Both of them had arrived in front of Vita's house. A simple house in the middle of a salak plantation. The place is because there are so many trees. While the distance from one house to another is quite far away, the smell of poverty is still felt. The temperature there is very cold. Yudha had thought this room uses AC, it was natural from nature.
“How about your car?” and Vita asked Yudha when they came into the house. But with the condition of Vita who was swept because it was still difficult to walk.
“Before leaving already marginalized by the youths here.”
“So you asked for help with them?” ask Vita with an unusual look.
“Of course I asked them for help. Then who else? There were only them at that time. It's very quiet here.”
“They are a group of naughty youths. You see his clothes. Every day their work was just hanging out in front of the shop while targeting the prey. Indiscriminate. Male, female, or elderly though.” Vita explained it with a face full of anger.
“Price how?” ask Yudha.
“You pretended not to know or was plain anyway?” ask Vita wonder. “Maybe your wallet is also pickpocketed with them.”
“I've thought before.”
“Then why are you silent?”
“I found out my wallet went missing after they left. Where should I pursue?”
“They should be taught a lesson!” vita said gruntly.
“Ya, it's up to you.”
“Why whatever? You don't love your wallet and your phone?”
“Then how else, I just myself, they're a lot. I still love my life.”
Vita only stared at Yudha at a glance, then turned her gaze again after she understood the situation of Yudha at that time.
“I heard you live alone, your father died?” Yudha asked a question.
Vita nodded. “He killed himself due to stress of his wife's death.”
“What is so thin about the faith of the people here that just losing it makes them commit suicide? Don't we know, the life we have is not ours,” Yudha explained excitedly. “I don't think about the people here. What else with those broken youth.”
“Yes, that is,” replied Vita did not want to explain further. He was already full of facing it every day and did not really bother about it because he was used to it.
“You are a girl, living here alone with your surroundings like this. Not afraid?”
“It is precisely those who are afraid of me,” Vita said earnestly. From the looks through her face and appearance, it seemed that Vita was a brave girl.
“How old are you?”
“Do I need to answer?”
“I just pity. You are still young but no longer have parents.”
“Twenty,” Reply Vita briefly. It is very different from Yudha who is very mature.
“Then what is your destination to this place?” Vita asked again.
“I want to go to Kyai Hasyim home asyari.”
“Kyai Hashim?” re-enact Vita asked. “Kyai it is in the village next door,” he explained.
“Ya, I'm lost.” Then Yudha explained what his purpose was to Kyai Hashim's place. This trip started in Jakarta. Last night, Yudha left without permission from her parents to go see Kyai Hasyim, her former boarding teacher, to a village in central Java. In addition to being in touch, she was invited to the wedding reception of one of her male friends. But because the map on his phone is err—makes him lost somewhere and ends so.
“Perhaps this is due to me leaving without permission from both parents,” Yudha said.
Not only Yudha, Vita also explained that she was an orphan who had only been left dead for a few weeks by her father and mother. His mother died of illness, while his father committed suicide due to the stress of losing his wife too much. Therefore, he made his own living by placing his homemade cakes in nearby stalls. Like what he did today. But unfortunately, because this incident made him unable to do his work again until he was completely healed and returned to normal walking again as usual.
“I will immediately seek help,” said Yuda then who is now much more familiar with Vita.
But of course can not do it today because the day has begun in the afternoon. Yudha would leave the house the next day after sleeping in the living room with only a mat.
“If Mas Yudha wants to contact the family, actually I have a mobile phone though .. old school,” said Vita was put down at the end of the sentence because of embarrassment.
“But I didn't memorize a single number in my family.”
“Mas Yudha wants to go now?” ask Vita after they finish breakfast.
“Iya, show where Mr. RT's home is here.”
“Pak RT here dumb and somewhat deaf. Apparently that's a lot of nonsense, but his brain is empty. It was free for Mas Yudha to meet him to ask many things. He won't understand.”
“Yes Allah. Why isn't anyone right the people in this village?” yudha's growls held back emotions. “So I have to ask for help who?”
“Begin only, Mas Yudha directly to Kyai Hasyim's house only. Mas Yudha straight road, later if there is a fork turn left, there is another crossroad turn right, if there is another crossroad turn left, just ask the local residents where the house. Pretty far away and sorry I couldn't deliver you because my condition hasn't recovered.”
“Pusing,” complained Yudha made Vita chuckle.
“Mas Yudha can ride ojek,” said Vita later. “There's money?” he said he wanted to help.
“Maybe still be in the car. You don't have to worry.”
“Don't lie about feeling bad for me.” Vita took Yudha's hand and gave the money to Yudha.
“Vita!” yudha refused.
“Take it, I'm lazy to be noisy,” said Vita relaxed.
“But maybe you need it.”
“You need it more,” said Vita did not want to lose. “Take it and quickly find help. So that tomorrow Mas Yudha no longer hurts to sleep on the floor like last night.”
“Sorry Vita, I've troubled you many times. Thank you, Vita.”
Vita just cleared her throat.
Yudha came out of the house after greeting, but was ill. While he was wearing footwear, a group of people there stopped his activities.
“Hey, where are you going?” ask one of them.
“I want to go, what's up, Sir?” yudha asked not to understand.
“What did you guys do last night? Sleeping two houses.”
Yudha immediately cut, did not accept being accused of that. “Eh, don't get me wrong, gentlemen. I did hitchhike sleeping here, but we slept separately.” Let alone adultery, knowing each other no, Yudha's mind is eager to throw.
“Long!” chirps one of the citizens excited. “We just drag these two people to Pak RT! Cannot harvest our village if there is a couple this left!”
They have confidence, if they find a pair of adulterous young men in their village, then all the citizens will be exposed to bad luck. The soil becomes infertile and the plants become unharvestable. In fact, the wrath of God is not only because of that, but also because of the distance between the forehead and the place of prostration. The understanding of these people is clearly still a lot wrong. There is no touch of azan let alone study, so almost all of its citizens behave a little misguided.
Vita who had started to feel uncomfortable immediately came out. “What is this, sir? Why rame-rame?” tanyakanya.
“You committed adultery ‘kan overnight?”
“Do not original recriminate, yes!”
“Don't trust him, sir! How do you confess? That's proof her hair is wet!” one of them pointed at Vita's half-wet hair.
“I do shampoo, but that doesn't mean I do dirty things. Just shampooing alone can not be used as a reference that we have really committed adultery,” replied Vita in self-defense.
Yudha immediately replied, “Let me explain, Sir.”
“Alaaah, we don't believe it! Right gentlemen?”
All shouted judgmentally. Without really being able to give up, eventually they were not able to be led to the house of Mr. RT who he said was stupid, then married religiously.
“Basic occult village,” Yudha swore after the wedding it really happened.
