Chapter 47: It's Fast

After dinner, Alex logged back into the game. He walked out of his house filled with lantern light. He slowly walked down the mountain and towards the valley of the sect.

The valley of the sect had always been the same. Illuminated with lanterns and festival-like atmosphere. The moon is hidden behind the clouds today, but it doesn't seem to be raining.

He walked to the proper alchemy garden and saw an elder waiting in front of the road leading to the garden.

“Greetings Elders,” greet when you get to that place.

He looked at the outer clothes of Alex's disciple, and said, If you're here to ask for alchemy materials, then you'd better have contribution points, otherwise, you'll just be wasting our time.

Alex chuckled and said nothing. Instead, he simply handed over his signboard to an older person. When the old man read the signboard, his eyes widened in surprise.

I don't know if the sect leader likes you or hates you.He gives you free access to everything, yet he assigns you to this job which usually takes more than 10 elders overnight. Said an older man.

"Oh wow, really?" she said. Alex was not worried. He had [Alchemy God Knowledge] and spiritual awareness, so he was sure he would be fine.

Many disciples came to the elder and asked for different materials. At exactly 8 o'clock, they stopped accepting any more requests for the day. An elder arrived about 5 minutes later from the gate of another alchemy garden.

Together, the two elders combined their lists and counted the ingredients. Once everything is in order, they hand over the list to Alex.

"This is the list, disciple Yu. You can start looking for the ingredients now. Please be careful not to make unnecessary damage when you finish your punishment," the elders gave their sincere intentions towards him.

Alex says goodbye to them and walks into the park. He looked at the talisman that contained that list. He used his spiritual senses to look at the paper and easily remembered all the materials there. Thats stunning.

He immediately started matching the ingredients on the list with some of the ingredients he found while walking in the park this morning.

He expanded his spiritual senses to a maximum radius of 20 meters and began scanning everything to look for possible matches. He immediately began to use his Qi to pick up the ingredients and bring them to him.

"One fell." He saw a few others as well and started to gather them as well. He walked around the mountain looking at the different materials. The mountain was quite vast, and he needed a lot of time to pass through it.

With his spiritual awareness and Qi manipulation, he easily gathered all the ingredients in the alchemy garden that were on the list. After about 2 hours, he finished collecting everything on the list available on this mountain.

He managed to find about 60% of the total ingredients that were on the list on this mountain. Before he came out, he sat and waited.

The two elders were still outside. When they saw it coming, they frowned.

“Is something wrong, Disciple Yu?” one of the elders asked.

"No," Alex gave a one-word answer and started walking away from them. The elders are confused. They looked at each other and immediately stopped Alex.

"Murid Yu, Stop!! Where are you going? You can't leave your job." Said an older man.

“Hmm... I will go to another park. Nothing else is on the list here.” He said and started walking once again."

"What?" they're shocked. “Murid Yu, can you show us your collection until now?” one of the elders asked.

Alex just threw the bag at him. When the elders saw that he had actually gathered all the ingredients, they were shocked.

Alex took back his bag and walked straight to the other park. The park is the same as the first. The elders let the plant grow as it wished.

Alex once again had to collect the ingredients. With his strong spiritual awareness and Qi, he was extremely quick in gathering other ingredients.

Something Alex found interesting when collecting these materials was the way it was collected. Most of the ingredients can be picked directly from the plant like a flower or a regular fruit.

However for some materials, his instincts did not allow him to pluck them just like that. He had to perform a strange operation to obtain the ingredients.

For example, one of the growing fruits requires that he twist the branch of the fruit as much as 5 times before being picked by himself. Otherwise, it would be almost impossible to tear it apart.

After he finished collecting the materials, he handed the bag back to the elder and walked away. The elders looked at the materials inside the bag. More than 90% of the material has been collected.

The remaining materials of less than 10% were rare materials that even the elders knew could not be found in the garden. They looked at the time and were shocked.

Alex walked back to his residence alone as well. He looked at the time and realized that he had gathered his ingredients before 12 a.m. If it had happened 2 days ago, maybe he would have taken an entire night to gather everything.

However with his new spiritual awareness, and better understanding in manipulating objects with Qi, the task of gathering materials became too fast.
