اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَى آلِ مُحَمد

*ONE HUNDRED CAMELS REDEMPTION*

With a "steel" heart, Abdul-Muttalib led Abdullah to a place near the well of Zamzam which was between the idols of Isaf and Na'ila. It was there that the Meccans usually made animal sacrifices to their gods. However, the community increasingly hard to prevent Abdul Muttalib from doing his intention. Finally, the hardness of his heart was broken.

"Well, but what do I do to keep the idols pleasing to me?"

"If the redemption can be done with our property, we redeem it" said Mughirah bin Abdullah of the Makhzum tribe.

After negotiations, they agreed to meet a shaman in Yathrib.

"How much is your ransom?" ask the lady shaman.

"Ten camels."

"Go back to your land. Prepare a ransom of 10 camels. Then the camel and the boy. If that comes out your son's name, add the number of camels, then vote again until the name of the camel comes out."

They returned home in relief and immediately voted with arrows. The name that came out was Abdullah. They added the camel ransom and voted again. Apparently, again the name Abdullah came out. Thus, Abdul Muttalib added and increased the number of camels. When the number of camels has reached 100, then the name of the camel comes out.

"God is pleased" cried the people.

"No" said Abdul Muttalib. "It should be done up to 3 times."

Finally, after 3 times shuffled, what came out was the name of the camel.100 camels were slaughtered and left untouched by humans and animals because they thought that the camel was for gods.

*The Descendants of Two Slaughtered People*

It is reported from the Prophet that he said,

"I am the son of two slaughtered men."

*The Yemeni Ruler*

When Abdul-Muttalib led Mecca, there was a terrible event. This incident began in Yemen, a country located far south of Mecca. At that time, Yemen was ruled by a ruler named Abraha Al Asyram.

"I don't think, why is it that every year the whole Arab nation comes to the land of Mecca?" abraha cried to his ministers.

"Paduka knew, there was a building called Kaaba. The old building was so sanctified by the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula that they could not turn away from it. That's where they go to worship the gods all year long" replied one of the ministers.

"What is so special about that old building made of coarse stone? I want our country, Yemen, to have a holy house that will make the old building in Mecca meaningless and forgotten!"

"However, is it possible that we can create a new holy house that can match the Kaaba?"

"Why not? Make a very beautiful church! Decorate with the most luxurious equipment we have! Golden gates, silver windows, sparkling marble floors!

All of them! Bring the whole building expert! I want the church to be finished in no time!"

Not long after, there stood a church as beautiful as Abraha wanted. The ruler of Yemen visited him with satisfaction.

"Look, soon, all the Arabs will come here!"

abraha said to his subordinates,

"even the Meccans will forget their old houses as soon as they see a building as beautiful as this!"

*Ma'rib* Dam*

The original inhabitants of Yemen were Sabaeans. Before the advent of Islam, Yemen was famous for the advancement of its building technology. One of the most famous buildings is the Ma'rib Dam. When this building collapsed, a large flood hit the surrounding area so that the residents were forced to move to the country
