Dollar Girl

Dollar Girl
Chapter 52 Theatrical

"Aaaahhhh.

On weekends the store is indeed more crowded than usual, he was again overwhelmed by serving orders that come without stopping. But of course he was also happy to do it because it was a farm for him, especially Hamdani was always kind enough to give a bonus if the store was crowded.

"Everything is done, you can go home" Hamdani said.

"Well, thank you uncle" replied Ratna who immediately said goodbye.

The Sunday night was long, and the time just showed at eight o'clock in the evening when he left the tavern. Along the way there are still many people passing by, shops are still open including the Accessories store where he bought a hat.

After the incident Anggi had made another calculation with him at school, but Ratna again subdued him until he lost the guts even to reprimand.

Since then Anggi clearly showed his dislike, he did not bother with it. As long as Anggi does not make trouble again then he will assume the person never existed, just sneering or glancing sharply is not something that threatens him.

"Darling! I'm sorry I'm late" said someone who suddenly grabbed her hand.

Ratna was quite shocked and was about to retreat but a whisper left her speechless.

"Please shut up, I won't do anything profane."

Ratna looked at the person's face, from her expression it was clear she was having a theatrical performance because there was a fake smile on her face. He began to speak again apologizing and explaining something Ratna did not understand, but Ratna just kept quiet without responding as she ordered.

'It feels like. I've seen this guy' Inner Ratna tries to remember.

"Dian!" call a girl to them.

'Ah, right! Ian's! this person was the upperclassman who at that time won the indoor futsal race Ratna remembered.

"So he's your new boyfriend" said the girl.

Ratna was quite surprised to hear it, of course because this was the first time he met face to face with Ian but was suddenly called as his girlfriend.

"Ah.. right" replied He forced a smile.

"so yeah.. Hi my name is Sela"

"Oh yes, Ratna" he replied as he welcomed the hand.

"Sorry Cell but we have a need, see you later!" ian suddenly pulled Ratna's hand.

Still in a state of confusion Ratna just according to where Ian took him away, until they were already in a quieter place and Ian released his hand.

"What the fuck was that?" ask Ratna.

"I'm sorry, I'll explain everything" Ian replied quickly.

As Ian's apology for buying food at the cafe, he explains why he suddenly behaved that way.

"So it's my ex" Ian began to tell me.

"We broke up a few weeks ago, after which I found out he had a new girlfriend. I didn't take it when I said I couldn't move on from her, so I pretended to have a boyfriend"

"Then what does this have to do with me?" asked Ratna who found no answer to Ian's actions earlier.

"We accidentally met earlier, I reasoned I was picking up my girlfriend but she insisted on wanting to meet my boyfriend so I had no choice but to do so. I'm sorry, I was really in that crucial moment.. "

"Shameful! what's that ridiculous reason?" ratna looked strangely.

"Once you go, I'm going home. I'll assume it never happened, thanks for the deal"

"Oh let me drive you home" Ian offered.

"No need, the house is near"

"Alright then. " replied Ian slowly.

Ratna could not understand how Ian could act like that, why he was not honest that he did not have a girlfriend. There was no point in lying let alone involving new people he knew, it was quite a troublesome thing for him.

The next day at school by chance they meet again in the cafeteria, this is not the first time Ratna saw Ian even she already knew a little about Ian from Rere. But Ian who is not too sensitive to the circumstances around is certainly surprised by the fact that they are one school.

"Truly I didn't expect that we would meet here" Ian said honestly.

Ratna only smiled faintly, not responding too much to it because she already knew it.

"For the last night I'm so grateful, I actually feel guilty for not taking you home. It was late but I let a girl go home alone"

"No need to overdo it, I'm used to going home alone"

"But still. ah what if I buy food" Ian bargained.

Actually Ratna does not like Ian especially because of last night's problems, he does not like men who lie. But the matter of food was a different matter, with Ratna gladly accepting it.

"You really have nothing to do with him?" ask Rere who is curious about the closeness.

"How many times have I told you that we we just know" replied Ratna who was getting tired of answering.

"It's impossible to just know but always talk together, he also often meets you"

"What we're talking about is just ordinary things, why don't you believe it?"

"Your words don't match reality"

"Then you want me to answer what?"

"I want you to answer honestly" Rere said adamantly.

"I've been telling the truth" Ratna muttered annoyedly.

He no longer knew what to say, Rere still could not believe even though he had told the truth. If you think again it's natural Rere is so curious, because Ian always tries to approach it with various reasons. The action also made Ratna a little suspicious, behind the kindness of Ian Ratna felt that something was hidden.

"Rabra!" call Ian when he's coming home.

Ratna stopped walking to wait for Ian to run up to her.

"You want to go to work?" tanyakanya.

"Yes, why?"

"Then let's go with me, I'm going to my friend's house, we happen to be one-way"

"Owh well"

"I'll get my car first, you wait here for a while is okay, right?" ask Ian.

Ratna nodded in response, after a few minutes Ian came by his car. Ratna immediately boarded and the car drove, during Ratna's journey it was realized that Ian was included in the group of children of the rich. No wonder he also has a beautiful face, supported by his social status, it is appropriate he has a fan even though he is not a star.

"Thank you for the ride" Ratna said as they arrived.

"No problem"

"All right, see you later"

"Eh Na! wait!" call Ian.

"Um.. actually, there's something I want to tell you" Ian said hesitantly.

Ratna sat back with her face to Ian, waiting for him to continue.

"Ratna, will you pretend to be my girlfriend?" I asked Ian quickly.

He knew the request would definitely be denied by Ratna, but in such a precarious situation it would not hurt to try. He lies to Sela and cannot tell her the truth.

"I'm sorry, I know you don't like it. I promise we'll just pretend in front of Sela, I won't do anything either. Please help me, Sela asked me to doubleate and I couldn't refuse it" she continued.

"I don't like to do such skits" said coldly.

"Tomorrow night only! after the date, I'll say we broke up so you don't have to pretend anymore" Ian said.

Ratna seemed to think hard, honestly she also could not bear to see Ian slumped like that. He had been so kind to her, of course Ratna's heart was a little broken.

"This time alone, please, I will do whatever your orders as long as you want to go on a date tomorrow night" Ian continued.

"Five hundred thousand"

"What?" ask Ian.

"If you want to pay as much as five hundred thousand then I want to do the charade" Ratna said.

Ian seemed to think, Ratna knew such a request would never be fulfilled by anyone. It was ridiculous indeed to spend some money just for the sake of such a small charade.

"It's been... "

"Good!" said Ian.

"I'll pay after the date is over" he said.

"You're-you're serious?" ratna asked stunned because the money he asked for was quite large.

"Of course, then we agree"

"Be good."
