Dollar Girl

Dollar Girl
Chapter 68 Invitation Letter

The days went on as usual without anything special, but that day when Ratna worked in the tavern she got a guest that she had not seen long enough. She is Mita, a classmate who is now Jimy's sister-in-law.

"You work so hard, hasn't it been years?" ask Mita.

"Yes, without feeling I've been through two years by being an employee here. For a long time I felt like this store was a part of me"

"Of course, I came here on purpose to provide you with an invitation letter" Mita wrote.

"What's? invitation letter? did you decide to get married early?" ratna asked in shock.

"What do you mean? this is an invitation letter from our Junior High School, there is a reunion event that will be held next week"

"Oh. I think you decided to marry Angga's sister"

"Don't joke, my dream is still long" Mita replied.

"Oh yeah, please give it to Amus, Ardi and Jimy. I don't have time to visit them one by one, there are still many friends I haven't been to"

"All right leave it to me" Ratna said, accepting the invitation letter.

Not long after came a girl who did not know Ratna, apparently she was the organizer of the reunion event. Mita was also incorporated in it, therefore they agreed to meet at Ratna's shop to make it easier to meet.

Since Ratna was a new student at the time so she only knew the children who were in the same class with her, she was not very interested in the reunion but if the others were going to leave then she would also definitely come along.

"Are you done handing out the invitation letter?" ask the girl to Mita.

"Mm, it's all. How's yours?"

"Not yet, there is one more person left. His name is Jaya, the house is quite far away so I'm a bit lazy to deliver the mail"

"I'm sorry.. What Jaya do you mean is Jaya who used to be one tongkrongan with Amus?" asked Ratna who had overheard their conversation.

"True, he used to be famous for being wayward because he often truant. I heard she got kicked out of school because of a problem, now I don't know where she goes"

"He's at school with me, if you want I can give him the invitation letter" Ratna said.

"really? wow, what a coincidence, please yes. "said the girl was happy.

Ratna accepted the invitation letter, happy to be able to help others work if it is not difficult. After work he also immediately distributed the invitation letter to his friends, they said they would come because they had missed other friends. Therefore Ratna would also definitely come to fulfill the invitation.

The next day he brought an invitation letter to Jaya but that day he did not enter school because of permission, whether there is a need for what Ratna does not know and does not care either. He decided he would give it tomorrow, there was still time so it didn't matter.

But the next day Jaya still does not go to school anymore, this makes her confused because she is afraid Jaya will continue to truant and the invitation letter does not reach her. It was then that suddenly a classmate shouted.

"Ratna.. someone's looking for you!"

Ratna turned her head and saw a first-grade student standing with a nervous face, she walked over and the child looked increasingly nervous to the point of not daring to look at her.

"What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Introducing Jaya's new boyfriend, she wanted to see Jaya's ex so I called you" he said.

"Oh so you're his new girlfriend?" ask Ratna.

"E-eh. not like that, I. I just... happened to pass by" the boy said.

Though the reality happened was a few days after he was made with Jaya the child had just learned that Jaya was a class with her ex while in Junior High School, curiosity began to arise in his heart to find out who the former Jaya was.

From his friends Jaya he finds out Ratna's name, therefore he accidentally peeks into Ratna's class just to see her. When he saw Ratna's beautiful face and proportionate height, his confidence was lost, when compared to him he felt inferior to Ratna.

That's when Jaya's friend saw her and called Ratna so she could see clearly.

"Include me Ratna" Ratna reached out.

"Ha-hello. I'm Dea"

"Well, what a funny name that fits you so well" said Ratna.

Dea just smiled and started to dare to look at Ratna even though there was still a bit of fear.

"Ah right too, wait a moment" Ratna said suddenly.

Ratna entered her class and took the invitation letter of the reunion, which she gave to Dea, saying.

"There's a reunion at our Junior High School, it's been two days Jaya didn't come in so I haven't handed her over yet. So can you help me hand over this invitation letter? you're definitely gonna meet him, right?"

"Well" replied Dea.

* * *

Day three Jaya entered the school as usual, but because of the invitation letter he had left to Dea so Ratna did not tell him anymore.

Arriving at the weekend Ratna with her gangmates went to meet the invitation, Mita as the committee welcomed their arrival at the entrance.

The event is quite lively by presenting a local band, there are also delicious food treats. Ratna mingles with people but helps Mita more because there are not many friends she meets on the show.

At the peak of the event there was a doorprize that enlivened the atmosphere, luck was on Ardi's side because he won a bottle of perfume.

Until without feeling the event was finished and closed with the distribution of souvenirs in the form of bracelets from beads, Ratna and friends went home together with Jimy's car.

"I'm going to the record store first, you're not rushing home, are you?" ask Jimy.

"No, it's up to you" replied Amus.

Jimy also turned the car to the cassette shop, when he got there Ratna also went down and looked at the cassette that Jimy wanted to buy.

"I've got what I'm looking for, do you want to buy something?" ask Jimy.

"No, let's go home" replied Ratna.

Jimy went to the cashier to pay while Ratna came out first, which was when he accidentally saw Jaya was with Dea.

"Jaya.

Jaya and Dea turned their heads, looking at Ratna who was approaching them.

"I thought you why don't you come, apparently you're on a date? ah.. You are the type of man who prefers to be alone with a partner" said Ratna.

"What do you mean?" tanya Jaya is confused.

"Oh, don't you forget there's a reunion at our Junior High School"

"Reunites? when?"

"Of course today, you've got the invitation letter, right?" ask Ratna to make sure.

"I didn't receive any letters"

"But I gave it to Dea" Ratna said.

Their eyes immediately turned to Dea, with Dea's grim face only able to bow her head. After receiving the invitation letter, Dea did not want Jaya to go to the reunion because if Jaya left then there is a possibility Jaya will remember her courtship with Ratna.

"Dea must have forgotten, it's okay there was nothing interesting in the event" Ratna said seeing Dea's eyes begin to glaze over.

"I didn't forget!" dea suddenly said.

Jaya and Ratna stared at the tears that began to flow on Dea's cheeks, suddenly Dea pulled Jaya's hand back a few steps to get away from Ratna.

"I deliberately didn't tell Jaya that you didn't have a chance to approach her again" Dea pointed out.

"What do you mean?" ask Ratna wonder.

"You can't fool me! you deliberately want to make me angry and fight with Jaya so you can go back to dating her, right?"

"What's? what kind of accusation is that?" sergeant Ratna.

"I won't let you have a chance anyway" Dea insisted.

Ratna gasped at Dea's strong determination, her burning eyes not out of jealousy but in order to keep what belonged to her. For Jaya it may be very childish, but as a fellow woman Ratna quite understood.

Hahaha

Ratna's laughter left Jaya and Dea astonished because there was nothing funny, they just fell silent until Ratna stopped laughing.

"You're very lucky, you've got someone who not only cares about you but takes care of your relationship" Ratna said.

Casually Ratna walked up to Dea and held her hand.

"Do you know the reason behind our relationship ending?" tanyakanya.

"I-that's. I don't know"

"Because I don't value our relationship, that's why she went out with another woman and I blame her when I care more about my own male theme" she replied, leaving Dea stunned.

"Well see you" Ratna continued.

"What... is that true? the reason why you broke up?" ask Dea after Ratna's departure.

"Yes... "

"Sorry, I'm jealous of her beauty. I thought if you guys continued together you'd fall back in love with her" Dea said regretfully.

Tuk

Aw...

Dea rubbed her jidat in the flick, but then Jaya rubbed her head gently.

"Although she's beautiful but her nature is very bad, if I want to date her just because it's beautiful our relationship may not end" she said which made Dea smile.

* * *

Ratna's steps came to a halt as she saw Ardi sitting alone outside her house, as if something was troubling her mind several times Ratna saw him twitching his head.

"You got a headache?" tanya Ratna approached.

"Oh you're home"

"What are you doing?" ask Ratna again.

"Waiting you home"

"waiting me? what's up?"

"Tomorrow there's a futsal match, I'm on the Amus team. Can you come to encourage us?" tanyakanya.

"Well, if it doesn't interfere with my work time it looks like I can come"

"The game starts at eight, it's done, right?"

"Alright then I'll come"

"good.. "

Ratna bade farewell before leaving and was returned with a wave of hands by Ardi.

Ratna complies with Ardi's request by coming over while bringing juice for them to drink, Amus was quite surprised to see Ratna coming because he did not know if Ardi invited him but he then did not respond and focused on the match.

The match went smoothly, as usual Amus team dominated the game if Ardi entered the team. In the first half Amus' team won by scoring two goals while the opponent did not manage to do a single goal.

Forward to the second half Amus' team was positive to win the match easily, but apparently their opponents had a bad temper. Several times Amus was targeted even his ribs were elbowed hard enough to hurt, it was clearly seen by others but Amus did not want to prolong the problem.

But a few minutes later a more serious problem arose, as Amus ran to dribble one of his opponents trying to grab the ball.

Because Amus is quite agile he always escapes to make his opponent upset, with rough Amus in the pepet until it falls and one second later one of his other opponents tripped his leg to fall.

That's what everyone else saw but what Amus felt was that his opponent deliberately kicked him to the point of injury, grimacing in pain he was only able to lie in wait for help.

"You okay?" tanya Ardi approached.

Obviously Amus was not okay, his team protested against the unprofessional act and they got a yellow card. But that didn't change anything for Amus, forced to sit down because he couldn't play.

"Is it still sick?" tanya Ratna looked at Amus's legs which gave pain relief.

"Not if it's not moved"

"What the fuck, how dare to cheat" said Ratna annoyed.

"It's common"

"But it's still pretty outrageous"

"Here you go, there's no point in complaining" Amus said.

Without Amus their team becomes limp, especially Ardi can not be consent to the game saw Ratna who continues to pay attention to Amus. He regretted asking Ratna to come because now he had made an opportunity for Amus and Ratna to approach each other again.

The match was finished without a winner, the opposing team and the Amus team both scored a goal which made the match will be repeated the next day.

Amus came home in the bin by his two friends up to the house, the grandmother who saw her grandson coming home with a limp was certainly shocked and worried but after explaining that it was only a small injury grandmother could calm down. Ardi and Ratna go home after making sure Amus doesn't need their help.

"Ratna." call Ardi before they part.

"What?"

"If... I get injured will you also pick me up and help me?" ask Ardi.

"Of course, why are you asking like that?"

"No, fine until later" said Ardi immediately went from there.

Ardi was sure that Ratna would act similarly, but the obvious worried expression on her face would not necessarily be seen when she was injured.
