Chapter 41: Unlocking...

After dinner, Alex logged back into the game. The night had turned into night, and his new home was lit by lanterns. There are many lanterns around the house for lighting.

He picked up the lantern and walked into the courtyard. The light was not bright enough to illuminate the giant courtyard, and only illuminated it dimly. But that was enough for a cultivator like Alex who could see well even without lights.

He sat down on the grass by the pond and removed the lantern cover. He will be practicing the Flame Mastery Scripture for now. For 2 consecutive hours, he had done nothing but manipulate fire. Right now, he did not need much Qi to manipulate fire.

He was worried that his speed in cultivating would be bad for him, and he would start to lose control of his qi. Fortunately, hunting monsters for 3 nights had greatly stabilized his rapidly growing cultivation.

Now, he only needed to stabilize his cultivation, and he could breakthrough once more. He had yet to find a single obstacle, which he was unsure whether it was related to his talent or not. The number next to the amount of Qi required never dropped below 100%.

After he finished practicing the Flame Mastery Scripture, he began to practice flying. Even though he was only moving upwards very slowly, he could still learn to move from side to side.

He took out his qi and started wrapping it around himself. As soon as he made Qi lift him up, he slowly started to rise. About 1 meter from the ground, he stopped his Qi to lift it further and started hovering there.

After which, he took out the Qi again and started moving it. Just because of gravity he had difficulty moving upwards. Since there was nothing blocking him from moving sideways, he started to float freely. His speed in moving sideways was a little faster than his usual moves.

He dropped to the floor once more and thought of something. Ma Rong mentioned something about him that could only float because he subconsciously lifted himself up from the ground before trying to fly.

'What would happen if I jumped first, before trying to fly?' he wonders. Once again, he wrapped himself in Qi and jumped extremely hard. With his current cultivation, he could easily jump as high as 4-5 meters. At the highest altitude, he suddenly used Qi to keep him afloat. Finally, it felt like flying towards him.

At this height, he began to look into the night sky, open mountains, and light that spread into the atmosphere of the sect valley. All of this seemed fantastic to him. He realized, at some point while playing this game, he stopped wanting to play it for money, and instead wanted to play it for himself.

He practiced flying for a while. Every now and then, he tried to float a few small stones from nearby with him. Dividing his attention between himself and other things was difficult, and that was why he practiced.

Manipulating his entire body with Qi in order to stay afloat was an extremely draining task. Before he realized it, he had exhausted all of his Qi. So, he sat down to cultivate.

But, before he started, there was one more thing he had to do. He quickly opened his inventory and picked up something. He looked at the thing in his hand, something he had been looking forward to for the past 2 days.

It was a small flower with 5 yellow petals. Lily Spirit Cleaner. According to Luo Mei, if she held this flower while she was cultivating the entire night, she would open up a spiritual awareness that only someone in the sacred realm could do.

He took a deep breath and began to cultivate. Immediately, the Starry Sky Qi Absorption method was activated and he had a deep trance.

In the beginning, it was a normal cultivation night. Nothing happened to the flower in her hand. But after a while, the yellow flower glowed faintly with a yellow light.

It will light up for a moment, and then it goes out. Turn it on again, and turn it off again. The rhythm he did at first was erratic. But slowly, over time began to harmonize with Alex's breath. Every time he took a breath, the flower lit up. Every time he let go of his breath, the flower turned dark again.

Every breath, the flower began to shine brighter until at one point it lit up so brightly that some of its lights began to break off from the flower and drift.

Slowly they reached Alex's face, and he inhaled it. With each breath, the flower increasingly broke into fragments like embers that were inhaled by Alex.

After some time, the whole flower was eaten by Alex's breath. As soon as everything entered into her, her body began to glow a little as well. The flowers have reached his lungs. From there, they entered his bloodstream and headed to his brain.

The water churned for a while along with its growth. After reaching an enormous size, it stopped growing and became silent. Suddenly, a notification appeared before the unconscious Alex.

The early morning dawn brought a ray of light that illuminated Alex's yard where he was growing crops today. Alex slowly opened his eyes as he came out of what he considered to be sleep.

Every time he cultivated, he always fell asleep. But somehow never wake up later than morning. He always wakes up between 6 and 7 am for a reason.

'Wait a sec. What the hell is going on?' he thinks. Right now he could see things that he did not even see. The pond was currently behind him, so how could he possibly see it?

The blade of grass is too much so he can't ‘see it’ at the same time. He closed his eyes to clear all the vision he saw at the moment, but that didn't help.

He can still see everything clearly. Yeah, almost everything. He could no longer see the rays of light coming from afar, or anything that was not in his yard.

He could see the walls of his house, and also look behind those walls, but not far away. He could see the pool, and everything in it. He could see many fish swimming in the pond.

Once he started focusing on certain things, everything else no longer weighed on him. Although he could still see everything, he started to ignore it. Yet even when he was focused on something, he could still feel that the thing he saw had many things that he saw at once.

For example, when he looked into the pond, he could see all the fish at once, and one at a time at the same time. He felt he could track all the fish even though there were hundreds there.

He saw a lot of grass on the ground. Since there were over a hundred grasses, he had difficulty focusing on all of them at the same time. He had to cut about a hundred or two hundred strands of grass to see everything at the same time and also one by one.

He could clearly feel his mental strength had increased by leaps and bounds. He kept looking around at different things with his eyes still closed. He kept wondering what was going on, why he could see so much.

Then he looked at himself and realized something—The yellow flower had disappeared. Only then did he understand what was happening.

'Wait, so this is the 'spiritual feeling' that Luo Mei was talking about?' he thinks. He uses his spiritual feelings to see himself. He finally saw what others would see when they saw him. No more shadows reflected in the water, this was his true self.

He secretly admired her appearance. He began to see things with his spiritual senses. Slowly, he realized that 'seeing' was not the only spiritual meaning.

He can also ‘feel’ objects he sees. He can tell if an object is smooth or rough. He could tell if something was hot or cold. He could even tell which objects were heavier and which were lighter.

As he looked at things differently, he realized something was draining in his mind, and before he realized it, he stopped seeing anything. He is now in darkness.

'Have I exhausted my spiritual awareness?' he thinks

He opened his eyes to look properly once again. Seeing with his eyes felt like a decline now that he had spiritual awareness. However, due to his increased mental strength, his eyes were able to track down many different things now.

Although the number was not as large as when he used his spiritual senses, it was still a lot.

He decided to check if he could handle many objects with Qi manipulation now that he could track many things at once. He began to throw small stones. Then, he began to do the same to the other stones. And one more. Immediately, he individually kept the 5 stones afloat.

He tried again. At the age of about 8 stones, he began to feel a mental strain, and by the age of 10 stones he had reached the limit of his ability. After moving everything apart for a while, he dropped the stone.

'Hm... I had an alchemy lesson with the master today. I have to go and get back to the game as soon as possible,’ he thought. He immediately logged out and did all his morning business. After she had breakfast, she returned to the room and logged into the game.

He had returned to the game in about 15 minutes, so decided to go to the sect leader's residence as quickly as he could. He opened his eyes and started to stand up, but he suddenly realized something.

The first thing he noticed was that quite a number of his Spiritual Indra were returning. But that's not what surprised him the most.

He slowly looked around, using his eyes and spiritual senses. He was no longer where he logged out and had actually logged in the room elsewhere.

'Where am I?' he thinks. As he thought the door of the room was open, and he looked up to see who it was. He looked at the person who had just entered and said in surprise, "Master?"
