“Have you thought about this big decision?” asked Umi when she heard the words of her son who was about to get married again.

“Already, Mi,” replied Yudha with certainty. Seeing his mediocre facial expression made him then ask, “Umi not surprised or angry?”

“For what angry?” he smiled and stared in the shade as usual. “If you can be honest, frankly, Umi was more surprised when she heard you were married there with other women besides Rahma. Umi knows how you guys are without you telling me. Umi is also calmer if you marry Rahma— like our previous family plans. Because we know them well, however. But what we're saying is, we can't resist when you bring Vita back to this house, and we'll still take it as well as a daughter-in-law should. Protect and love him also like our own son.”

“Thank you for understanding Umi.” Yudha smiled.

“How about Vita, have you guys talked about it?”

“Vita already knows, Yudha had a relationship with Rahma before. But he does not yet know about this decision.”

“So since last night you haven't seen him, pity he's waiting for you. And keep calling you. Where were you last night?”

“Yudha needs time to be alone,” Yudha replied without wanting to say that she had stayed at the Station to calm down. This should not be disclosed because it can make him ashamed.

“But next time don't be like that, you can give him news even if you just say that you are fine,” Umi said while rubbing the back of her son's hand. “Come out after this, have her talk.”

Yudha nodded.

“Is Mother Nely mad at you?”

“At first yes. It is natural that they are angry. But now it is no longer after Yudha explained.”

“It will surely be a shock to hear your decision, but we also cannot say anything much less forbid you, because this is your choice of life. As parents, we can only advise, direct the best. Umi believes in you, whatever decision you will make, you must have thought carefully and know all the consequences.” For this time Umi Ros emphasized the sentence more. “Remember. Two wives do not always make all men happy because they have different rooms. All humans have a great jealousy.”

Yudha was silent, for he listened to all his explanations.

“Umi dear with both of them. Rahma and Vita are good girls. Umi knows you love Rahma very much, but Umi hopes you will still be fair to them. Even though it's hard, do your best.”

Yudha kissed Uminya's hand. “Please pray the blessing of Umi. May Yudha be like Abah who is fair to Umi and also Umi Naya.”

“Yes, Umi bless you.”

Abah Haikal Al Fatir has two wives. It's just that the first wife had died a few years ago because of her old age. Unlike Yudha, Abah married the woman because he wanted to help her because she was an old widow, had no children and lived a long life.

And Yudha? It cannot be explained what is the right reason for the man to remarry. Because of pity, or love? Or because of naf su?

I don't know, only he and God know.

Pause for about several tens of minutes, the door of the room sounded knocked.

“Ya login!” yell out Umi from inside.

Shortly afterwards, the hijab-wearing woman poked out from behind the door, “Assalamualaikum.”

“Waalaikumsalam,” replied Umi and Yudha together. Yudha stood up and let Rahma approach Uminya.

“Rahma just found out Umi came home, last time Kak Yudha notified me via message,” Rahma said while putting fruit parcels to a spacious table. “Yes right, Brother?” turned to look at Yudha, waiting for an answer.

“Iya.” Yudha smiled.

“If you know from morning, Rahma has come here with Mother.” The woman greeted her future father-in-law and began chatting as usual.

“Your mother wants to come here?” Umi Ros asked.

“Yes, but it looks like tomorrow, Mi. Oh, yes Umi has eaten the same take medicine?”

“Not yet, Vita was picking it up. But it looks like he's busy, until now he hasn't been here yet.”

“Ya already, let Rahma alone later who took it. But is his body?”

“Alhamdulillah already.”

While they were conversing, Yudha came out of her room, looking for Vita's whereabouts. But unfortunately, he did not find his wife anywhere let alone in his room. So he called Bi Retno to ask for Vita's whereabouts.

“Where is he, Bi?”

“He's on top, Mas. In empty rooms.”

Yudha nodded, intending to catch up with him. But his move was prevented by Bi Retno.

“Mas Yudha!” he said, shaking his head. Making Yudha look at him by raising one eyebrow. As if were asking ‘why and what's wrong with it?’

“Non Vitanya again sad, earlier already message me, so do not be disturbed first. Excuse me, Mas,” Bi Retno said again before he finally resigned from his presence.

Yudha returned to her own room to clean up. But when he opened the closet to look for a change of clothes, Yudha immediately realized that Vita's bag was not stored there anymore. That means, Vita does not want to sleep in this room anymore.

“You what's Vita?” he murmured with hardened teeth. Resisting the emotions that hit.

Until nightfall, Yudha still did not see Vita coming out of the room, so it became a question for Abah when they were at the dinner table.

“Where's your wife? Why don't you have dinner together?”

“Vita is in the room, Bah. Might want to be alone.”

Abah nodded in understanding. “He's still very young. His ego was still too high and his emotions were still unstable. He's showing it to you and just needs your attention, that's all.”

“Iya, Bah.”

“Punya one bini only make dizzy, this ambition still want to add more,” dumel Alif powerless to keep silent see the complexity of his own brother. “Abang know why motor vehicles have brakes?” everyone listened to Alif speak. “Rem is used to set the speed of the vehicle it drives. One of them is useful to stop the rotation, so as not to hit other vehicles if at any time there is a sudden cut. So also with man given by God, the controlling nature.”

“Alif!” a warning from Abah made alif speechless. “If you don't know, better silence,” Abah continued again.

“Trusting,” muttered Alif again glanced at the man next to her with an unusual romance. Yudha simply ignored the words. He can not say anything else,— which can even provoke further debate.

After dinner, Yudha went back upstairs. Uncomfortable being shunned thus, Yudha headed to the room that Vita was currently occupying. After previously he asked Bi Retno for a spare key.

Clamps. The door opened making Vita rather surprised to see his sudden arrival. The woman gave him a quick glance, then immediately turned her eyes again. Ignoring Yudha who entered freely, no matter what he would do.

Silent.

There are only clockwork ticking signs time is ticking away. Counting the silence pauses in this room without anyone wanting to start the conversation.

“You till when do you want to lock yourself in this room and shut me down?” yudha asked after about five minutes. The man sat on the edge of the bed. Behind the body of Vita who was curled up facing the outside window. “You also brought all your clothes.”

“Let me here. I just want to learn, so I can get used to it without you. Because in the future, surely my time will be divided with other women ... in your room.”

Yudha rubbed her face. Remembering his mistake. “From who do you know?”

“I heard it with my own ears,” replied Vita. Then continue, “Go. I just want to be alone. For these few days only, please don't meet me just yet.” Vita closed her blanket to the chest, then closed her eyes to forget all the problems that befell her.

A few days passed unusual for Vita who was more silent than usual. The relationship that initially tasted sweet honey now feels as bitter as bile.

Did you just move into this house a few days and turn it into a man who does not know yourself? Is he too cowardly to say sorry?

Yudha understood this attitude could not be justified but could make Vita's heart wound gaping wider. But he also has no power to release both. The feeling was indeed strange, difficult to explain and no one could figure it out except himself.

“She is on top now, meet her,” Yudha said embraced by Rahma. Today Yudha intends to bring the two of them together, so that they may know each other.

The two of them immediately found Vita when they reached the second floor. The woman stopped reading books when she saw them coming.

“Vita,” call Rahma first. He approached and looked at her with a smile. And Vita also replied to him similarly.

Vita looked at Rahma with all her body and soul. Trying to look good in front of him. The envy was so real, yet he tried to put those feelings aside.

‘Bantas Yudha loved him very much. Rahma is so perfect. Not a single part of her body was lacking in my judgment as a woman, let alone a man. Ah, what am I ...’

“When to come, Ma'am?” ask Vita about pleasantries.

“Just came with my mom. All he looks at Umi,” replied Rahma no less friendly. While Yudha distanced herself, giving the two of them a chance to talk to be more familiar. Other than that, he also did not have the heart to say about his marriage from his own mouth.

“Eh, you call me Ma'am. How many years are we different? I'm two eight.”

“Ya, we are eight years apart,” Vita said later.

“Wah, I'm old too apparently.” Rahma narrowed her eyes, blushing with her own confession. “Oh yes, I brought this cake, you know. For you, later try yes.”

“Iya thank you.”

Somewhat long they mince words even though they actually look very stiff. It was clear in Vita's eyes that Rahma was trying to familiarize him with the intent that Vita of course knew. This was part of their plan so that she could accept her husband's great decision to remarry.

‘Why? Why don't you say it yourself, my husband? You're afraid I'm rejecting it?’ inner Vita is like a sharp object. Even from what Vita heard, their marriage will be celebrated massively.

Does not Yudha intend to legalize their marriage first by state? Ah, but Vita doesn't expect that anymore. Because there is an intention to leave their lives.

Everything that seemed, seemed very rushed. Rahma's family hastened the wedding date from a previously determined time. Or are they afraid that Vita may shift Rahma's position in this house?

Vita is silent to let Rahma speak, she just responds without really listening more seriously. Before the end, the conversation began to break into the core realm.

“Sorry if this hurts you, Vita,” Rahma said interrupting the conversation. “I was hurt when I found out, Brother Yudha brought home a wife. I can't imagine my pain at that time. But it may already be our destiny .. should share husband.”

“I'm wrong, I shouldn't have entered into your relationship.” Vita could no longer hold back her tears. In front of Rahma, she had to show weakness. “Should have been from the beginning I didn't expect too much at this wedding.”

Rahma clasped her hand, “We love the same person. Please be heartened, just as I experienced the fact that you touched each other first.”

“But you're lucky, Ma'am. Because you have his heart. While me?” Vita shook her head slowly.

“We can not live with prejudice, nor can we measure how deeply one's love for one's partner feels by our own estimation. Because all of that can change over time. Could be, you will be the one he loves the most.” Rahma smiled and clasped Vita's palm. “But I promise not to ask that. As much as possible we should stop all feelings that can make us jealous.”

Vita does not know what to do with Rahma. But to the looks of it, he did not carry with him his grudge other than to embrace her very sincerely.

Since the arrival of Rahma who met him, made Vita become more familiar. Maybe in front of the family— they look fine, but in each other's hearts, they can't dodge the fact that they have feelings of love for the same person.

But what about Vita and Yudha?

Since learning that Yudha would still marry her maiden, their household could no longer be said to be harmonious. Vita is getting colder. No more Vita who used to be shy about teasing him. Even with Yudha who is also busy with her work again so that she is not too aware of this change in attitude.

Yudha thought about the consequences of what she would do. But the man thought that Vita would get used to it one day, just like Uminya had.

“What's up here?” yudha asked when he found his wife sitting in front of a fish pond.

Without answering, Via showed his palette-filled palms (fish feed), and then he spread them to the fish gathered in front of him.

Yudha sat next to him, accompanying him.

“Before your wedding day will arrive,” said Vita after being silent for a while. “Can I go?”

“Go, what do you mean?”

“It is not enough is there Rahma alone here?”

“This is not about enough or not enough,” Yudha replied inexhaustibly. “Don't spoil our togetherness now with this question.”

“Then I have to discuss what?” Vita spilled the fish bait carelessly to vent his emotions. “You're my husband. Who should I tell you to?” he said again, rubbing his cheek.

And debate, inevitably. “I'm like estranged. Everyone here is busy discussing your wedding with her which you will be planning in a big way. Do I deserve to discuss this matter with them?”

There was a pause of about a few minutes before Vita continued, “Don't Mas Yudha remember, my status is only the wife of the series. And you show it in real terms this difference. This is unfair.”

“Yes, you may punish me, whatever it is .. as long as you don't ask to leave me.” Yudha did not want to defend himself anymore which clearly had the greatest role in the suffering that Vita experienced.

“As a human being who is being tested, I will try to live it as hard as I can. But remember, if someday I can't survive. I'll go and never look for me again. Because maybe it's the best for all of us.” Vita's getting harried.

Yudha rubbed her face. “Please don't cry, because that's my weakness.”

“Yes, because I cried so you feel sorry. Then bring me here for you to pity.”

“It's not like that, Vita. I love you too.”

Vita shakes. “You lied. It's just a sedative sentence. I think, I am nothing more than an impingement,” said Vita looking at the eyes of Yudha who also had glazed. “Please answer, did you imagine him when it came to me?”

“That's not true!” selak Yudha. “Why do you think like that Vita?”

“Because Mas Yudha mentioned another name on our first night.”

Yudha was silent for a while. The man was confused. It happened in his subconscious and he did not understand why it could happen so it makes it harder to convince Vita— that love has started to present for him.

“I never imagined another woman when it came to you, Vita. What you think is not true. I was happy, enjoying our time together. Please don't say that again.”

“You alone are making it hard to believe.”

“Should in what way I prove that this love is coming for you, Vita?” ask Yudha seriously. Stare at him so softly.

But Vita still did not believe it. What he believed was deeply ingrained in his heart. He's just an impingement and nothing more.

Likewise, it appeared in the eyes of Alif up there, who inadvertently listened to their chatter and judged; that the sissy was more honorable for honestly showing who she was than her brother: Yudha—a real man full of vulgarity and lies. Who greedily wants to have two loves at once in a very lonely way!
