Dollar Girl

Dollar Girl
Chapter 31 Raining In The Fair

Again Hamdani told to close the shop even though the night was not late, this is because since they opened until this afternoon the shop was never quiet. They sell a lot of juice until their stock runs out, earning a profit that is beyond expectations makes Hamdani not only give salary but also bonuses in the week of the night.

"It's not too late, use your first salary as best you can" Hamdani said.

"Thank you uncle!" ratna was happy.

"I hope with this bonus you will be more active in working again"

"Of course, we won't disappoint uncle"

"Alright, uncle go home first" said Hamdani pamit.

"Ah...without feeling we've been working for a week, time quickly passed" muttered Ratna after Hamdani's departure.

"Hey how about we go to the fair? we still have time to ride some rides" Ardi suggested.

"Looks fun"

"All right let's go!" take Ardi who immediately took Ratna's hand.

Apparently at the fair more crowded than usual, since school holidays all recreational places are so many targets everyone to vacation especially for those who do not go out of town or abroad.

"What do you want to ride?" ask Ardi.

"Let's know, I'm not really interested in anything" replied Ratna who looked lethargic.

"Why? you sick?" tanya Ardi started to worry.

"No, just don't want to"

"Alright. how about we play the clamp machine" proposed Ardi.

Ratna nodded with a smile, immediately they left and saw what they wanted. Ratna's eyes were fixed on the stuffed cow in one of the machines, aware that it was what Ratna Ardi wanted to try her luck immediately.

"Ah... can! arh. "erang Ratna saw the doll fall back.

Curiously they tried to return, Ratna closed her eyes while clenching her hands unable to see as the doll was lifted up. Ardi was about to cheer when the doll managed to get, but as soon as he saw the eyes of Ratna who was closed expectantly he pegged.

This was just a doll that he could buy in the store, but if he did he would never be able to see Ratna's earnestness when he wanted something. Since childhood this made him interested in Ratna, a face of hope that he did not want to disappoint.

Smiling, Ardi took the doll and placed it right in front of Ratna's still-closed eyes, then said.

"I succeeded."

As soon as Ratna opened her eyes, her hope face turned carefree while taking the doll.

"Ah.... so funny...may I try to play it?"

"Of course" answered Ardi.

With enthusiasm Ratna began to insert coins and try hopefully, but the fate is not as good as Ardi. He had tried several times until finally tired and gave up, with annoyance he was now willing to ride some rides that are not too stressful.

Not enough to get there he bought some food until his stomach was full until suddenly the rain blew the crowd, people including himself and Ardi immediately ran for shelter.

"Ah...why should it rain at a time like this" he said while wagging his clothes.

"This is just a drizzle, soon it will stop" said Ardi.

From a sufficiently sheltered place they gazed at the dark dark sky, the rain had driven away the sprinkling of stars and the beauty of the moon without sparing anything.

ZZZZZRRRRTTT

DUARS

BRACKET

Kyaa........

Ratna's reflexes embrace Ardi to take cover from the sound of lightning striking the tree right before their eyes, the shocked Ardi can only hug Ratna until he can be calmer.

"Ah... tree" said Ratna quietly without releasing her embrace.

"It's okay, it's just a tree"

"Can we move? I'm afraid to stay here" he said.

"Alright, we're looking for a safer place" replied Ardi agreeing.

They immediately went to another place, so that Ratna was calmer Ardi decided to go into a cafe and ordered drinks to warm up the body.

"You okay?" asked Ardi who was sitting right in front of him.

"Mm, I'm fine"

"You were so scared earlier" commented Ardi.

"I love the rain but not the sound of lightning, it's so loud it makes my ears deaf."

Unexpectedly Ardi stroked Ratna's hand, enough action to make Ratna surprised because the look of Ardi's face also looks soft with a straight look at her.

"You don't have to worry, I'm here for you" he said.

"Ah... our drinks have come" said Ratna pulled her hand which made Ardi's smile disappear.

Since they worked in the same place Ardi's actions on her were quite strange, even the look in her eyes now made Ratna uncomfortable. Either just his feelings or indeed Ardi acts as if he is his.

"Is anyone disturbing your mind?" tanya Ardi clearly saw Ratna's empty eyes.

"Ah.no!" ratna answered quickly.

"Law.... Di, how's your new boyfriend doing?"

"Why are you suddenly asking about her?" ask Ardi wonder.

"Oh. I've told him that I work, and what do I care if he's angry"

"Why are you saying that?"

"I've given her some understanding, I've been kind as a boyfriend so if she's jealous and still pissed at me for what I bother to explain everything. All I have to do is one thing, decide it"

"You're a really cunning white rabbit" Ratna said.

"I don't want to make the same mistake twice" Ardi said seriously.

"I've been rude to you, and I promise you it won't happen again. I won't listen to what others say about you anymore, I'll just keep looking after you" he continued.

"Everyone makes mistakes, don't blame yourself. Anyway I understand your position very well, it's only natural that you act like one"

"No, everything is unnatural! though I didn't love Yuni but I trusted her more, I was confused as to why I could do that"

"What?" ratna asked confusedly.

"I've been dating girls who love me without reciprocating their love, it's hard for a girl to express love because of that when there's a girl who is able to express love to me it's like I can't resist. I don't want to hurt those soft hearts, I can't break them"

"Aren't you aware of what you're saying? do you realize you've been acting unfairly?" ask Ratna wonder.

"I think I'm fair enough, they get what they want. I also have no problem living such a relationship as long as they don't do things that irritate me"

"Don't be stupid! you can't compromise on someone's love, accepting that love but not repaying it is tantamount to flying someone without giving wings. In the end he will fall so hard that he cannot rise again" Ratna said firmly.

"There's no need to talk excessively, you never experience what I've experienced" Ardi replied casually.

"What do you mean? I understand very well how the condition of your courtship" replied Ratna clearly because the condition of her courtship with Jaya was like that.

But Ardi's eye condition for question marks made him realize that he had revealed the secret of his heart.

"I-I am also a woman, if I am treated like that then as I explained I will be hurt" Ratna said quickly so that Ardi did not suspect.

"Gosh, I almost forgot that you're a girl too" Ardi joked.

"What do you mean?" ask Ratna offended.

"It's okay, I think in your brain there's only money and food but it turns out you have a heart just like any other girl"

"You want me to hit? how dare to talk like that" said Ratna annoyed.

After five years of separation and reuniting after becoming a teenager, Ardi did not know much about Ratna, even he also only knew the incident of bullying received by Ratna after they quarreled.

One more thing that Ardi did not know was about Ratna's feelings as a girl, her eyes had seen the figure of a beautiful girl inside Ratna but had not seen the person who filled her heart.

"It seems like the rain will not stop" Ratna looked out the window.

They stared at the droplets of water that fell to the earth in large numbers, the wet smell was sharp and the cold air was quite piercing even though they were inside the room. Ratna rubbed her arms so that there was a little warmth that she felt, Ardi who saw that was quite sensitive and took off his jacket.

"Wear this" she said, wearing the jacket on Ratna's body.

"What about you?"

"There's no need to worry about me" Ardi replied with a smile.

"Hmm, remember? in the first rain in the dry season we will rush out of the house and play rain" Ratna recalled.

"Our parents never get angry about it, unless we play until we forget time"

"Haha yes, I remember the mother. "Ratna's words stopped remembering the figure of her mother who she missed.

"Auntie will scold us for taking you to play too long" Ardi continued.

"Yes, then I'll cry because I can't bear to see you angry."

They laughed as they vividly remembered the memories, for a few moments silence was present between them. Give space for memories that stop just to fill the empty time, until soon the rain subsides.

They decided to go home because the day was already quite late, by walking down the wet road they finally separated right in front of Ardi's house.

"This is your jacket, thank you for lending it" Ratna said, handing over the jacket.

"It's okay, you can return it tomorrow wear it so your body doesn't get cold"

"No need, my house is near. If I may just want a stuffed cow"

"Of course, the doll is for you" Ardi said.

"Thank you, I'll see you tomorrow" Ratna said.

Ardi stays in place only to see Ratna walk further and further until lost at the turn, their first day of payday is quite fun and has their own story that they can remember later.

By walking slowly Ratna enjoyed all the things that happened in her life, even she seemed happy. Seen from the way the road is relaxed while humming.

He arrived in front of his house and was about to knock but the sound of someone's screams suddenly caught his attention, he turned his head back but there was clearly no one there.

Curiosity finally made Ratna walk forward to be sure, but suddenly.

Brucks

"Rabra!"

"Amus!" reply called.

Amus's face panicked with his breath cut off.

"What's wrong?" ask Ratna who panicked.

"Please..help me!" her door.
