7 Days of Afnan Birth

After 7 days of Afnan's birth, Jay and Nadia held a thanksgiving that is Aqiqah.

It is recommended that the aqiqah be performed on the seventh day. According to the Prophet Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam,

All children are pawned with their aqiqah. The aqiqah animal is slaughtered on the seventh day after birth, the child is deforested and named. (CHR. Abu Daud 2455 and al-Albani)

Even according to Ibn Qudamah, scholars agree that animals aqiqah recommended to be slaughtered on the seventh day after birth. Ibn Qudamah said,

The scholars of madzhab hambali said that according to the sunah the animal aqiqah was slaughtered on the seventh day.We are not aware of any differences in scholars who say the aqiqah, that the animal aqiqah is recommended to be slaughtered on the seventh day.. (al-Mughni, 9/364)

Nadia and Jay bought three goats to be slaughtered and distributed to orphans, the poor and neighbors.

Nadia and Jay never once tasted the mutton. Even Nadia and Jay also bought some more goats to be made satay to eat people invited to come to his house and celebrate the seven-day birth of Afnan.

Nadia and Jay have her parents come to her aid. Jay's siblings and extended family are also on the come all.

They were chopping up grilled satay, making side dishes and cooking rice.

To feed the guests who will pray for Afnan later.

They will all come after the completion of Maghrib prayers.

They will sit in a circle and Afnan will be carried by Jay, his own father.

After that Jay will walk while holding Afnan, Jay went around so that all guests who came could cut Afnan's hair alternately while reading sholawat.

After finishing cutting Afnan's hair, Mr. Yai also prayed that the name given to their parents, Afnan Atma Purnama, could be a blessing.

After the completion of the Aqiqah event, cut the hair of the baby Afnan, and congratulate the name given by the parents. Now it's time for them to eat.

Love with the help of others has prepared food for the guests who come.

After they finished eating, they started to go home one by one and as usual, Jay and Nadia always gave them envelopes filled with money.

After all the guests came home, they also worked together to clean the house until Jay and Nadia's house could be clean as usual.. While the dishwasher and clean kitchen was done by household assistants Jay and Nadia.

Today Jay's family is all together, they're chatting here and there. While Khaleed continues to be beside Jay and Nadia just wants to continue to be next to Afnan. I don't know why Khaleed loved Afnan so much like singing his own brother.

After 9 p.m., they started coming home one by one. Up to now live Jay and Nadia and their children.

All his assistants had also finished cleaning and now they had rest in their rooms.

Afnan had been sleeping, Nadia put it on the bed bought by Taufiq at the birth of Afnan. And Afnan slept one room with them. Afnan's bed is also beside Nadia, so that when Afnan cries, Nadia can immediately hold him and suckle him.

Afnan sometimes wake up in the middle of the night to make Nadia sleep a little disturbed but it is the happiness of a mother. And Nadia never complained a bit.

Nadia enjoys her role as a wife and also as a mother.
