ACTS OF APOSTLE
chapter 10

When Halimah and Harith returned to the troupe, they saw all their comrades had got babies to take home and breastfeed.

Seeing that, Halima said to her husband,

"For God's sake, I don't want them to see me coming home without a baby. By Allah, I will go to the orphan and take it."

"It's not wrong if you want to do it. May God give us blessing through the orphans."

Finally Halimah and her husband returned to meet Aminah and took Muhammad to their hamlet. Aminah took the baby off with a feeling of relief mixed with sadness. Relieved that there was finally a parent of Muhammad, sad to have to part with him for the next two years.

"Go, Son. Mother is waiting for you here" whispered Aminah with warm cheeks filled with tears.

As he carried Muhammad, Halimah was astonished, "I did not bother to carry him, as if I had not increased the burden."

Later, Halimah breastfed Muhammad.

"Look, this baby suckles voraciously" Halimah told her husband.

After breastfeeding Muhammad, Halimah breastfed her own baby. The baby also suckled with it. After that, Muhammad and baby Halimah fell asleep.

"Our son sleeps soundly" whispered Halimah to her husband, "when before we could hardly sleep because he was fussy all night long."

That night, the two were astonished because their old camel turned out to be producing milk.

"You know, Halimah. Before this our old camel did not produce a single drop of milk" murmured Harith.

The husband of the wife drank the milk of the camel until full.

"Tonight was a beautiful night, " said Halima to Harith, "our baby is fast asleep and we can rest on a full stomach."

"By Allah, you know Halima, you have taken a blessed child."

"By Allah, I hope so too."

The environment in Bani Sa'ad is really very pure. Later the Prophet could proudly say, "I am the purest of the Arab line. For I am the son of the tribe of Quraysh who breastfeeds in the Banu Sa'ad ibn Bakr."

The blessing that little Muhammad brought did not stop there.

When on the way back to the hamlet of Bani Sa'ad, there was something surprising.

"My husband, don't you see anything strange on my donkey mount?" ask Halimah.

"As we go, this donkey goes very slowly," Harith responded, "but now he can walk fast as if tireless. In fact, the burden he carried was quite heavy."

The donkey was walking fast enough to catch up and pass the other Bani Sa'ad women who had walked first.

"Halima princess Abu Dhu'aibi!" call the women in astonishment, "wait for us! Isn't this the donkey you ride when we're gone?"

"By Allah, that is," said Halima, "this is my old donkey."

"By Allah, your donkey is getting stronger!"

When he got home, Halimah and Harith were surprised.

"Place our land!" whispered Halimah could not believe it.

"This patch of land is so green and fertile! Whereas, when we set out, there was not a patch of land more arid than this!"

"The sheep too!" harith exclaimed, "our sheep are fat and the milk is full. Now we can squeeze and drink their milk every day."

Such was the blessing they received during the upbringing of Muhammad. Two years later, the time came to return Muhammad to his mother.
