw the look on Ratna's gloomy face.

"No bi, I like, I really like this gift just that." said Ratna who was confused how to say it.

"Say! just what?"

"I can't wear makeup" she admitted with a shy face.

"Ah what auntie thinks, you take it easy tomorrow aunt will help you dress up"

"really?" ask Ratna cheerfully.

"Of course" Yati replied.

The four friends agreed to go together to school, while the parents would come separately because their seats were also separate.

Once in the morning Jimy and Ardi were standing in front of Amus' house with a neat look, they looked more handsome than usual with their suits.

"Where's Ratna?" ask Ardi.

"Either! I haven't seen him" replied Amus who was busy fixing his tie.

Ratna already wears the kebaya that Yati gave her, the pink kebaya looks beautiful on Ratna's body. Now he only has to be patient until Yati finishes dressing him up.

"Auntie..please don't be too thick" said Ratna who was afraid it would look bad.

"Of course not, the makeup will be thin so that the impression of her teens does not disappear" Yati replied.

"Yep! it's done" said Yati raising her hand from Ratna's face.

Nervously Ratna turned to look in the mirror, when she saw the reflection of her face in the mirror she was quite surprised because her face looked so beautiful.

"Now we only need to tidy up your hair, because you are a girl who enters the teenage phase then we will braid your hair to look simple but not messy too" said Yati while combing Ratna's hair.

"It's over, how? you satisfied?" ask Yati after she's done.

"This is very good, better than my shadow" replied Ratna.

"Well it's time to get out, the other kasian has been waiting for you.

"Good" replied Ratna.

Slowly he went out of the room, met with Sapardi who seemed amazed at the beauty of Ratna. Beauty who reminded him of his late wife, after permission to go first Ratna also opened the door and went out to meet his three friends.

Amus blinked as Ratna's hand touched his chest, within such a close distance he could see Ratna's beauty clearly which made his heart unsafe.

"Well, you look so different, I almost forgot there was a dollar girl in that body" Jimy said.

"Please watch what you say! on this special day it will be in vain kebaya that I use if angry" Ratna said firmly.

"Hahahaha I understand!" replied Jimy who could not hold amused.

"But you look different too, you look cool than usual" Ratna said.

"We are too late, let's go" said Ardi withstood his pain that had been ignored.

They left, at the school Mita who had been waiting for Ratna immediately approached them. He praised Ratna's beautiful appearance as well as Ratna who admitted that Mita appeared very graceful.

They enter the room while talking about the school and their future, apparently Mita enrolled in the same school as Ardi. This meant that Ratna would really be in a new place without a single person she knew.

The event began according to the schedule, the excitement of the event was so felt when the second and first graders presented their performances. There is a choir, drama to sing with third graders who have now officially graduated.

"Na I go to the toilet first yes" said Mita who was sitting next to him.

"Well, hurry back!" answer Ratna.

Mita immediately rushed out, after finishing from the toilet she was quite surprised to see the new Angga going into the room.

"What is my brother doing here?" tanyakanya.

"I'm replacing my people who can't come"

"Thank you" replied Mita who blushed in embarrassment.

They end up spending time chatting outside, Ratna who is confused over losing Mita trying to look for her everywhere.

Lucky for Mita, who remembers leaving Ratna quickly before anyone sees them together, she meets Ratna right in the school hallway on her way back.

"Where have you been?" ask Ratna.

"Sorry, I was preoccupied with chatting with other friends" Mita replied reasoned.

"Here you go, let's go! soon our diplomas will be distributed" asked Ratna.

They returned to the room and remained there until the event was over, some had gone home after receiving diplomas there were also still there to chat.

"When you go to my house, you also have to tell me often" Ratna said.

"Alright, even if we're separated because of different schools I hope we can still spend time together"

"Me too!" said Ratna who is unable to stem the sadness.

"Hey, don't cry! this is not an eternal farewell, we can still meet again" Mita said, wiping away her tears.

"I know, but it still feels sad."

With a smile Mita hugged her best friend, a hug that marked the end of their meeting.
