Chapter 29 Vacation Plan

"This is your last day of the exam, but even so for a week you should still go in to see if you have a ramedial or not" the general supervisor.

"Good ma'am!" answer the students simultaneously.

Ratna picked up the problem sheet and the answer, staring at the name column for quite a while. All students are looking forward to this holiday, after passing the exam there are many vacation spots that are references. "I intend to work in a place" replied Ardi.

"My father's friend had a fruit shop, right next to him he also opened a shop that sold juice and various foods made from fruits. He needs people to help him keep the shop, I volunteered to work during the holidays and he agreed"

"How much is his salary?"

"Not much, just twenty thousand a day"

"Twenty thousand a day if at times one week can reach as low as forty thousand, it is quite profitable as well. Can I come to work too?" ask Ratna enthusiastically.

"Ratna is smart when it comes to counting money, I'm sure uncle will be helped by it" said Ardi.

"N-not really, Ardi is just exaggerating but I promise if uncle lets me work here I will definitely work hard" Ratna replied nervously.

"Alright I trust you, uncle will explain how the work is here and if you want you can start working now"

Hamdani began to explain about their work, because their beginners are newly given the task of cleaning the place and sorting out good fruits for display and who have been cooked to make juice or other foods.

The first day was quite pleasant, Hamdani told them to go home in the afternoon even though the shop was actually closed at night. This is because he does not want them to get tired quickly when starting work, slowly he will teach everything and let them go home at night.

Ratna received it well, along the way home she kept walking cheerfully. Making Ardi's eyes not want to stop staring at his smile.

"Let's go home" Ardi asked.

Ratna nodded, they walked back home but this time there was a clear silence between them. Until arriving in front of Ardi's house, Ratna said goodbye like a girl who was different from the usual Ratna.

At her house Ratna went straight into the room, lying on the bed and feeling the strange sensation again as her mind recalled the gentle touch on her lips.

It was quite disturbing because the image of the brother in Ardi lost instantly, replaced by a handsome teenage boy.

"Arh.. What am I thinking? why am I like this?" he was upset with himself.

"Huft... calm down Ratna, it's nothing.you can't be stupid" he murmured.

The day quickly changed, now Ratna went to work with a figure as usual. Seeing Ratna's performance was good enough to make Hamdani give more challenging tasks for him, all of which apparently makes Ratna more comfortable while working.

Three days he had worked, now Hamdani gave normal working hours. Ratna agreed because Mita told her that her value was safe so she did not have to worry, she only had to come on the day of rapot division.

That day, the first time he came home the night they accidentally met Amus in front of an alley.

"You just got home?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, from now on we will go home at night according to the closing hours of the store" replied Ardi.

"Where are you going?" ask Ratna.

Amus only smiled as he nodded his head, staring at the departure of Ratna and Ardi.

Four days later they go to school with their parents to take a rap, Ratna is quite happy when Sapardi who is in charge of taking the rap tells that his grades are quite good.

"Alright" replied Ratna who immediately slid.

"Grandma... I brought my grandmother's order corn!" ratna shouted as she opened the door of Amus' house.

"Ish.this is a house not a forest!" nagging Amus as he walked up to her.

"Where's grandma?"

"Ke stall" replied Amus taking the corn from Ratna's hand.

"Oh... uh how's your rapot worth?" ask Ratna.

"Nothing has changed" Amus said coldly.

"Can you talk better? I am a gentle woman to me" said Ratna Ketus.

"A woman doesn't scream at someone else's house" Amus replied.

Ratna grew even more sullen at the words.

"Do you have any vacation plans?" ratna asked in a quieter voice.

"Nothing"

"Then what are your activities during the holidays?"

"Nothing"

"Aren't you doing anything?"

"Why are you so chatty!? I told you there wasn't!" snapped Amus annoyed.

"Well, you don't have to be angry once I just ask" Ratna said in shock because despite being often angered by the snaps Amus was quite tight with a really angry tone.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scold you" Amus said regretfully.

For a few minutes they remained silent until Amus spoke.

"I can't leave grandma to work like you, I don't have any vacation plans either. Maybe this holiday I'll just laze around."

Amus' words make him regret to have asked, he knows even though the grandmother looks fit but with an old age something can happen unexpectedly. That's why Amus never goes far unless his parents are at home.

"Amus..tomorrow is our first day off, what if tonight we gather to spend time together before we are busy with our respective activities"
