Chapter 20: Disaster

Abhlesh walks with Aurora in the Kaspian court. They will both attend the summit of the Kaspian Festival. The palace was very busy with everything. Palace maids were seen running around doing their duty. While outside the palace, the Caspian people had gathered to see the Kaspian Prince.

Abhlesh is not their king yet. But that did not deter the Caspian people from respecting him. For them Abhlesh will remain King no matter what. If not for the Caspian tradition, Abhlesh might have now been officially King.

After that person shouted, explosion after explosion happened in succession. Black smoke billowed over everyone's eyes. The man who shouted earlier smiled proudly and laughed at what had happened. But the man did not feel the strange thing that happened. Not a single Caspian moved from where they stood.

Even the black smoke that had been billowing vanished as if it had not been a trace. The man was restrained by the silent Kaspian soldier. It was not just the soldiers who were nearby, everyone who was in that place was sculpting. Time stopped and only the man could move.

The man's eyes immediately looked towards Abhlesh who was looking at him expressionlessly. Behind Abhlesh, Igrit pointed his hand at the sky. While Hektor seemed to be preparing to slash the man.

The man experienced the most terrible thing in his life. He realized that the Kaspians were no ordinary kingdom. Without Abhlesh's warning, Hektor was now in front of the man. His face was like a tiger that looked extremely angry.

"What you did today was the biggest mistake in the Kaspian."

Hektor's words were like the whispers of the angel of death to the man. Napsu killed Hektor as if to make his whole body petrified, the man could not even catch his breath in front of Hektor. A powerful tiger and a Dragon guarding the Prince was the exact definition for what the man was feeling.

The man tried to bite the poison that had been tucked under his tongue. But Emerson appeared out of nowhere and held the man's jaw. Emerson casually took the poison capsule inside the person's mouth and pocketed the poison.

The man tried to move and from the corner of his eye, a red-haired woman pulled five of her colleagues who were in charge of blowing up the place. Their circumstances made the man even more frightened. Their faces filled with terror as well as their bodies slowly turning to stone made the situation even more dire for him.

Abhlesh and Igrit were now in front of the man. Abhlesh's blue eyes were like a cold sea of death. Even the smile on his face looked terrible to the man.

"The democracy sent you? looks like that place needs a little touch from Kaspian."

Abhlesh's words made the man drown even more in fear. He did not expect Kaspian to be one step ahead of them.

"May you survive Emerson's banquet."

Abhlesh turned around and returned to where he stood. While Hektor pulls the man and Emerson throws away his gloves. The man will now suffer the most terrible fate. Even more terrifying than anything ever seen in Emerson's torture chamber.

Aurora was a little nervous when she saw Abhlesh's changed expression. The man smiled at her but his blue eyes said another. Abhlesh did not want Aurora to get into the incident. Something forced him to figure it all out.

"I'm sorry Aurora, it seems like today there's something I have to do."

Abhlesh gently stroked Aurora's hair. The man now tried to cover his emotions and gently kissed Aurora on the forehead. Her handsome face still looked the same, but those eyes seemed to hold something that slightly frightened Aurora.

"Will the Kaspians fight again?"

Abhlesh answered the question with a smile. While Aurora just bowed as if guilty.

"Kaspian will only solve a few minor problems and not fight Aurora."

Abhlesh turned away from Aurora and asked Nana to look after her. The girl could only see Abhlesh who had stayed away leaving her. Hektor and Igrit did not even look at Aurora at all. They both look creepy to Aurora who knows nothing.

"Mr Princess, someone wants to meet you."

A man Aurora had never seen before approached them. Aurora looks towards Nana and makes sure that the man is not a stranger.

"She is a Perceval Knight, the Duchess may ask you to meet her Princess."

Aurora was silent when she heard the word Duchess. In the Caspian kingdom, the highest position after the Caspian royal family is Duke for men and Duschess for women. Perceval is a surname that has a direct connection to the royal family. Janet even said, Queen Cleo is from the Perceval family and the older brother of Hektor.

Now Duchess Perceval wants to meet Aurora. The girl was nervous, how could a famous Duchess want to meet her. He only met the woman once during the palace banquet. To Aurora, that woman was a slightly scary person. But Janet laughed when Aurora asked her. Janet even said that Hektor had nothing on the appeal of Duchess Perceval.

Aurora responded to the request and followed the Knight who guided her. Nana follows Aurora from behind. The two of them walked towards the room in the part of the palace that served as a room for the Female Nobles. Aurora took a deep breath and prepared to meet the only Duchess in Kaspian.
