Chapter 2:Tutorial

A voice rang out in Alex's head. He slowly opened his eyes to see the white absence in front of him.

'Where am I? Is this the game?' he thinks.

An adjustment menu appeared in front of him. He sees a variety of possible options and is easily overwhelmed. He looked at the Random button at the top and clicked on it without hesitation.

It created a new character with silky long black hair, a slender body, and blue eyes. "It doesn't look bad" he told himself.

He clicked OK.

He did not want to make Alex his username, but was also unable to think about it. So he chose the Random option once again.

'That doesn't sound bad, ' he thought while pressing OK.

Suddenly everything went white.

Alex finds himself surrounded by trees on all sides. Everything is so clear, real, and colorful.

"Is this really a game?" he thinks.

He looked down on himself and saw that he was wearing a simple robe and pants similar to his character.

"So what VR games are like." He was amazed by the surrounding. All his senses told him that it was real. That he was in a real place.

"What am I doing now?" he wondered and started looking around. There was no map or health bar telling him it was even a game.

Not long after, he found a small pouch tied around his belt. He tried to pick up and see what it was when suddenly, a holographic panel appeared in front of him.

The panel has a lot of boxes in it, with only 2 boxes filled. "What's this?" he wondered as he touched the first box.

[The game mostly works through voice commands. Say 'Settings' or 'Status' to open your settings or information. Your first task is to make the HP Time and Bar visible for your data from the settings. Say 'Settings' ]

A new screen appears once again that has a lot of small settings in it. He had no idea what most of them were doing when they were turned off, but he quickly found 2 settings related to HP Bar and TIME. He lights them both.

Suddenly at the top left of his gaze, a green bar appeared that represented his current HP count. In the upper right, a set of numbers appears that represent the current time.

It seems that the time in the game is the same as the time in real life.

[Congratulations have been using the settings. Later you can change different settings as you wish. Now, to check your info, say 'Status']

Another blue screen appeared in front of him. This time there was a lot of information about him.

"Oh, is this my information?" Alex looked at that status with curiosity in his eyes. But he doesn't understand what most of it means.

The tutorial screen appears again.

[Congratulations on opening your status. Here is an explanation of the meaning of each of these things.

Cultivation is your current cultivation realm and level. It shows you how much Qi you have to invest to improve cultivation, and how much chance you have of breaking through.

Body: is your potential in cultivating. This determines how far you can cultivate.The special body also provides other benefits.

Talent is your talent in cultivating. This determines how fast you can cultivate.

Spiritual Roots: Spiritual Roots represent your spiritual affinity towards the element. You can learn and use the elements you like more freely than others.

Cultivation Method: is the technique you use to cultivate. It teaches you how to gather Qi and use Qi to improve your cultivation.

Alex is totally overwhelmed now. He was unable to understand half of what was happening at the moment. He decides to play this game because his new friends tell him that this is the best one right now. So why are there so many explanations?

After he read everything, he clicked 'next'. A new set of texts emerged from the tutorial panel.

[You can use the following command.

Exit: to exit

Cultivation method: to see all the cultivation methods you have learned.

Pills: to see the list of pills you have.

Techniques: check out the various techniques you have.

Inventory: to view your inventory. (shows items from all your different bags or spatial rings)

Finally, congratulations on completing the tutorial. You can now open the crate in your inventory to obtain random techniques, weapons, pills, and cultivation methods.]

He closed the Tutorial by clicking on 'X' above. He tried to pronounce all the commands, except logout, to see if it worked. As expected, all the commands work.

“Alright then, let's see what the chest gave me. Hope it's something good.” Alex clicks the crate and a notification pops up.

He clicked 'Open'.

"Guns" he decided to check his weapon first.

The weapons panel now has new additions. From the icon, it looks like a sword. Alex clicks it and the option to complete or a description appears. He chose the description.

There is no more description than that.

"How much is his human level? Is it good or bad? Also, is there no attack bonus or anything like that? How is this a game if the item has no stats in it?" What Alex learned from the little video games she played on her home computer did not help her at all at this time.

He then checked the pills.

How to use the pill? Is there a button to use it? Alex looks at the options that come up but is unaware of what to do.

Now that he had enough Qi, he had a new [Breakthrough] option in his Budidanya.

"Ah, there it is. So I can become a cultivator now? Is that so?" Alex wondered while pressing the [Breakthrough] button.

"Oh! I need a Cultivation Method huh. In that case, let's check out my cultivation method." Alex opens the Cultivation method page and sees the book icon in the pane.

Cultivation method there is a separation on the panel that divides the panel into 2 parts. 'Learning' and 'Ready Learning'. The book is in the Readiness section.

He clicked it and two options appeared. 'Learn' and 'Description'. He clicked on the description.

Woah.20 Qi every minute? Crazy, Alex thought. "Wait? Does that mean the pills I ate were actually bad?" he was starting to regret even eating that pill now.

“Did I learn it now?” he thinks. He immediately returned to the same panel and clicked learn.

"good. Now I can make a breakthrough, right?" Alex quickly established a new method as his cultivation method. After which, he clicked on [Breakthrough]
