Chapter 30: The Explosion

Alex has been going to the eastern side of Scarlet City for 2 days.

So, he decided to visit the west side this time.

A huge explosion shook the earth. Alex stumbled a little because of the shockwave he felt, The explosion happened very close to where he was.

He dashed towards the sound, and within minutes he saw an enormous scene of destruction.

Alex looked at the site of the destruction. The trees were uprooted by the shock wave and burned. The rocks that were crushed into dust were still in the air.

He walked to the edge of the crater and waited for the dust to subside. After the air cleared, he finally saw what was inside.

The crater has a depth of about 10 meters and a width of about 20 meters. Trees were uprooted and bushes were burning throughout the crater. In the middle of the crater there is a white and red figure.

Alex moved a little closer to see what it was. As he approached, he finally realized that the white and red figure was a monster. Alex's first thought was to run away, but he persisted once he realized the monster was not moving at all.

'Is he dead?' He thinks. He approached to see what it was. That monster was a cat-like monster with a huge mustache. It is about the size of a rhino, and its fur is white with red patches.

'Wait, it's not a red spot, ' he thought. He walked a little closer to see what it was and discovered that what he thought was a red patch was actually blood.

The cat-like monster was covered in blood. He looked at his wound and saw something sticking out of his back.

'Hmm.' Alex stop. He thinks he heard something. It was the cry of a cat, yet it was very small.

He once again heard the cat cry, He approached the dead cat monster when suddenly the monster started moving.

The cat is not dead. It really moves. He decided to check the description of the cat, so he focused on it.

Ding!!

That's all he got. He could not see his name, and his cultivation.

'How strong is this cat?' he thinks.

Alex just stood there and watched, not knowing what to do.

As he was thinking about what to do, something moved on the other side of the crater. From afar it looks like a white red blob.

When Alex focused on seeing what it was, he realized it was a silver-colored wolf with a large wound on its back.

'That wolf.' he thought. It looks very similar. He checked his name, and he was right. It was the Quick Wolf that Luo Mei had failed to kill.

he is now heading towards the injured cat. The cat let out a loud growl that blocked the wolf for a while, but the wolf was more than aware that the cat was on the verge of death, and could do nothing more.

The cat could not move at this time, so he would definitely die, Besides, there was his child inside.

Alex can't stand by and watch his parents and son die.

He decided to help them. He pulled out his sword and ran to where the cat was.

Listening to something else appear towards him, the cat again growled loudly.

Alex felt extremely frightened when the growl, The wolf was the same.

Alex took a deep breath and walked in front of the cat.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to save you and your son" Alex said loudly and stood with the sword in his hand,

The cat looked at him and closed his eyes.

'Does he understand me?' Alex thought

Then, he turned his attention back to the wolf. He activated focus mode and prepared his Smiting Blade technique.

This wolf seemed to have enough intelligence to realize that alex was with Luo Mei when she was injured. He was considering whether to attack or not.

Given that the situation was life or death, the wolf no longer hesitated and attacked.
