We're Going Now

From far away the eye looked, a thick fog was seen descending down the hill. Cool and fresh panorama wrapped in comfort. Inhaled a very wide air unheard of. The bright green scenery complements the sense scope. The sunlight penetrated the window of the small house, until the audience mengu mum smile. A beautiful man glared. Until now, he had not believed that he could get lost here and become the husband of the girl he had only known for a few days.

Yudha stopped her admiring activities around, then looked back, watching her busy wife herself with her food. “Morning already eat fruit?”

“Ingin,” says Vita replied. One water guava was in his hand that had been bitten in half.

As usual, in the morning, they must be faced with a warm drink to warm their cold bodies.

“I just found out that in Indo there is an area this cold.”

“Hmm.” Vita just cleared her throat. For him, this was a scene he used to experience every day. But for Yudha this was a great amazement.

“Fog also still looks very thick.”

Vita did not heed Yudha too much. He was busy filling his already deeply rattled stomach. The energy really felt like it was drained from overnight activity.

“Busy once,” Yudha said as she chuckled softly.

“Mau?” Vita held out her hand. But Yudha shook her head and preferred to drink tea.

“Where are you picking this from?”

Vita's hand pointed to the front of the house.

“Oh that one? Can you climb a tree?”

Vita nodded. He had to climb earlier, because if the ripe fruit falls to the ground, it will shatter its shape. Luckily the tree was not very tall.

The two had a small talk that Vita did not really take into her heart except just to respond. Until one day, Yudha's discussion led to his existence here which was felt to have been very long.

“I've been here fifteen days,” he said with a sad face. The man stared blankly at a human who had lost a lot of things. “I have been unemployed for a long time. There's a lot I left there. Surely the state of the office has also been carut marut.”

Sontak Vita stopped eating and chose to put the rest in the trash. His feelings suddenly became unpleasant so he chose silence to listen more.

Yudha had indeed told him that he had a Tour and Travel business that was managed by the family for generations. Muslim travel businesses that send pilgrims to Umrah plus and Muslim tourism to various countries. During this time, Yudha managed the business together with her sister named Alif Noran. In fact, not infrequently they take turns to be a tour leader or tour guide, depending on where they are assigned.

Yudha clasped Vita's hand and looked into her eyes fixedly, then spoke very carefully. “Cute with me. We'll stay there.”

Vita looked at her husband. A little while Vita was silent until finally he answered Yudha's words with a soft word. “Can I just be here?”

“You know where Jakarta is?” tanya Yudha, then added, “Very far away. It's not safe for you to stay alone.”

“I can take care of myself.” Vita was afraid of all the possibilities she would face later. But he also could not lie that he did not want to be far from Yudha. The man who had been filling his heart and decorating his lonely days by himself.

Yudha. “Didn't you want to meet your in-laws there?”

“That's what I'm afraid of,” replied Vita sadly. “What happens if they see his son who has long gone, know-how to come home with a wife?”

“Will I explain to them.” Yudha rubbed Vita's cheeks and lightened her unraveling hair. “You're my wife, right?”

Vita did not answer and instead docked and close her body in the chest of her husband's field. Indeed, in his deepest heart he was very afraid of loss.

They were silent for a long time before Yudha spoke again. “It is very reasonable if at first they will be surprised. Like parents, you would be surprised to find your son that way. And it is not impossible that they will also suspect things that are not-not with me. But slowly they will accept with open arms. I know Umi and Abah very well. They are very good people and understand the state of his children.”

Vita looks up at Yudha's brown netra with hope and dreams. Then ask about something that Yudha has never really responded to. “Then how do you relate to ..” to just mention his name only Vita is not able to. “Can it be just me and you?” with lips shaking.

There was no answer coming out of Yudha's lips so that it ignited Vita's anger at that moment—until a few small blows landed on her chest that were received with a chest of air. It ends with hugging and crying at the same time. But Vita was somewhat relieved because at that time Yudha whispered a word in her ear that she was beginning to love him.

Can't distinguish Yudha's confession, whether it's just pretending to calm her down or a real confession. But for a moment he thought, there is no point in opposing circumstances that are often impartial, such is what often happens and can never be understood.

As a consolation, Yudha invited him to take a walk around the city. Various kinds of tours they visit like people who are drunk on dating. They also entered shopping malls to buy clothes and food.

“You've been to this place?” asked Yudha when they were in a cafe to just unravel tired after circling a large building.

Vita first sipped a drink in front of him. Soon he replied, “Salah .. used to be the same Dad often went for a walk. But when mom was alive. I was also a child in my tens.”

“Car ride coak.”

“Have you?”

Vita nodded. “Iya, he once had the car to transport the harvest of local residents. Our economy improved, but not for long. Because when the mother was seriously ill, the car was sold for a fee.”

Yudha nodded. But it does not seem good to continue this conversation because it can change the atmosphere to melancholy. Far from being expected that he would please her today. “What else do you want to buy?” he switched the conversation.

Vita shakes.

“You coming home or want to stop by?”

“Rome.”

“Yakin? Don't want to go for another walk?”

“I don't really like traveling. Don't equate me to most women.”

Yudha smiled. They join hands to go home. Arriving at home, the two were still teasing each other. Even Vita herself had begun to dare tease him first by kissing her husband's cheek.

“You lured me,” said he was annoyed by his wife's actions. With a quick motion he pulled Vita into his lap, then kissed her hand as usual. But then Yudha interrupted the shocking word. “Bau terasi.”

Vita suddenly pulled her hand and kissed her own with a panicked look on her face. “You lied,” he said grumbling. “Which smells terasi?”

Out of annoyance, Vita tickled Yudha's waist and Yudha did the same. “Feel this!”

The two of them dissolved in laughter, until finally, Yudha's cell phone rang to stop their happiness.

“In a moment, I picked up the phone.”

“From whom?” ask Vita curiously.

“Alif.” Yudha showed her phone screen before the man shifted the call icon. “Halo, Lif?”

“Bang, hurry home. Umi sick.” Alif's voice sounded panicked, making Yudha too.

“What pain?”

“He was admitted to hospital today his tension was so low that he fainted twice.”

“You've come home?” yudha asked because a few days ago, Umi said that she led pilgrims to Mecca.

“New coincidences until this morning. Hurry home, Bang. You need to explain what's going on with you to Abah. He suspects. I feel like you're not right there.”

Yudha did not want to explain it on this phone connection because it can cause misunderstandings, then she replied, “Yes, I came home tonight,” said Yudha finally cut off the connection.

“Detach your clothes immediately. Make sure your letters do not get left behind,” Yudha's order for Vita to come with him.

“What should this time also? It's almost night,” said Vita disagreed.

“We leave tonight so as not to get there too late. Umi's sick, I'm afraid anything will happen to her.” Seeing Vita never leave his lap makes Yudha amazed. “Why?”

“I'm afraid.”

Afraid that my heart will not accept all the possibilities that will happen.

“Do not fear.” Yudha instilled in his wife confidence.
