Chapter 8: Fallen Kingdom

Abhlesh looked at the city of Arcadian from his Airship. His eyes were fixed on one of the buildings that was the palace of the Arcadian King. The building looks very magnificent and has a very luxurious architecture.

Eventually the Arcadian royal flag was lowered and replaced with a white flag. The kingdom, famous for their defensive power, was overrun by the Caspians in less than a day. All the people of the capital Arcadian came out of their homes and welcomed the Caspian troops.

Why could that happen. Long before Abhlesh made the offensive, the Caspians spread rumors of a prosperous Caspian life through their merchants. Rumors over time became strong and deep-rooted in Arcadian itself.

The Arcadian people who felt the cruelty and injustice of their King began to take revenge on their King. All of that becomes even more apparent when the Caspian forces attack, the Arcadian Soldiers hold their people inside the city. Forcing them to be caught up in a war that could take their lives.

That is what made the fall of the city of Arcadian in the hands of the Caspian without resistance from the people themselves. Abhlesh had planned everything and the people were an important point if they wanted to conquer a kingdom. If that is not done, the Kaspians are forced to ground the city to dust and may invite other enemies or may make it harder for them to wipe the kingdom off the map.

Abhlesh sits on an Arcadian throne. His eyes looked down on the stocky body that was prostrating before him. Abhlesh had no intention of forgiving anything before him. When he read the report about Arcadian, when it was also that the creature before him at this time was no longer human to him.

Abhlesh who heard the report was curious about the Princess, a useless Princess of the King. In his mind was certainly only the image of a woman who was as inferior as his father. A silent Princess looks at tyranny at her Work and relaxes to enjoy her luxurious life.

The princess was in front of him. Abhlesh looked at her beautiful face that might captivate anyone who saw her. Those blue eyes were locked onto the calm face kneeling before him.

"What's your name?."

One question from Abhlesh made the girl a little shocked.

"A ... Aurora, Your Majesty."

Abhlesh looked at that face, a face that looked a little scared when he heard his voice. Even the girl was a little stupefied when she mentioned her own name.

The girl's answer made Abhlesh smile and grow more curious about her. One thing that made Abhlesh feel this girl was different from the rest of the Arcadian royal family was because of her calm demeanor. When he looked towards Queen Arcadia, he seemed to see the highest form of greed.

The queen ran away and brought all the jewels and anything of value, shortly after she got word of the fall of the Arcadian border. The woman reminded Abhlesh of a corrupt prime minister in his country who until the end remained self-centered. Now the woman wept before him, asking to be forgiven and freed from punishment.

Abhlesh stood up from the chair and walked over towards Princess Aurora. Hektor followed in Abhlesh's footsteps, now directly in front of the Princess. Emerson still stomped on the head of the King who began to weep for his fate. Everyone's gaze was locked on the Caspian Prince who was standing looking at the girl.

When his hand was about to touch the girl. A female servant ran towards Abhlesh and knelt before him. It was a very quick incident that even Hektor and Emerson reflexively swung their swords at the maidservant's neck.

Hektor's sword kissed Aurora's neck trying to protect the servant from the front. Emerson attached his sword to the servant's right neck. Luckily Abhlesh was on time to detain those who were ready to take the lives of the two women. Aurora looked at Abhlesh with wet eyes and endured the pain of Hektor's sword that slightly injured her.

"Why are you protecting her?"

Hektor threw the question and his sword further injured the girl's neck. While Emerson begins to do the same to the maidservant behind Aurora.

Abhlesh held Hektor and extended his hand to Aurora.
