Chapter 43 The Second Examination

Jimy walks with Ratna's favorite snack, he didn't attend the graduation party yesterday so he'll give her some food instead. But the trip stopped Amus who accidentally saw him walking to Ratna's house, Amus also told Jimy to come in and ask Ardi also to come to his house.

"Huh? you serious?" jimy and Ardi shouted as they had heard the news of Ratna not graduating.

"Our homeroom teacher told me, this school year there are a total of ten students who did not pass and had to take the retest"

"Ah Kasian Ratna, he must be very depressed and sad" said Ardi.

"For this reason you should not disturb him for some time, you should pretend not to know and behave as usual so that he does not continue to be sad" said Amus.

"You're right but hearing this I wanted to encourage him" Jimy said.

"No way, it will add to his heartache" Amus replied insisting.

"All right I understand, I hope he's okay" said Jimy, who was sad.

Ratna had just found out that she was not alone, in the room there were still other disciples who did not pass as well. It gave him a little sense of encouragement, his homeroom teacher came and gave him a question and answer sheet.

"You did not pass the Indonesian language lesson, for that you will repeat the exam in this lesson. This is about what came out on the exam yesterday, I want you to fill it up and if you tell me"

"Well ma'am" replied Ratna who immediately took a sheet about it.

Although he has not studied again but with calm conditions he is sure to be able to do the problem easily, in addition this is a matter that came out in the exam yesterday. Within a few minutes Ratna had finished working on it, on orders she gave the question sheet and answers back to her homeroom teacher.

In front of Ratna the teacher checked his work, it only took a few minutes and he had obtained the results.

"Did you fill in according to the exam that time?" asked teacher.

"More or less yes" replied Ratna suddenly feeling anxious.

"With the answer you give this you should have passed, meaning the problem is in your neatness. Look at! in some columns there are outlines" explained the teacher while showing the answer sheet.

"Well then we practice filling out the answer sheet quickly but neatly, next week you'll take the second exam and you'll have to pass this time"

"Good ma'am!" ratna replied excitedly.

He is not smart but quite potential, if in serious circumstances he will indeed try his hardest. This was proven by his teacher who told him that he should have passed, if he thought again Indonesian lessons were a test on the first day where he was quite nervous about dealing with it. Maybe because he could not calm down finally his work is not neat.

Training given by his homeroom teacher only about three hours and he was allowed to go home to study alone at home, his homeroom teacher also gave several answer sheets for him to practice at home.

"Ah... Where is my eraser?" he murmured while he was training at home.

His hands fumbled around the table even looking under the table as well but he couldn't find it. Tired of looking Ratna decided to lend it to Amus.

"Amus." he shouted from the outside, opening the door.

Jimy, Ardi and Amus look at Ratna who caught them eating.

"Ah... cheat! why didn't you tell me there was this much food?" he screamed while entering.

"I thought you were busy" replied Jimy.

"Busy whatever I at least tell me first, you guys are totally outrageous!" hardik her while taking a snack.

"Sorry." said Jimy regretfully.

Angrily Ratna ate one by one the food that was there while the others silently looked at her.

"Who said? I still want to, don't spend it!" jimy answered, Take the food back.

"No need! you've been eating!"

"I just ate a little! don't be greedy!"

"What is a little bit? I was just left with a crumb"

"Dollar." cried Jimy annoyed.

Ratna kept her stance on not giving Jimy away, while Jimy kept trying to get his food. Inevitable quarrels, shouting at each other and scrambling to make the room fall apart. Amus and Ardi could only laugh as spectators because there was no point in breaking up, besides they were happy to see the cheerful Ratna.

After getting tired of fighting they ate until the stomach felt full, the atmosphere was quiet enough without any chat until Ratna just remembered that her arrival there was to borrow an eraser.

"Amus I borrowed the eraser"

"You don't have an eraser?" ask Amus.

"There is, but I mean a special eraser for the exam. Got me missing somewhere"

"Well wait a minute" said Amus who went into the room and came back again in a short time.

"It!" he said while handing over the eraser.

"Thank you, can I borrow it until the test? not long after about a week, after my second exam I'm done I'll give it back."

They were stunned to hear Ratna who had indirectly told them that she did not pass with such a carefree expression as usual.

"No need, I still have another. You can keep it" replied Amus.

"Oh you're very kind, thank you" said Ratna, she was about to leave but Jimy called her.

"Ratna, passion!" he said with a smile.

Ratna smiled at the words, there was a sense of haru as she stared one by one at her friend who smiled at her.

With the support of everyone he became more enterprising and confident again, every day he showed a significant improvement until the time of the second exam began.

Once in the morning Sapardi had woken up and prepared breakfast for Ratna, as this was the day he took the second exam so Sapardi wanted to give his daughter some encouragement. Exams are held at the school where a special room has been prepared, the exam that lasts for an hour is supervised by a supervisor of two people.

Ratna sat in her chair and prepared the stationery before the supervisor handed out the exam papers, her heart racing as she received the question sheet but she knew she had to remain calm if she wanted to succeed.

When he received the answer sheet and the second official examination in the title with a single deep breath Ratna then breathed out all her doubts.

With full confidence the first time he wrote his name in the column that has been provided, continuing to other biodata then answer the question one by one.

An hour passed because his mind was focused only on getting the test right, lucky he finished the last question on time when the supervisor said they only had five minutes left.

The remaining time Ratna used to check the results of its performance, making sure all biodata was written correctly and the answer was filled neatly.

After five minutes the supervisors collected the answer sheets and questions separately, while the students were allowed to go home.

"Ratna" called her homeroom teacher as she walked out of the room.

"Yes ma'am" he answered.

"You've tried hard, leave the rest to God, may everything go as you expect."
