Chapter 32: Important People

Everything's opaque. His head hurt so much that he couldn't even think properly. He accidentally dropped his broken left arm, and it started to hurt as well.

His green robes are mostly red. The most painful part is probably his chest. Most of his ribs were broken, and he was sure some of them had pierced his organs.

He also has trouble breathing.

'Please, just let me die.' All he wanted now was to die. ‘How the cat was able to survive so long with so many injuries. Only 3 wounds and I feel like dying.' He can't not think.

He kept hoping to die, but somehow not. From time to time bursts of warm energy emerged from within his body, even making him not faint. So he had to stay awake and endure the pain.

That's when he started hearing voices.

He felt someone lift him up and put something in his mouth. He heard a woman say something, and,

“Young man, if you can hear me then swallow this pill,” he hears. Without hesitation, he swallowed the pill.

The excruciating pain in his head, arms, and chest were all gone as the cold energy swept through his entire body. Physically he felt his ribs return to normal and could feel his left arm move again.

After all the different feelings were gone, and she returned to normal, she opened her eyes.

There were many people in front of him, all of them high authority figures. He looked at the 3 sets of clothes among these people. One of them was the green-robed figure of the Hong Wu Sect, the second was the yellow-robed figure of the tiger sect, and the last was 2 people, a man and a woman, both of them were wearing purple robes.

One of the green-robed figures was holding him back at the moment. It was a woman in her late 30s, but with no signs of aging. He is graceful yet authoritative.

"Are you okay, young man?" she asked. He tried to understand who he was, but could not. As he wore a green robe, his robe looked yellow in the morning sun.

He did not know anyone who wore the yellow layer in the sect.

He chuckled slightly as his eyes turned into a crescent moon. A green-robed old man with long white hair and a beard walked up to him and said, "Murid, this is the Sect Leader. Please, don't call him an elder. That's not polite."

Alex surprised. 'Steleader?' he immediately turned his head towards the woman and saw something he had missed earlier due to the morning light. The robe has no yellow coating. The coat is gold.

The bronze layer in the sect belonged to the disciples. The silver lining belonged to the elders. Thus, therefore, the Golden layer should belong to the sect leader.

He immediately apologized, "I'm sorry, sect leader. I just joined the sect a week ago, and have not known anything about the important figures in the sect." He bowed.

"Look at the Great Elder, the disciples here are not trying to be disrespectful. He just doesn't know who we are." He said while looking back at the old man.

'A Great Elder!! So he was the sect's Great Elder.' He thinks.

"You're fed up with your conversation, Ma Rong? We need to know what's going on here. Let's ask your students a few questions." A big, burly man in his 40s without a single speck of white in his short hair or his disheveled beard appeared behind him.

This man was wearing a yellow robe with a golden layer as well. 'Sect Leader of the Tiger Sect?' he thinks.

"So, is he okay?" the male devotee of the Tiger sect spoke.

Ma Rong glanced at his body and sighed as he said, "Yes, he's fine. I'd be surprised if he wasn't okay after eating the 'Body Restructuring Pill'. Alright, Disciple, let us ask you a few questions ."

Alex just nodded.

"Tell us, what are you doing here? First up?" she asked.

"The forest? I took 3 days off from the sect to hunt in the forest." replied Alex.

“No, not-What are you doing here, in the crater, where the explosion occurred.” She asked.

"Oh. I was nearby when the explosion occurred, so I ran to this place to check what it was. After seeing the monster parents and children being attacked by wolves, I came down to protect them. While fighting with the wolves I got injured and almost died. That's when you found me." She said.

"Oh," everyone looked surprised. They all looked towards the nimble wolf corpse at the side with limbs and severed heads. Ma Rong turned around and asked him.

“So, you defeated that wolf. Then, what happened to the monster's parents and children?” Ma Rong asked. That's a question on everyone's mind.

"I don't know where the little kitten went, but the mother cat was right" she looked around to see an empty spot in the middle of the crater. The small cat, as well as the carcass of the mother cat, had disappeared from the large crater.
