ACTS OF APOSTLE
chapter 39

*Muslims' Answers*

At that time, who became the spokesman of the Muslims was a very handsome cousin of the Prophet, Ja'far bin Abu Talib.

"Open King," Ja'far said respectfully,

"at that time, we were a foolish society, we worshipped idols, we ate carcasses, all the evils we committed, cut off relations with relatives, even with neighbors we were not good, he said, the strong oppress the weak.

Thus we were until the Lord sent a messenger from among us whom we knew his origin. He is honest, trustworthy, and clean.

He invited us to worship the Most Holy God, leaving behind stones and statues that we and our ancestors had been worshipping.

He encouraged us not to lie, to behave honestly, to have good relations with family and neighbors, to end bloodshed, and to stop other prohibited acts.

He forbade us to commit all evil and to use false words, forbade the eating of orphans' property, and forbade the defiling of clean women.

He asked us to worship God and not to associate with Him. Next, we were told to pray, zakat, and shaum (then Ja'far mentioned some Islamic provisions).

We also justify it. We are all that God has commanded. Then, all we worship is the Most Holy God, not associating Him with anything and anyone.

All that is forbidden we are away from and what we are forbidden to do. Therefore, our society is hostile to us, torturing us, and inciting us, and so that we may forsake our religion and return to idolatry so that we may justify all the evil we have done before.

Because they forced us, persecuted us, oppressed us, and prevented us from our religion, we went out, and went to this land of the Lord. Sir is our choice. It's great that we're near you, in the hope that there will be no persecution here."

Najashiyi listened with earnestness, and said, "Is the teaching of the Lord he brought you that you can read to us?"

*Maryam* Letter*

"Yes" replied Ja'far.

Then he read Maryam's letter, verses 29-33:

فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ ۖ قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّا

mary pointed to her son. They said: How are we going to talk to the little boy who is still in the swing?

Surah Maryam (19:29)

قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّا

Isa said: Verily I am a servant of Allah, He gave me the Book (Gospel) and He made me a prophet,

Surah Maryam (19:30)

and He made me a blessed man wherever I was, and He commanded me (to establish) prayer and (to fulfill) zakat as long as I lived;

Surah Maryam (19:31)

وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا

and be devoted to my mother, and He does not make me a proud, wretched man.

Surah Maryam (19:32)

وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدْتُ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّا

And peace may be bestowed upon me, on the day I was born, on the day I died and on the day I was raised to life again.

Surah Maryam (19:33)

The verses of the Qur'an confirm the Gospel. All the palace leaders were shocked. They said,

"That's the words coming out of the source that put out the words of Isa Al Masih."

Full of days, Najasyi confirmed the princes of his court,

"These words, and those brought by Moses, came out of the same source of light."

Najasyi turned to the two messengers of Quraysh,

"Go away. We're not handing them over to the gentlemen!"

Muslims look at each other with gratitude. Meanwhile, Amr bin Ash and Abdullah bin Rabi'ah walked out of the palace with gloomy faces.

"It can't be this way" complained Abdullah.

"Can't we come all the way here and then go home empty-handed and humiliated."

Amr bin Ash, who was famously good at strategy, pondered for a moment.

"I feel like I still have another strategy" he said. "However, let's go back tomorrow. Let the followers of Muhammad be pleased. Tomorrow, we'll surprise them with the question we're going to ask Najasyi."
