Aurora's steps hesitated a little. Today Aurora was supposed to meet a mentor who taught her about magic. But Aurora's steps just take her in front of Elizabeth's room.
Aurora hesitated a little when intending to knock. But he had not knocked, a man opened the door from the inside. He is Leo who is always near Elizabeth.
"Madam asked you to enter Miss Aurora."
Leo smiled at the embarrassed Aurora. The girl was like a child caught making a mistake.
"W-did I bother Madam?"
Elizabeth only hinted Aurora to sit and wait for her. Elizabeth's work seems to be overwhelming given the increasing supply movement for war. Added to the Caspian issue with the Federation who added to Elizabeth's job list.
A few minutes passed and Elizabeth stopped her activities. Elizabeth leaned on her body and enjoyed the tea that had been prepared for her.
"I hope you'll see me because of something important to Aurora."
Aurora hesitated a little, Elizabeth's tone hinted that she did not want to waste time.
"Sorry Madam, does Madam know something about Lignum."
Elizabeth stared intently at Aurora's eyes. He caught a different question from the girl.
"Did you hear that name from the book?"
Aurora reflexes looking at Elizabeth's face. He did not mention that Lignum was a name.
"W-how did Madam know it was a name?"
Elizabeth is aware of her mistake. Work that is quite heavy and piling up makes the concentration slightly decreased.
"Someone I knew once called it."
Elizabeth was trying to cover something up about Lignum. But Aurora sees Elizabeth's gaze leading to Leo.
"W-why can Madam explain about a dark soul?"
This time Elizabeth took a deep breath. He looked at Aurora's face as if saying this was not the right time.
"Are you sure you want to know everything?"
Elizabeth's question was answered by Aurora's weak nod. He wanted to know about all that, but Elizabeth seemed confused what to say.
"Somewhere, someone will explain it to you. That guy will be coming a week from now. I wish you could wait that long."
"W-does that mean Madam knows something?"
Elizabeth just kept quiet and continued her work. He didn't want to answer Aurora's question. His decision was already unanimous and Aurora had to wait.
"You can continue Aurora's lessons, there are things you sometimes don't need to know, and there are also things I don't need to open up to you."
Aurora stood up and saluted at Elizabeth's reply. He understood Elizabeth's position as if to protect him, but still curiosity hunted him. All this is starting to look strange to him.
Now he's down the corridor to where his magic mentor is. Although filled with disappointment, Aurora continued the lesson. Being Queen and being next to Abhlesh remains his greatest goal. It's just that the matter about the dark soul keeps Aurora trapped in curiosity.
A week passed and news of the Caspian victory again flooded the land. All the Caspians welcomed the returning troops with pride. But Aurora just stayed in her room and waited for Elizabeth's promise.
When Elizabeth called out to her, Aurora rushed there. When he arrived, he was surprised by Igrit who was in the room. The golden eyeball locked onto Aurora, making her nervous.
"You want to ask about Lignum? Igrit will answer."
Aurora was still standing at the entrance. He remembered how Igrit had brought him to a strange realm at that time.
"W-why is Sir Igrit going to take me back to that place?"
Igrit just kept quiet and Elizabeth let out a long sigh.
"The world you're referring to is just to show the past, Igrit can't possibly do that in this matter."
Aurora walked slowly to the sofa, sitting next to Elizabeth and Igrit in front of them.
"So, what did Lignum say?"
"Lignum said of the covenant of the 3 race leaders and when he explained, something seemed to stand in his way."
Aurora looked at Igrit's face which was like thinking of something. The eyes looked back at Aurora.
"Forward."
"At that time the lignum said that I should stay away from the dark soul, that soul has an age older than its original body and that soul is the contract holder."
Hearing that Igrit increasingly pressured Aurora to open everything. The gaze that was still able to hold Aurora, now turned into eyes that have straight pupils like reptiles.
"Igrit, your aura."
One sentence Elizabeth made Igrit sigh. He accidentally unleashed an aura that he was supposed to be hiding within him.
"Sorry, continue."
Aurora nodded weakly. It was as if something had drained his energy. Aurora now increasingly believes that Igrit is a Dragon and not a human.
"Lignum also said something about stirring up a storm and two black stars, as well as something about an army-"
"Death?"
Aurora nodded at the word coming out of Igrit's mouth. Elizabeth is seen leaning her body on the sofa. The matter Aurora said seemed to be something that was getting heavier for them.
"What else did he say?"
Igrit again requested information from Aurora. But this time the tone was slightly light and there was no pressure in it.
"L-lignum also says of the Soul that started the war with G-gaia."
When the name came out of Aurora's mouth, the air in the room grew heavier. Igrit stared intently at Aurora's eyes. It was as if he was digging into Aurora's eyeballs and looking directly into her soul.
Igrit sighed and things went back to normal. All the pressure Aurora felt disappeared without a trace. Leave the bowed Igrit.
"J-so what Sir Igrit can explain to me all."
Aurora was a little hesitant at his request. But curiosity controlled his mind.
"I can only answer 3 things, and I hope you're not looking for any other answers."
Aurora was eager to protest on the condition of Igrit. But Igrit scares her and Aurora accepts.
"First of all, Lignum was Gaia's son or I can say Gaia created him. Second, the two black stars he mentioned were the two supreme leaders of the death squad, a woman who had 7 souls as well as a man who had a strange destiny. And the third, Gaia took the most precious of the three leaders."
Igrit looked at Aurora as if asking her to mention those three things.
"The queen of the Elves gave her immortality, the leader of the Angelus gave her wings and man ...."
Aurora was silent, she still did not know about what was taken from humans.
"Love, the king gave love as a price to men and their sacrifice ended in chaos."
Aurora fell silent, not expecting that in order to resurrect Lignum, the human king sacrificed the most important thing in her.
"J-if he sacrifices love then ...."
"The one she loves will end tragically. Gaia will take the one she loves the most but not break the balance of the world."
The sentence Igrit made Aurora aware of something. He was aware that what Gaia was going to take was the closest person to the contract holder. It all sounds like a curse and definitely not a contract. But Igrit won't open it all to Aurora.
The man reasoned that Aurora still did not deserve to stand in that place. But somehow something seemed to whisper to him and force his soul to dig deeper. Whispers that made his heart waver and chose to ignore Igrit's words. Curiosity killed the cat, may Aurora choose the right step in the matter.
