Chapter 39 Vacation

Finally, the national exam is only two months away. The school held a special holiday event for third-graders before they were busy with tutoring and others, each student was given a statement letter in which also contains information on costs to be paid.

At first Ratna intended to give the letter to Sapardi, but when he came home Sapardi was cleaning a white and gray cloth.

"Dad what are you doing?" tanyakanya.

Ratna was quite hit by the answer, even Sapardi had prepared everything early so that he could continue school. He could only smile and nod in response, and undo his intention to hand over the letter.

The cost of a vacation is quite expensive in terms of the economy of his family, if you think again it would be better he does not need to join. Just throwing money for the sake of pleasure is not much, it would be wise if used to add savings to the cost of entering SMA.

Teacher gave a deadline of a week until the day of departure, but Ratna who had not paid a penny finally called to the teacher's room.

"Why? the national exam is soon, this is a suitable moment to get closer to each other. You can take photos as a memento, this vacation also aims to make you relax before getting tired of preparing for the exam"

"I think I've been close enough to my friends, making memories of not having to go to tourist attractions. After all my body is easily tired if traveling far, I am afraid that later even sick and troublesome others"

"I can't" Ratna replied seriously.

When he returned to the first grade of the storm class asked why he was called, because Ratna was not a problem student and this was the first time he was called.

Ratna regretted her attitude but still did not change it, she continued her usual study routine until the day she was supposed to go on vacation with her friends.

The knock on the door that morning was enough to make Ratna wonder, still with messy hair she opened the door and saw Jimy standing there.

"What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Hurry to get ready, did you forget we were on vacation today?" abugn.

"Oh.I'm not on vacation"

"What do you mean you're not coming?"

"I told you I don't have the money to go on vacation"

"We're not going to attend school, it's our gang's special holiday so you don't have to worry about having your wallet empty"

"What do you mean?" ratna asked confusedly.

"We're going to Bekasi, a holiday at Amus's parents' house" Jimy replied with a smile.

Ratna was still confused by Jimy's statement, but at the insistence of continuing he finally prepared as well. With a bag containing his needs Ratna went with Jimy to meet Ardi and Amus who apparently had been waiting for them since.

"Why were you guys so long?" ask Amus.

"When we got there, my parents went to work. But he left the key for us so there's no need to worry"

"Then let's go. " cried Ardi enthusiastically.

The four friends left by bus, Ratna sat with Jimy while Ardi with Amus. Along the way Amus recounts that they canceled their departure from the school tour because they could not leave Ratna alone. Amus was the one who gave the idea to change their vacation to a visit to the parents' house, although he said the visit but they also intend to go to places of interest for two days.

Because they do not know the area, then Yati who will tell him, Amus also said that Yati was very happy when he was told that he and his friends will visit.

Jimy's story has made Ratna aware that their friendship is more than just ordinary friends, complementing each other and helping each other make her grateful to have been met with people who are sincere to her.

"I'm sorry Master, I just don't want to trouble you guys constantly. I feel it's time I stood on my own feet, which is why I'm doing this"

"You're not wrong, just don't suddenly isolate yourself from us. If you act like this again I'll never forgive you" Jimy said earnestly.

They were until a few hours later, Ratna was amazed at how big the house of Amus' parents was. There is even a fish pond in front of the house that looks beautiful with various plants in the system around it.

Amus took the key from the shoe rack outside, as soon as he opened the door Ratna was more amazed to see the luxury of the house. He realized how rich Amus' parents could have a house as big and as good as it was.

"You rest first, let me get you some water" said Amus.

They sat on a soft sofa to relieve fatigue, before long Amus came up with a refreshing cold drink.

"All of a sudden I shudder at the thought of your parents living in a house this big alone" Jimy said, staring around the room.

Although Jimy's house is also nice and big but still less big and luxurious than Yati's house, Jimy who is used to living alone at home can still hold it because their parents come home at night.

"Usually once a week there will be a housekeeper who cleans this house, so if the mother's home care problems never get dizzy" said Amus.

"Let's go! I'll show you your room" he continued.

"There are only four rooms here, one that belongs to my parents and one that belongs to me. There are two rooms left for Ratna and there is no other option Ardi and the master must be one room" he explained while showing one by one room.

"I don't care" said Ardi.

"Me too" Jimy replied.

Ratna was given a room right in the middle, a room adjacent to Amus's room. The actual room is functional for guests, with a spacious room and a window facing the garden making the room look luxurious.

"There's a bathroom in it, so you don't have to worry" Amus said.

"Thank you" said Ratna.

They decided to rest first before doing other activities, although Ratna could not sleep but she was very comfortable sleeping in the room while listening to the music box given by Amus that she brought.

The knock on the door of her room was enough to shock her, immediately Ratna put the music box in the drawer and went to open the door.

"Come out, I'm making noodles for our lunch" Amus said.

"Oh well" replied Ratna following Amus' steps into the dining room.

It seems that Ardi and Jimy have taken their part and ate it with great pleasure.

"cheat! why aren't you waiting for me?" Ratna.

"We didn't have breakfast so our stomachs were starving from earlier" Jimy replied.

"At least wait a minute"

"Here you go. eat quickly before the noodles expand" said Ardi while giving a fork.

They continue to eat lunch and finish all the food at the table, still confused about what to do eventually they just relax until Yati and Wijaya go home.

"Sorry aunt should welcome your arrival" Yati said as soon as she arrived.

"It's okay aunt, it should be us who apologized for being troublesome" replied Jimy.

"Eh you guys are not a brand at all, just aunty happy you guys want to play here. This is! aunty bring doughnuts, let's eat together"

"Well, it looks good" cried Ratna who got a cheering reaction from the others.

Although the night was getting late but the Yati residence was getting boisterous, they did not stop chatting with food and drinks until drowsiness attacked.
