The Romance Of The Kingdom
Chapter 3: King Funeral

Abhlesh stood before the coffin in Throne Hall. Alexander's body stiffened with a smile that adorned his face. Abhlesh was standing there expressionless.

His eyes seemed to have lost their last hope. All these feelings he managed to endure and he chose not to repeat his father's mistakes. When he turned around, everyone looked at him.

Abhlesh went down the stairs and went back to the coffin. All gazes were locked and when the Prince paid his last respects by kneeling. Everyone in the room followed him and bowed their heads. Even all the people outside the palace and the streets of the city were all on their knees, when Prince Abhlesh paid his last respects.

Such was the love of his people for the figure of prince Abhlesh.if not for his services, King Alexander might die as an insulted King. Abhlesh managed to keep his father's honor to the end. The royal servant closed the coffin with great reverence and the 6 supreme Knights who were the symbols of the Kaspian power carried the coffin. Following the Prince's steps out towards the final resting place for his Father.

There was no conversation at the ceremony and Abhlesh did not have a sad look on his face. But anyone knows if they see the eye, the human eye is the most honest thing in the world. His blank look showed the state of the Prince who was drowning in grief.

When it came to the front door of the Throne room, the 6-man Knight's task was replaced by an ordinary soldier. Abhlesh stood before everyone who was in front of the royal palace. Starting from the Nobles, Government Officers, Soldiers and all the people of the Caspian capital gathered before him and bowed their heads.

"Today ... King Alexander Kaspian has gone and joined the other Kings at the great banquet of the Gods .. And King Alexander entrusts his kingdom to us all the Caspian people."

Abhlesh tried to hold back his emotions and still maintained his expressionless face.

"Is the whole Kaspian willing to accept his last request!."

Everyone was still bowing their heads without a sound.

"What Kaspian is still willing to follow him for the last time!."

Abhlesh's sentence was still filled with silence and the sound of his breathing that held back all his sadness.

"Did the whole Caspian accept Abhlesh Kaspian as their King!."

The six Knights who were behind Abhlesh knelt down and followed everyone who was in the city.

"The Kaspian accepts His Highness Abhlesh Kaspian as King in all the Caspian!."

Everyone who was in that place as well as the people who were in every corner of the city shouted the same sentence. Making the entire Caspian capital rumbles with one sentence of confession. What Abhlesh did was the funeral ceremony that all the previous Kings did. Abhlesh had to do it perfectly even though grief made his voice tremble.

Abhlesh rode on his beloved dark horse and was followed by all the Nobles present as well as the 6 Knights who followed him from behind. The burial site of King Alexander is in the middle of the Lake which is located not far from the Kaspian Gate. The tombs of the former Kings were also there and the tomb was guarded by magic that only the original Caspian descendants could unlock.

Abhlesh's mother, Queen Cleo was also buried at the site. Now Abhlesh had to bury his father in the same place. He also replaced his father.

The King's motorcade passed through the main streets of Kaspian City. On the left and right of the road they passed, the whole people of the city stood up and threw their flowers of condolence upon the death of the King. But all their views remained on Abhlesh leading the convoy.

The ceremony ended with Abhlesh and the six Kaspian Knights carrying the coffin across the lake. Put it on the altar inscribed with the name Alexander Kaspian. Alongside the altar is the name Cleo Anastasia and the names of the earlier kings. Ablesh opened the chest and attached a sword that became the symbol of King Alexander's throne in the arms of his body.

"Rest in peace and keep the Caspian kingdom in your sleep, wise king."

Afterwards the chest was closed and the magic at the place worked. Bring the chest into the hole that has been formed and close it tightly. Abhlesh walked towards the Altar and scratched his fingertips on the sword-eye that was in the middle of the empty Altar that was before him.

As his Blood dripped down on the altar, something moved behind him and inscribed his name on one of the highest parts of the room. Along with the names of the previous kings who are famous for their big names. He turned around and closed the ceremony with what he did as a form of recognition of the place for himself.

"Hector ...."

One of the Knights kneeling behind Abhlesh stood up and rushed towards him when he realized the prince was about to fall from the altar. The situation worsened when the prince lost consciousness and his body collapsed on the Altar. The six Knights helped the successful hektor in time hold back Abhlesh's body which lost all its power.

"Quick! take the prince to the palace!."

Abhlesh woke up in a beautiful flower garden. He walked through the park following the streets there. The garden gave her beauty and comfort that she had never seen before.

He continued walking, until in front of him stood a fountain that was truly beautiful. A small gazebo decorated with vines was not far from where he stood. As he approached the gazebo, a woman looked at him and smiled. When Abhlesh saw the woman's face, her tears automatically flowed down her cheeks.

"I .. mother."

"Come here, I know you're tired Abh."

Abhlesh who saw his mother for the first time after many years walked unsteadily towards the woman. He continued walking as tears filled his every step. Eventually he fell in the woman's arms and knelt before her.

The woman gently stroked the golden hair of Abhlesh which was the main feature of the Caspian royal family. While Abhlesh vented all his emotions in the arms of the woman. Things Abhlesh has always wanted to do for years.

"Why is Abh?."

The woman stroked Abhlesh's tear-soaked cheeks. His smile changed into a sad expression when he saw the state of the child he loved.

"Is Alexander too hard on you dear?."

Abhlesh shook his head and buried his face in that embrace. The hug he so longed for and the fragrance he had always dreamed of were now in front of him. He did not want to miss that moment even though this might all be just a dream in his sleep.

"Abhlesh, you know I love you so much and I know Alexander feels the same way."

Abhlesh was eager to refute that sentence. But something held back his words. Something that says that what his mother said is the truth that has not been revealed.

"Stop grieving like your dear father, I'll always watch you from here."

"Abhlesh knows mother, Abh knows this is all just a dream and Abh knows mother is just a piece of soul that Abh holds in memory."

The woman smiled and returned Abhlesh's embrace tightly.

"I'm sorry Abh's mother has left you alone."

Abhlesh looked at his mother's face and returned the embrace.

"Mom was never wrong in my eyes nor was she wrong."

Abhlesh stood up and tidied up his clothes and knelt down before his mother.

"Mother gave me the name Abhlesh which has an Eternal meaning and to you Her Majesty Queen Cleo Anastasia, Abhlesh Caspia promised to make that name last forever."

Abhlesh kissed his mother's hand and hugged her one last time.

"Goodbye Mother, these are all the most beautiful gifts from the Gods, may you be at peace with your father there and say hello to Daddy that I love him."

Abhlesh walked away leaving Cleo who was smiling looking at him.

"ah! wait My dear, I remember your father always had a secret in his room and that secret was in the room in his private library, look for it and you'll know the truth Abh"

Abhlesh nodded and waved for the last time at Cleo Anastasia. A mother who swapped her life so that her son Abhlesh Caspia could live. And Abhlesh Caspia, a boy who swapped his happiness for the kingdom and bathed in blood for the honor of his father.

Mothers and children who are truly willing to sacrifice for the things they love. Now they are separated between flower gardens that limit their respective worlds. Abhlesh with his kingdom and Cleo Anastasia with her last break.
