Sarah knows that her son-in-law is avoiding her, but she must get information from him that he will not be suing Rey for divorce. He received a phone call from Seto a few hours ago, who said that the contract signed by Rey and Vane a year ago is still solid, that means their marriage will be over in 48 hours. Rey finds Vane sitting in one of the recliners by the pool. His face was half hidden behind a thick book. All the scolding she received last night from her mother felt worth it, because now she could look at the woman she loved the most. Surprised to realize how deep his love for Vane is, Rey stumbles at her own pace.

Vane doesn't hear Rey's footsteps, but he hears when Rey swears. He immediately lifted the book that covered his face, closed the book, and stood up, but he did not move near Rey.
