I'm Escaping From Home

Dara's car just stopped in front of the house after a few minutes ago Vita called to pick her up.

Vita was forced to contact the girl because she no longer knows who to ask for help to whom—let alone the closest person like Alif for example. It can even ruin all his plans. After all, Dara had offered himself last afternoon to take him there if Vita wanted to. And it just so happened that he was supporting her because she was empty. There is no order.

After making sure the door was tightly closed and the house was safe to leave, Vita immediately went out to meet Dara. His steps felt heavy leaving this place. Especially if he remembers the kindness of his in-laws. Frankly, Vita already loved him very much and already considered them like his own parents. But he had no other choice for it.

‘You have the control to get up, to change things. You can have a better life. You deserve a man who is afraid to hurt you.’

There are not many items that Vita brought, because Vita does not have many clothes. She is not a woman who likes to shop. There is only one bag containing clothes and another handbag containing identity and valuables.

After putting her bag in the middle seat, Vita chose to sit in the front seat. Right next to Dara.

“Doamu. Because we can meet again now,” said Dara as soon as Vita closed the car door.

“Iya, you are right.”

“Nothing left, Ta?” dara asked while chugging a bottle of bottled water until it was halved. “Have the same permission .. husband or parent goods times? Sorry, I asked like this because your house is quiet,”.

“I'm running away, Dar,” replied Vita as is. “Mumped my husband is not home.”

“Eh, seriously?” Dara blinked repeatedly. “Later I could be a suspect, loh.”

“Quiet. You won't be involved. You just I paid to take me to Terminal, that's it.”

“Good, we're on the road now, yeah. We have to get there quickly so you can get a ticket. The time has been very tight. Maximum of eight.” hours Dara said so while looking at the watch on her left hand. “Soalnya nine Terminal is empty. That's how I know.”

“Still, Dara.”

Dara did not reply, she only smiled.

‘I go, Mas Yudha .. I will never forget your kindness. Not everything you give is a piece of hurt. There are times when I feel happy when we are together and I enjoy those moments with you. You are good, only your mind is worried and afraid to decide. I want you to be with him, Mom. Blessed you. This circle makes us even more tortured if there is no one of us who wants to give up.’

Vita. The car drove away from the complex which had been his residence for two months. In the darkness of the car, again Vita shed tears.

“You've got more problems huh, Ta?” dara asked breaking the silence. But his eyes were focused on the streets. Dara's driving is very smooth and looks very careful so Vita feels comfortable. It was very different compared to the other cars. “Kok to blur everything, indeed it can not be resolved properly? I'm sorry I didn't interfere, but I pity to see you. You look a lot of burden.”

“Can look the same to you huh, Dar?” Vita asked back.

“Yes, that's what I saw. Don't know if anyone else.”

“This is a household issue, Dar. It might not be appropriate to tell because this is a disgrace. But I tell you enough of the outline. I'm combined and I can't be treated like this.”

“Yes geez. Just imagine that I already feel crowded,” said Dara turned a glance.

“The story is very long.”

“Yes, I can describe it. You are not alone, Ta. There are so many women who have the same fate as you. I'm sure you can get through it.”

“I thought the wedding was weird, Dar. Only those who are married can feel it.”

“What does it like for example?” ask Dara later.

Vita answered clearly, “Whatever happens, the fact is we can't break away from each other. No matter how angry we are, no matter how great the quarrel, the husband or wife will still go home and sleep together. I'm like I'm stuck in a circle of fate that's tearing up, so it's hard for me to break free.”

“Your words can be different if you don't love her,” said Dara who was justified by a woman beside her.

Vita smiled wryly, “But unfortunately she does not love me.”

“I don't want to say you—fool, maaf—once. It's your business and only you know. But I think being tied to a guy who doesn't feel the same way as you, it just destroys you mentally. Trust.”

“Yes, you're right, Dar. I'm feeling it.”

“There must be a sweet at the end of that bitter taste, Ta. Isn't bitter healing in nature?”

Vita smiles. “You are wise once.”

Dara turned back, “Anyway, you don't have a child yet ‘kan?”

“I'm pregnant,” Oiled Vita.

“What?” dara asked with slightly widened eyes. It was obvious that he was surprised. This woman who was next to him. Escape in a state of being pregnant. “Your husband knows?”

“I purposely hid it.”

“Are you sure you can live without it under these circumstances?”

“Yes, I believe. Your face reassures.” Dara rubbed her shoulders trying to provide support. “Propay, yes.”

Vita smiled and nodded.

As a fellow woman, Dara felt compassion for the fate of the woman next to her. Actually he wanted to ask further, but he did not feel good to pry deeper—more they are not too familiar. Dara was afraid that Vita would become uncomfortable with her.

Arriving at the Terminal, Dara accompanied him to find a bus that headed to Banjar City. Many buses had left at that time because the day was getting night. But there are still some remaining buses that are still lined up waiting for full passenger seats.

“Where to, Ma'am?” ask one of the Light Bus crew.

“Banjar, Sir.”

“Economy or business?”

“Business,” replied Dara again.

“There is still a heck, but there are only two seats left,” replied the officer. “That's the car,” he said showing. “Should have come early to get a slightly front seat.”

“Nothing, Sir,” said Vita later. “I bought all two seats so the bus can go directly to.”

“OK, ready. So a total of three hundred and fifty thousand.”

Vita nodded and took out some money to pay. Intentionally he bought two seats, in addition to this bus to leave quickly, he also did not want to be accompanied by any passengers. He was more comfortable sitting on his own so he could rest more freely, he thought.

“I got here only yes, Ta,” said Dara while holding out her bag.

Dara was already like a protector to him at this moment. In her heart, Vita promises to never forget the kindness of her heart.

“Once again thanks, Dar. We can still meet sometime, right?”

“Casual ... we will exist ...” Dara bends her three middle fingers inward to leave her thumb and pinky fingers alone, then attaches them to the ear.

Vita smiles. Then he got on the bus and waved his hand. Walk carefully towards the empty seat located at the very back.

Vita chose to sit on the edge of the chair near the glass so that he could more easily see the outside. While the bag is placed in the other seat. The world is really dark right now.

The rain fell freely making the depth of the bus feel very cold. Or maybe just his feelings?

Taking the jacket from the bag, Vita covered half of her body to make it feel warmer. But the cold instead made him a flasback a few months ago at his house when they had just done the first night.

“But from now on you won't be cold anymore. Because you will always be in my warmth at all times,” Yudha said as he promised.

But in fact, Yudha lied to him. He shared that warmth with other women.

‘Is it now, people out there who fared exactly like me?’ ask Vita in her heart. ‘I'm lonely ... lost many people I love, fell in love with the wrong person, not expected by my own husband.’

Again the saltwater spewed out uncontrollably.

‘I know many people whose fate may be more miserable than mine. Why do I still feel alone? Stranded and walking in the quietest place in the world. I have dreams and hopes just like them. But who can understand me? Understand and help me get out of the swirling emotions. I felt a tremendous doubt and fear in loving her, so I felt like this self was almost crazy ..’.

His one hand felt into his stomach to give a loving swab. “Sorry Dear .. I haven't been able to provide a complete family for you. Maybe someday you will find him. I promise I'll never make you feel like you lost a father figure.”

A few minutes passed. The car began to walk away from its base. Vita positioned her body to find the most comfortable position.

His head leaned back and his eyes began to close. But when the bus started to leave the terminal, suddenly the bus stopped.

Vita didn't pay much attention to it. Maybe there is a little constraint or there is a re-check, he thought so.

But who would have thought, the moment he opened his eyes, there was a man before him. Seeing him with anger.

“Go home!” he said it was indisputable.
