The Romance Of The Kingdom

The Romance Of The Kingdom
Chapter 12: Calm Before ...

The Caspian palace is divided into several regions. The main region is home to the King and Queen of the Caspians. Cleo Region is the place for Prince Abhlesh. The two regions were separated from the servant Region and the palace guard region. While the region for Knights was located at the back of the palace as well as the training ground and the riding field for them.

Abhlesh is in the main region. The man was working with the documents he had to complete. Prime ministers Winston and Claude were in the room to discuss their move regarding Arcadian and Caspian economic movements.

"There's news of the movement of other kingdoms?"

Abhlesh threw a question at Claude and Winston who were standing before him. Abhlesh's hands continued to work and his eyes looked as if a scanning machine was constantly looking at the documents that were piling up.

"Only a few small mice are seen looking for information in Arcadian and they've been easily overcome."

"Federation?"

"The Federation chose not to take part in the Caspian and Arcadian problems."

Abhlesh's hand came to a slight halt and his eyes glanced at a letter lying in the corner of his desk. Claude and Winston knew where the letter came from, but they didn't know what it was.

"This letter ... read and give your opinion."

Abhlesh gave the letter to Winston and Claude who read it in turn. Claude's facial expression flushed red while Winston only smiled bitterly.

"Winston, do you know about something that calls itself the Dragon Emperor?"

Winston shook his head and Claude was seen squeezing the letter in his hand. A letter containing something very sensitive for the Kaspian as well as something asking Aurora instead. Claude felt it was all an insult to them.

In the letter, the Dragon Emperor asked Kaspian to hand over Aurora. In exchange they will not attack the Kaspians and release the Kaspians from the target of the Dragon's rampage. An Emperor who was so blind to his power made Abhlesh laugh. To Abhlesh, there was nothing more comical than a Lizard claiming to be a Dragon.

Moreover, they asked Aurora who is the daughter of Arcadian and clearly already in the hands of Kaspian. Claude and Winston obviously didn't accept with all those words. While Abhlesh, the man just smiled.

"A giant lizard dares to threaten the Kaspians just because they bear the name of the Dragon?"

Claude held back his emotions before Abhlesh and Winston only nodded in agreement with the man's words.

"It looks like this time Emerson has more work to do."

Winston added that sentence which made Claude think.

"Why not Igrit?"

Abhlesh laughed at Claude's question. Winston held back his laughter.

"Claude, you know who Igrit is and what the nature of the man is, the reason I didn't call Hektor and Igrit in this matter is because of their nature, if the Caspian's purpose is to remove them from the map ... I think Igrit alone is more than enough."

Abhlesh leaned his body on the chair and looked at Claude's still irritated face.

"I know you're angry, Kaspian isn't a weak kingdom and I don't think."

Abhlesh resumed his work and Winston patted Claude on the shoulder who still looked a little upset.

"Forget that problem. How's the Arcadian economy doing?"

Claude, who was in charge of organizing everything, gave Abhlesh a document. Abhlesh read the document carefully and a knotty smile was engraved on his face.

"There's trouble?"

"Only a few, Arcadian until now only rely on their mining, it makes economic growth uneven in each region, he said, moreover, the system of forced labor and abnormal taxes made the economy in the kingdom unstable."

Abhlesh nodded and wrote down something on the paper and gave it to Claude.

Abhlesh took a document from one of those stacks.

"Focusing their shipments on the Kaspian, the workers at Hidden City are asking for more supplies for the Destroyer-type Airship project, the list is what they need, focusing on quantity and not quality, he said, Dwarves have various ways to raise the material quality and tell the Arcadian people about the festival in Kaspian."

Claude received all of that information smoothly and began to organize everything in his mind. Fast and efficient work is the Abhlesh type and the man is very dislike to beat around the bush.

"Winston, what's the reward for the theocracy?"

Winston gave Abhlesh a document. Abhlesh read all the documents and his eyes came to a halt on a piece of paper which made his facial expression turn cold.

"They still don't stop what they're doing?"

Winston just nodded with that question. Theocracy was an empire that said they were directly under the Gods and their movements were absolutely sickening for Abhlesh. Their decision regarding slavery for races other than human beings was a concern for other occupations. Kaspian was one of the most vehemently rejecting him.

"Stop all ties with theocracy and tighten the border guard, and cover all races that run away from it, don't mind ultimatums or whatever they say, take care of anyone who looks suspicious, The Caspian doesn't need any doctrine."

Abhlesh returned the document to Winston who was smiling with satisfaction. After all the problems they discussed were over, Claude and Winston walked out of the room with all the tasks they were given.

Abhlesh took a long breath. For him the most complicated thing about being a prince is the documents and everything about the prosperity of his people. Nana puts Abhlesh's favorite cold wine on the man's table.

"How's Aurora doing, Nana?"

"Princess Aurora is under the supervision of the Chief Servant, Your Majesty."

Abhlesh recalled the incident on the red carpet that made him smile. With just a single sentence from Abhlesh, the girl's face flushed red and only lowered her head all the way through the red carpet.

Now Abhlesh is curious about what the girl is doing and intends to visit her. But the man abandoned his intentions after seeing all the documents on his desk. He took a breath and continued his work.

*******

Aurora stands on the balcony of the Caspian palace. His eyes were fixed on the Kaspian life which was very calm and full of activity. Behind him Iva stood as usual. The two met at the Kaspian palace and Iva was introduced to Janet and reassigned to Aurora.

"Iva, is this kingdom really what the rumors say?"

Aurora looked at the Caspian city which was very much different from Arcadian. The city was alive and full of joy. Moreover, the atmosphere of the festival that will be held increasingly makes the situation so alive and full of excitement.

Aurora let out a long sigh and looked towards the Airship guarding the Caspian sky. The giant object that caused Arcadian defeat floated arrogantly above the skies of the Caspian kingdom. The Caspian soldiers took the security of the city seriously.

In his admiration for the city, someone knocks on the door of Aurora's room and Iva comes out to ascertain who wants to see Aurora. Iva entered a while later and said that the prince wanted to meet her in the flower garden. Aurora who heard it certainly could not resist and prepared.

In his mind just thinking about what else the Prince would do to him. Making his face red all the way on the red carpet became the cover of Aurora's day. The girl exhaled and walked towards the flower garden mentioned, not realizing that Abhlesh's purpose in calling her would make her world go round. turn in a better direction or in a bad direction no one knows.
