ACTS OF APOSTLE
chapter 17

*HILFUL FUDHUL*

In addition to the war, Muhammad who was still a teenager also followed a very good agreement. The treaty became known as Hilful Fudhul.

This agreement aims to protect the rights of foreign traders who are often wronged. The originator of this agreement was the protest of a foreign trader from Yemen.

At that time, Ash bin Wa'il, a Meccan merchant, did not want to pay his debt to the merchant. The merchant composed the verse and read it in public.

This verse greatly aroused the feelings of the leaders of the Quraysh. They were worried that if allowed to continue, the foreign traders would no longer enter Mecca. Moreover, the Fijar War resulted in a split on the Quraysh side.

After the death of Abdul Munthalib, the Quraysh from other families had begun to dare to try to oppose the rule of the Quraysh government. Therefore, at the suggestion of Zubair ibn Abdul Munthalib, an uncle of Muhammad, the Quraysh of the Hashimite family, Zuhra, Taim gathered. They agreed and promised in the name of the Most Rewarding God that the Lord would be on the wrong side, until that person was helped.

The meeting took place at the home of Abdullah bin Jud'an At Taimi. The Treaty of Hilful Fudhul guarantees protection of the rights of the weak. Muhammad witnessed the covenant and loved it.

Later on, after being sent to be a Rosullullah, Muhammad said: "_I do not like to replace the covenant I was in Ibn Jud'an's house with a kind of good camel. If I'm invited now, I'll definitely refuse_"

*How big is Diyat*

Diyat is a payment of compensation.

For death/face disability total replace the loss as many as 100 camels. One foot/hand/eye so blind replaced with 50 camels.

If the face is completely deformed, the value instead is 100 camels.

Wound through the brain, 33 camels.

Deformed eyelids, 25 camels.

One finger missing/bone cracking, 15 camels.

Injuries to visible bones, 10 camels.

One dislodged tooth, 5 camels.

And so on in the detailed provisions.

Muhammad went through his teenage years by herding goats. He once said to his friends,

"Moses was sent, he herded goats. David was sent, he herded goats. I was sent to herd my family's goats in Ajyad."

While shepherding, Muhammad's mind glared,

"Who created the stars so bright? Who made the air for me to breathe? Who makes my heart beat? Who makes the sun chase after the moon and the moon chase after the sun?"

Thousands of such questions kept Muhammad busy. It made his morals so well preserved from the bad deeds that often occur in Mecca.

At that time, people worshiped statues everywhere, men and women who were not husband and wife often went alone, people did thawaf naked, binge drunk every night, and sober, and there are many other evils.

However, Muhammad wanted to go to the city to see a wedding.

"Please take care of my goats" Muhammad asked a friend of his shepherd.

"Well, it's your turn to go have fun" said Muhammad's friend.

"Over the years, we have always been in the shepherd's field like a hermit."

Muhammad entered Mecca.

At the end of the city, he saw a wedding party filled with entertainment and music.

However, Muhammad had not yet arrived at the house, his body arrived ambushed by fatigue. Muhammad sat leaning against the wall and fell into a deep sleep until morning. He could not see the spectacle at the party in the slightest.

The next day, Muhammad came to Mecca with the same intention. This time, before he arrived at the party venue, his ears heard beautiful music descending from the sky, music that was far more beautiful than all the music in this world. The music cradled Muhammad and he fell asleep again.

Since then, Muhammad was no longer interested in seeing musical performances at parties. In order to avoid the delinquency that is often made by young people his age.

Muhammad's good behavior while young made him loved and trusted by everyone until he was nicknamed *Al Amin*, meaning "The Believed".
