The Romance Of The Kingdom
Chapter 32: The Chaos

Dozens of Airships fired their cannons towards the defense of the city of Suez. Explosion after explosion broke the stillness of the dirty dawn of war. The cannons managed to cripple the defense of the city of Suez without a fight. But even so the Caspian troops still could not get close to the city of Suez.

Abhlesh looked only at the highest tower of Suez. The tower towering hundreds of meters above the ground stood firmly. The tower was named Tower of Babel, a tower built by one of the races that disappeared from the mainland. Legend has it that the tower was built with the intention of meeting the gods.

The tower was one of Abhlesh's destinations to reach the city of Suez. He did not see the war going on in front of him and something seemed to call him. His gaze blackened and he was immersed in the darkness that attracted his soul.

"So you finally called me?"

Abhlesh's voice echoed in the darkness. Until a light illuminates where he stands and continues to expand to show a very large room.

"Welcome the cursed soul hahaha."

The voice sounded like an insult to Abhlesh. He tried to find the source of the sound and only found a strange mural printed slowly before him. The mural was as if a moving image and told Abhlesh everything that happened to this world. It starts with a woman who looks lonely and alone.

The woman looked sad and a second later the picture changed again. Now the woman is accompanied by three small children who may be her children. But his face now looks sad again when two children died killed by their own brother.

"What about that little show?"

Abhlesh reflex turned around and threw out hundreds of ice needles he created with his Mana. The hundreds of needles stopped right in front of the woman standing behind Abhlesh.

"Don't be in a hurry."

That woman is Gaia. Magic like Abhlesh's can't even touch him. Now his face turned to Abhlesh and his four hands were still with books and harps.

"You want to see me, don't you?"

Abhlesh did not answer Gaia's question. He was still very wary of Gaia's movements. For Abhlesh, Gaia was not an easy opponent and obviously she could not possibly defeat the Gods. But the anger and resentment he felt made him still want to fight.

"Take out your real body!"

Gaia laughed at Abhlesh's words. He closed the book in his hand and walked over to Abhlesh. Step by step he made the fur of Abhlesh stand. Abhlesh's entire senses shouted as if to say that what was before him was extremely dangerous.

Now the woman was standing right in front of him. His face looked stiff and very similar to a wooden doll. Abhlesh tried to calm himself down, being in the presence of the woman was enough to make his entire body tremble.

"Look at you, you can't even hold the aura of this thing."

The woman's words clearly denigrated Abhlesh. To a god like Gaia, Abhlesh was just a snot boy who wanted to fight with a God. Abhlesh was aware of that and slowly tried to move his body.

"You can't even move."

A small laugh was heard from the doll. Abhlesh was trying to manipulate his Mana. But it seemed futile and he became more and more trapped.

"You! I promise I'll make"

"Shut up."

Just one word from Gaia can make Abhlesh silent. A god like himself very easily controls the body or mind of a being inferior to him.

"Hahaha just follow the stage set up for you my son."

Gaia drew her face closer to Abhlesh. Now they were only a few centimeters away and Abhlesh could clearly see Gaia's fake body face. Expressionless and his eyes were as empty as a bottomless abyss.

"Destroy theocracy and walk close to me, my son."

The voice still called out his name, dyed and sounded very melodious. Abhlesh turned to his right and to his left. But none of them made him discover the origin of the sound.

"You're looking for me Kaspian?"

The voice of the little boy rang out in Abhlesh's ear and made him turn around. Abhlesh saw a girl standing up and smiling at him.

"You have a strange soul."

Abhlesh still thought the one before him was Gaia. But the girl just smiled at him. Abhlesh had no idea that Gaia had any other body shape than that of the woman.

"What do you mean, don't equate me with Gaia."

The girl's words made Abhlesh speechless. He realized that what was in front of him was no ordinary creature.

"W-who are you?"

The girl smiled, her red eyes and white hair were in stark contrast to each other. The girl's face looked expressionless, yet occasionally a beautiful smile was seen on her face.

"You don't need to know who I am, give me back to the mainland and I'll help you."

The girl smiled back. The room slowly cracked and the girl was completely unaffected. Until everything broke like glass and took them both in the middle of darkness.

"Whatchu mean? I just want to change my destiny and remove this curse!"

Abhlesh stared intently at the girl's red eyes. But Abhlesh's gaze seemed to have no effect on him.

"It's only your duty Kaspian, bring the war on this land and I will help you. My time is up, find me in the darkest, brightest place and don't wake me up until you turn this land around."

Abhlesh was pensive with the girl's sentence. The girl's previously sweet smile turned violent and the eyes reminded Abhlesh of the creature that rules the night, the Vampire.

"You! I know who you are!"

"Bye, I'll see you again Kaspian."

The little girl clapped her palm. Abhlesh seemed to be pulled by an extremely powerful force and moved down. Until when he opened his eyes, the war had just begun just as he had lost consciousness. Abhlesh sighed and refocused his mind on Theocracy.

Everything he was going through now made him pensive. The little girl's words were as if a demon was teasing her to keep waving the war flag. But Gaia asked him the same.

Abhlesh saw the state of Theocracy destroyed and damaged by the actions of his troops. But the country was broken even before the Kaspians attacked. Gaia who created the stage for him really made the Theocracy break down. The peaceful and prosperous country turned brutal and terrifying. Abhlesh let out a long sigh once again and intended to start a war but not for Gaia.

He will turn this land into his Empire and change history once again. Even if he had to sell his soul to the girl, Abhlesh would. Gaia was not an option for Abhlesh and she wanted to break the terrible destiny Gaia had shown her.

A sight that left his heart shattered. Gaia showed the blood-soaked Aurora in her hand and afterwards all the visions were cut off. What Abhlesh saw made his determination unanimous. If god was an opponent to her, then the little girl would definitely be her choice.
