Moving to the Capital

Chapter 23

A new funeral can be done the next day because last night heavy rain accompanied by thunderous lightning. So all night, all they do is teach on the spot. It was only the next morning that everyone seemed to be in a hurry to bring the deceased to where they should be.

Some people had just left the cemetery, leaving only the nuclear family. Kauman, Dawiya, Ros and Haikal. As for the children, they leave it temporarily to the house person to take care of it until they return.

The sadness was still very much reflected on Haikal's face. Ros understood that very well even though her husband did not let out a cry.

“Kal, Bundo's father came home first,” said Dawiya patted his son's shoulder who nodded.

“Ros, we go home first, yes.” This time Dawiya looked at his daughter-in-law.

“Iya, Bun. Maybe we'll be in a minute.”

Dawiya whispered before leaving, “Please persuade your husband to come home, pity your children at home.”

After they left, Ros rubbed the back of Haikal who was still standing looking at the land that had just buried his second wife—without wanting to take his eyes off in the slightest.

“It is not easy to let someone we love go. Same as me. And I also hope, someday will never lose you again,” said Ros broke the silence.

Haikal immediately turned his head, his lips smiled and grabbed the hand of his first wife, “Another woman, would probably leave if her husband chose to remarry whatever the reason. But amazingly you still remain loyal to my side. That's what makes me even more proud and feel so loved.”

“I know you are not doing it for your own sake,” reply Ros further tighten their hand grip, “again also big loss if I go. Moreover, there have been two tuyul out in our lives. Even the first word that came out of the lips of our first child was not me, but “Abi, here, Bi. Main, Bi,” Ros imitate Yudha's speech style, “sebal.”

Haikal. Indiscriminate. The seed is said to be tuyul.

“But the promise after this do not marry again, yes.”

“Not going,” I'm tired Haikal continued in his heart. There's no way he's out here because it can hurt the heart of Naya who saw it, “We go home?”

“Serah, if you still want here yes, please. I'll bring you a mattress.”

“Your name?”

“Malas!” cebik Ros pretended to be annoyed, he took a step ahead of him, but Haikal instead chased after him and pinched his waist.

“Don't hurry the path.”

“What's the reason?”

“Mau dating.”

“Take a date in the grave,” kekeh Ros feel funny.

Two people who have equal love walk side by side and look at each other in a smile.

“The test of our love is over, Ros. Your patience has paid off,” Haikal said as they began to move away from the starting point.

Ros nodded with eyes moist, there was a sense of haru and happy because now he was the only one. But sad because it has to be this way. Indeed, he also loved Naya, making friends with her was also very pleasant. It's just that, they can't lie to themselves to be okay when faced with the reality—that they are the wives of the same one person.

No matter how many people passed by, Haikal hugged his wife and kissed her forehead deeply. In the scorching sun, the two of them walked to each other holding hands and loving each other.

“I love you in every breath.”

“Moreover me,” reply Ros getting sobbing.

“Please promise to always accompany me to old age, until our children mature, marry, and born our descendants later.”

“Until death arrives, I will remain faithful to accompany you, Bi.”

Trials and trials are an inevitability that all servants will inevitably experience. When trouble comes, it does not mean that God is turning away. But just the opposite.

God always gives problems to his servants is not without solutions, in the Quran clearly Allah says that to get help, then be patient and pray to remember Him is the solution.

God reminds us not to lament fate, not to be weak and crybaby.

Sometimes, we are faced with a reality that is completely incompatible with our will. However, sincere and prejudiced learning is important. Because, we never know, “... You may hate something, but it is good for you, and you may like something, even though it is bad for you. Allah knows, while you do not know.”  QS. Al-Baqarah [2:216]

Towards the age of 33, Haikal finally decided to move to the Capital. Given there, it is easiest for entrepreneurs to get opportunities. He felt like he had not succeeded here.

This decision was unfortunate by Kauman and Dawiya, moreover, they were having fun having grandchildren. However, they cannot prohibit their children from achieving their goals, because they want an independent and better life.

With Arok and his wife. Separated from Banyan to Pariaman it feels so heavy, especially if separated to different islands?

But after persuading and promising many things, the decision was finally approved.

“Now, there is Hp, Bun. We can be patient whenever we want,” said Ros as they say goodbye.

“Be careful if you forget your parents, Mother curse so tempe!”

“Enak, uh.” Ros chuckled at hearing it.

East Jakarta, is the city of their choice to settle. They are equipped with capital and also property to build their own house. The goal is, so that their grandchildren immediately find a comfortable place.

A few years later, a travel agency company with the name Al Fatir was built that stood there although in the end—akan drowned with other buildings as time went on. Because of the development there, it is growing very rapidly.

Accompanied by his wife, Haikal's efforts got a lot of achievements in his day. They opened two other branches outside the city.

His two children are grown. Tall and dashing like himself, but has a blend of faces between the two of them.

As a teenager, Yudha was put into the Kyai Hasyim Ashari pesantren to keep his promise to him, who was still in the city.

While Alif himself refused to be put in there and preferred to continue his education in private schools. Both children love freedom. He doesn't like to be too restrained in such an environment, which he thinks, is quite terrible.

After graduation, Yudha continued her S1 education in Yemen and returned with an LC degree. Alif, continue his studies in Jakarta only. Although there was an intention to continue his S2 abroad, but not delivered because at that time still too much thought so that it ended so.

Yudha did indeed continue her S2 again to the country, but until the middle, she had to return due to urgent matters. Because Abah was sick. And it was the first time he had been ill for such a long time that he had to stop here.

“My age, may not be young anymore. So you're the one who will replace me running the business that I've built with great difficulty,” Haikal told Yudha in front of Alif as well.

There was no envy or envy in Alif seeing his brother who was most trusted by his Abah. But instead he is grateful because it means he is not given more responsibility.

“Good, Bah. Pray that I can run the trust,” replied Yudha who was forced to stop continuing her S2 for the sake of her father.

Umi Ros is proud of all her children. Even to this day, too. The woman never stopped mentioning Naya in her prayers. Sometimes he conveyed a message to his two children, that Umi Naya also loved them very much.

“Don't forget, always pray for him after the break of prayer,” he said to his two children.

“Iya, Mi,” Yudha replied.

“Alif?” reprimand Umi Ros because Alif is silent.

“Yaaaa...” replied Alif in a long tone. Inwardly, he was very proud of his own Abah and the success he had achieved so far. But there is another side that he never received, namely his polygamy—because he thought, meaning Abah never hurt Uminya himself.
