Chapter 31: the death

The target of the wolf was the cat, but he was afraid of how powerful the humans were, so he decided to check on the humans first.

Saw the wolf coming towards him,

Alex immediately swung his sword, using the Smiting Blade technique with incredible speed.

He pointed his sword at the ground and used his one remaining hand to wipe away the blood in his eyes.

Alex turned to look at the wolf in front of him, he swung his sword.

Alex slumped to the ground as soon as he saw the wolf die, As soon as he sat down, he started vomiting blood, the attack had left a deep wound.

His head was hot from the excruciating pain, and he could barely move his left arm, Blood was flowing to his face, he did not have the strength to remove it this time.

"Thank you" he heard a voice in his head.

'Am I hallucinating?' he thinks. 'This is what it feels like to be near death. Full of pain and hallucinations.'

“Thank you for saving my son.” He heard the voice again.

His eyes instantly opened as he looked towards the cat monster. His eyes had lost their clarity and started to get dizzy, but he still continued to stare at her.

"Have you just spoken?" Alex asked, while enduring the pain.

“I have two requests. Will you listen to my request?”

the cat's mouth did not move, but he could hear her voice in his head. He was convinced that the one who spoke was actually the cat.

“Tell me what your request is. If I can fulfill it, I will do it.” said alex.

“Thank you, this is my son. I don't know if you'll survive your injuries or not, but if you survive, please take care of him. His destiny is to grow into the strongest, and I, as his mother, cannot let him die here,” said the cat.

Alex stood up with little energy, and walked towards the cat, there were wounds all over his body, But those injuries were mostly only minor injuries, and even without any help, he said, the wound will survive.

Alex took out the Minor Healing Pill from his inventory. It was the only healing pill he had and only worked on minor injuries, He gave the pill to the little kitten.

The kitten's wound healed in a matter of seconds, and he was able to stand on his small legs.

Alex smiled when he saw the little kitten jumping around in his hand and jumping to the ground. He then ran towards his mother and began to nudge her a little.

Her mother stuck out her tongue and began licking her child, Tears began to flow in her eyes as she continued to lick her child.

Alex's eyes are also a little watery.

The cat then looked at Alex and said, "Now, for my second request." The cat looked at him and then turned to his son for a few seconds, before turning back to him.

"Please kill me."

"Yes" said the cat.

Alex saw his grip and grabbed it, flowing his Qi around the sword surface, He felt the resistance of the remaining Qi in this sword, but he could dissipate the Qi in the sword with his efforts.

The cat snored loudly. The little kitten was frightened for a moment but returned to nudge the mother. The cat slowly licked the little kitten when Alex heard it speak in his mind.

“Thank you,” his tongue stopped licking his son. The cat is dead.

It's the first time Alex has felt bad to see a notification pop up.

"Meow?" the little kitten nudged its mother a little more but there was no response. "Meow meow!" he kept calling his mother to lick him again.

Alex knew the cat was dead, couldn't do anything more,

Tears began to flow in her eyes as she was saddened by the cry of the little kitten.

Huckk!!!!

Suddenly, he vomited blood again and got dizzy. He could no longer stand up and fell hard to the ground.

"Meow?" the little kitten saw him fall and walked up to him.

Alex's mind starts to blur because he doesn't know what's going on outside. He saw the faint silhouette of the little kitten coming at him, he felt something on his forehead.

Suddenly, a white light shone brightly before him. He closed his eyes because the light was too bright to see. He heard a lot of notifications popping up, but he was in no condition to read them at all.

When the light went out, he opened his eyes once more. The little kitten is no more.
