How Small Is This World?

The next day, Vita and Yudha headed to the TPU (Public Burial Place) according to her promise yesterday while they were still in the hospital.

“Actually we can go there sometime, considering your condition has not recovered properly,” Yudha said when they were almost on the scene. “But I can ban you?”

“I have already promised, Mas,” replied Vita smiled. “Don't worry, I'm fine.”

“Yes already, anyways have arrived here as well, there is no way I would invite you back,” said Yudha finally relented.

The car started entering the TPU, then headed to the car park. Both men descended to the location where the grave of his son was located.

“I kind of forgot to remember the place, Mas,” said Vita looking around. Yudha cursed him, because lately Vita was busy at home until they rarely visited. But that doesn't mean they forget it— absolutely doesn't. Because their prayers to Albyna never break.

“That,” Yudha pointed at the headstone that was on her left.

‘Albyna bint H. Yudha Al Fatir, Lc.’

“Can you squat?” asked Yudha who forgot to borrow a seat in the post. Vita, who was only silent, made Yudha deduce herself about the ability of his wife. “Ya already, you just stand.”

Yudha crouched down and began to recite prayers for her first daughter. The breeze began to blow their bodies, making the white clothes both fly. Along with the tears that flow.

‘Hai Albyna, this is Mama. Happy five years, son. Sorry, we were late in saying it. But so far, we've never forgotten you. You are still our first daughter who we will always pray for the best.’ Vita rubbed her tears that kept falling. He felt sorry for this child because he could not feel the beauty loved by his parents.

Vita doesn't care who Albyna's fruit of love is and from which womb she was born. He was a baby born in a holy state.

‘Pall there yes, good boy. Help your mother pray from there to get her back on the right path. Know that your mother is mistaken, Yudha's inner’ also says a prayer.' He rubbed the headstone before finally standing up to kiss his wife on the cheek.

“Kok you even kiss me?”

“Vice,” said Yudha chuckled, seeing his wife and his child's headstone alternately. “I can't kiss her, so I just kiss her mom.”

Vita smile, “You mah, mode.”

Not far from them stood Rahma who was also standing looking at the two of them. The woman chose to wait until they were truly gone rather than having to meet let alone greet him. Uh, ogah!

“What a narrow thing, this world. Wonder why I have to see them both again. Why did they come here?” murmured Rahma very furious, “ck! Very less work. Sook well. My son died in a state of holiness, not needing prayers from dirty people like you.”

After Vita and Yudha left, Rahma headed there. He's not praying. Just crying and telling all his complaints to the deceased child.

“What you know, By. Your stepfather is sick now. The pain is getting worse. Mama wants to follow you, By. The world is too cruel for Mama.”

The sentence repeated itself from his mouth, although he repeatedly realized that his words were a mistake. Because there are still two sisters Albyna that he must bear his future. Especially Dirly who still depends on his ASI life.

The phone rang making Rahma quickly open her bag. Afraid that it was important news from home.

“Oh, Sinta. I thought sister,” muttered when she saw the phone screen.

“Rah, I have a job if you want. You need money ‘kan?” said a woman from across.

“Iya, really need. Than I sell the house or sell the car. It's a basic necessity that I can't sell, Sin. I need a vehicle to go everywhere.”

“But so far you still have a baby sitter?”

“Still.”

“Okay. Means you are safe if for example at any time later they you stay away.”

“Di Hotel Avenz*l only later tonight.”

Calls are closed. Rahma stared blankly at the sky. His mind was glaring, imagining everything.

‘I'm ready with whatever happens to me going forward.’

Time feels so short that unconscious now the age of Dara's womb has stepped on four months and Vita almost nine months. The two women met more and more often, even almost every day because sometimes—Dara even deliberately asked to stay at home umi-in-law even though they already have their own home.

“So you built the house of his intention for what exactly? Create display?” abah Haikal asked his second son when he was behind. Previously, they were discussing all businesses that can still operate in the midst of a pandemic like today.

“Not that, Bah. Looks like Dara is indeed safer here for a while. Especially if my son is born. He must still not be able to take care of himself.”

“Sell your house or rent, rather than redundant. It could later become a den of demons.”

“Astaghfirullah,” Sontak Alif call not accept his house is said to be a nest of demons.

“Home that has long been rarely occupied is like that. What are you astonished.” Abah doesn't want to lose.

Not long after, Umi Ros came to bring her a drink. “Umi search turns out you are here,” he said while putting a tray on the table.

“What's up, Hj. Rosyadah Eminata?” ask Alif.

“Your sins, same old man so,” grumbled Umi Ros. “I curse to be tempe, just found out you.”

“Lah, indeed his name is Rosyadah Eminata,” this time Abah Haikal defended Alif. “Since when is your name changed to Toukiyem?”

Umi cheated on her husband who was less cool.

“Begini,” said Umi moments after sitting next to Alif and staring at his son. “The content of your wife will be four months, so the plan, Umi will hold four months.”

“There is a need?” alif sounded ridiculous.

“What is this stupid of our son, Bah?” ask Umi Ros to her husband. “What not to know. What does he know?”

‘I only make,’ Inner Alif while smiling. His mind suddenly wandered to a place with Dara.

“In addition to this a tradition, the four-month schedule is indeed necessary. As a form of gratitude as well as asking for protection from God, so that the baby in the womb is always given salvation until birth,” said Abah Haikal explained why this event should be done.

Umi added, “Also prayed by many people, so that your child will become a godly child or pioushah.”

“Alif thought it was just for tradition only, not done nor does it matter.”

“But it's best to keep doing, don't just look from your own point of view. Your in-laws will be angry because they think their daughter and granddaughter are not noticed.” Abah Haikal always taught his children from different perspectives, to be someone else so that they can both understand.

“Ya already, it's up to Umi only,” Alif said finally.

“Is Mr Hilman cured?” ask Umi Ros. “If you have, we can invite them here. Razka will soon be at the end of the semester. All of you invite them on vacation. if you want to stay here too many empty rooms.”

Alif just nodded. Frankly, he wasn't too comfortable if his father-in-law had been here for too long. He was too stiff to talk or chat because of the problems that had existed between them. But for the sake of Dara .. what can I do?
