Chapter 49

Mikhail Shoygu's. That's the name that came to Vane's mind. His ex-girlfriend two years ago. A member of the Russian military, the son of the Russian defense minister whose position is very influential on the European mainland. Hearing all that Rius said made Vane squash, he did not expect that his father-in-law should be trapped in the psychopathic world. Vane doesn't want Rey and her mother-in-law to be the next victim. Therefore, he had to think of a mature plan.

Vane decides to contact Mikhail. He tried to contact Mikhail via vidio call. Hopefully Mikhail will pick it up soon.

"Hello Darling!"greet Micah with a radiant face when he finds out Vane is contacting him.

"I'm not your darling again, Micah"balas Vane.

"Oh my God, Nessa, you always have to be my darling. I know.you're married. But what's wrong if I still love you even today. If my father's power wasn't in trouble then maybe I'd be your husband."

Nessa is Mikhail's favorite call, to Vane. Although Mikhail is Vane's ex-girlfriend, Vane swears that Mikhail is next to her, she may have thrown the shoe at the man's head.

"Mikha, this is not the time to discuss our past. There are important things you should know" Vane said seriously.

"Okey, tell me" said Mikhail, getting serious.

Vane told Micah the details of Rius' plan, and the Russian man watched closely. He already knew that the Indonesian government had ordered the weapons a year ago. Even when the weapon was still in the experimental stage, Vane had tried it while still in Russia.

"How's it?"vane finally.

"So they, the criminals who have been making France and Germany can lose millions of dollars" Micah murmured.

"And they will do that and make Indonesia lose millions of dollars as well. So I ask you to play a little tactic" Vane said with a smile.

"Tactics? Like what?"

"Let the criminals think that the weapon will arrive in Indonesia in three months to get them out of hiding. And tell the Indonesian government that the real weapons will be delivered in four months" Vane explained with a sly look.

"I see what you mean. We are just manipulating information. Of course it's easy for me. Do you want anything from me?"

Mikhail knew that the woman in front of his eyes was no ordinary woman, he always knew what he wanted.

"Give me a smart watch" Vane said.

A smart watch is a watch. But it's not an ordinary watch. Because it is designed to be a surveillance object with a spy camera, sound eavesdropping, and equipped with software like a computer. And only the intel has a clock like that.

"OKAY. I'll give you whatever you want. Thank you for the information" Micah replied casually.

"Thank you back."

"I love you Nessa" Micah said with a look like a man who wouldn't part with his girlfriend.

"I'm not in love with you again, Micah." Vane ended the vidio call. He took a long breath.

His feelings are mixed. There is sadness, anger, confusion, and worry. It was not that he had not been able to move on from Mikhail, let alone that there was already a figure of Rey in his life that clearly replaced the figure of Mikhail from his heart. But what puzzled her was what would happen to Rey if she found out the truth about her papa.

Especially if he finds out that Vane was the one who had been eyeing his papa all along. Maybe Rey would hate him. Vane tried to be a heartless human for years by making connections only to those fellow intelers not to the target or part of the target family. But now he's caught in this situation.

It's been almost two weeks, Vane can't stand living in Rey's house without Rey in it. Every corner of the house reminds Vane of Rey. The helpers even begin to realize that she is now sleeping in Rey's room as they find the bed sheets are crumpled every morning and Vane's bed is kept tidy.

Vane decides to stay at Sarah's house for a while until Rey returns from her tour. And Vane took advantage of that opportunity to keep an eye on the movement of his target. Vane wants to laugh at himself how he can be a heartless man and a wife who is holding back longing for her husband at the same time.

At first Sarah refused that Vane sleep in her house. But Vane threatens that he will sleep in Bobi's apartment. Of course Sarah would not if the media reported that her daughter-in-law slept in another man's apartment. Although Sarah also knows Bobi but the media will not care about what really happened.

And this morning, after a two-day stay at Sarah's house, Vane sat in the living room staring at her laptop complete with earpieces in her ears. And Vane did that when Rius and Jade came to visit Adam's house.

"Hi Vane." Jade greeted Vane so kindly.

Vane immediately closed his laptop when he realized whose voice greeted him. Jade still smiled at him but not with Rius. He put on a cold face with a sharp look. A few months after Rey's wedding, Rius meets Adam's son-in-law.

And what makes Rius does not take his gaze away from Vane is because Vane wears the earpiece of the German production Noise WF-1000XM3 brand. And only a member of the military had such an earpiece. Noticing Rius' strange gaze, Vane immediately took off his earpiece.

"Oh you came" said Sarah emerging from the house.

"Hi Lady Sarah. Does your husband exist?"ask Jade.

"As usual, he's in the library" Sarah replied.

Jade nodded then walked away followed by Rius. Jeez Vane's getting stoic. Stiffening at once fun. Vane decides to go to his room to start monitoring.

Vane's laptop screen showed video footage from the camera in the pen and how shocked Vane was to read the contents of the document stating detailed information about when the Russian government sent the weapon to Indonesia and the price selling what they offered to the Israelites meant that Vane had to swallow her hard-earned saliva.

"Crazy! It is only fitting that Papah Adam could buy a palace in Pondok Indah, seeing the amount of money he would get from selling the weapon illegally" Vane said.

Just now Vane was sending information to Satria and Mikhail heard a knock on the door. Vane got up from his seat and opened the door.

"What's Mah?"vane asked as he looked at Sarah with a frightened face.

Vane is confused because he sees Sarah's face which usually looks cruel like a stepmother when she is very good turned into an expression of fear.

"It seems you have to prepare your excuse because Rey is on her way here?"said it.

"Why is he in Jakarta? He should have a show together in Makassar tomorrow. Is there a problem?"reply Vane who had shown an expression of disbelief.

"Of course there's a problem. He went home to meet his wife who had stopped by his mother's house. He probably thinks you're angry."

Oh my God, Rey is coming.

Now Sarah has left Vane's room, and left her daughter-in-law with a foggy feeling. Vane doesn't know what to do first. This is his first meeting with Rey after all this time. Vane finally chose to comb his hair to make it neat and improve the polish of his makeup.

Vane looks through the window and finds Rey coming out of her Range Rover. From his step Vane knew that his mood was not good. Vane rushed to the door to greet him. Vane walked up the stairs. Just now he was going down the stairs when he saw Rey had walked up three steps at once.

When Rey realizes that Vane is in front of her, her steps stumble, but then she approaches Vane quickly, and Vane is glued to her place, waiting until Rey reaches her.

"Hi, Rey" said Vane smiling doubtfully.

All went quickly as Rey pushed him against the wall without waiting for a reaction from Vane to kiss him. His kiss felt rough and demanding so that made Vane block fog follow him.

Rey pulls Vane's body into her arms with her right as if Vane was her puppet, while her left hand holding the back of Vane's head helps her to not hit the wall while she performs her attack. They both overflowed their longing for each other.

Rey lifted her lips from Vane's lips and said, "I miss you," between her hunting breaths.

Vane could not see Rey's face, which was now kissing her forehead many times, "I miss you too" Vane replied with a smile.

Hearing Vane reply, Rey kisses Vane again. But now the kiss is softer and it makes Vane melt it made.

Sarah shouted from the stairs staring intently at the child and his daughter-in-law. Rey must be willing to let go of her kiss and turn to the source of the voice.

"Hai Mah"sapa Rey is awkward.

Sarah just shook her head then went down the stairs and left them.

"Rey.."

"You can explain the reason for your sobriety after I take off all the clothes attached to your body. Where's your bedroom?"

Rey had already pulled Vane's hand towards one of the rooms.

"Relations...Rey are you crazy? This is your mom's house?"prevent Vane.

"So?"

"It's not polite" Vane insisted.

"So you don't mind sleeping with me. The only problem is the location?"

Vane gawked for a few seconds trying to digest Rey's words. But he managed to overcome his confusion and nodded.

"Okay, I'll take you home. But you have to promise that you won't change your mind during the trip" he said.

"Promise" answered Vane.

Rey was carrying a car like crazy and breaking a traffic light. He was grateful there were no police at all. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel waiting for the gate to open before he plugged in the gas. After his car made it into the garage, Rey immediately dragged Vane upstairs and did not care about Mbok Nami's confused gaze.

"Your room what's my room?"ask Rey.

"Eerr.." said Vane doubtfully.

"My room. There's a reason why I bought a King-size bed" cut Rey out.

"Rey..."

"Don't worry, you're the first woman to sleep on that bed. I never bring women home to make love."

Vane could only gap on hearing that statement. Rey dragged Vane into her room, and she closed and locked the door.

Rey took two steps closer to Vane.

"Rey wait a minute..."

"I don't care the reason for your departure and I've forgiven that." Rey doesn't care about Vane's body language.

Vane sat on the bed screaming, "Wait..."

Rey, who was in the process of stripping the belt after throwing her t-shirt on the floor, stopped and looked at her.

"I swear if you reject me this time, I'll strangle you Van" Rey grumbled.

Vane unexpectedly giggled, "And I wouldn't be able to reject you if I was imprisoned like this."

Rey breathed in and continued the process of dating her clothes. And now Vane looked at him with a childlike gaze that was watching a horror movie.

"Why are you worried about me like that? I don't think you've ever seen a man naked" Rey commented as she walked to the bed.

"You're first for me" Vane said pulling his body into the middle of the bed.

Those words stopped Rey's steps on the bed.

"Vane in this situation I'm not sure if I can be gentle with you. I could have accidentally hurt you" Rey sounded desperate.

Vane placed both hands on Rey's face and said, "I trust you," with complete confidence.

Vane kissed the corner of Rey's lips to convince her. Rey is hesitant at first, but Vane finds out she has won when Rey starts kissing her back while her hands begin to undress. And for the next three hours Vane can feel what it means to be adored by a man.

"Are you okay?"rey asks after he is satisfied exploring Vane's body and makes her scream many times.

"I'm okay." Vane's voice sounded slightly muffled as his head rested on Rey's chest.

"Sorry" said Rey who had caressed Vane's head.

"For?"

"I'm afraid I've hurt you" Rey explained.

Rey hears Vane giggling at Rey's words, where she has already shown her sensitive side. This woman always knows how to trample her ego.

"Is something funny?"ask Rey.

"You" Vane replied.

Rey snorted angrily and then she was about to move out of bed, but Vane pulled her hand.

Vane smiled and said, "Thank you for the attention" said Vane and kissed Rey's forehead which immediately salting.

Rey turned to look at Vane and cupped his wife's face with both hands.

"I love you" Rey declared her love.

"I love you too" replied Vane.

"Thank you" Rey said.

"For what?"ask Vane.

"It's going to be my wife" Rey replied. He had never felt so lucky to have a woman who could truly understand him other than his mother.

Now Rey kissed Vane's lips again and she went back to her action again until she didn't realize it was dark and she was getting reluctant to get out of the room.
