The Romance Of The Kingdom

The Romance Of The Kingdom
Chapter 24: In the Dragon Lair

The Caspian military meeting begins. Abhlesh and the Six Kaspian higher-ups gathered in the palace meeting room. They discussed the increasingly heated racial conflict in the theocracy section. Human supremacy made the Caspian kingdom stifling. For them there was no higher race, all races were equal and war was something they had always avoided.

The reason they attacked Arcadian at that time was to break the chains that showed the waves of war. Arcadian teams up with the Dragon Emperor and plans a massive assault on the entire mainland. Now that the same thing happened in Gaia Theocracy, all of their higher-ups were seen starting to move towards the Caspians.

Five Theocracy leaders called Cardinal Gaia loudly said that the Caspian was a kingdom against the Gods. It was clearly building public opinion on the Kaspian which was indeed blatant against the Theocracy. Abhlesh tried hard to kill the doctrine and keep the Caspian safe. But over time the Theocracy increasingly showed their fangs and several times the Caspian borders were attacked by them.

The highlight was the Kaspian festival incident which was successfully stopped at that time. Now Abhlesh is convinced that Theocracy is no longer a state to be respected. Their cardinals look like puppets that are under someone's control. This meeting was the fruit of everything, the Caspian could not remain silent and had to stop the Gaia Theocracy.

"What is the border?"

Abhlesh throws a question at Winston governing Caspian politics as well as information. The man looked serious about Abhlesh's question.

"The forces from the capital have been placed in vulnerable positions on the border."

"There's a report of their movement?"

"The last report of the sent spies said they were preparing a large number of troops and it looks like we are also the arrival of an uninvited guest."

Winston took out a paper containing information from the Theocracy. Nana who was standing behind Abhlesh took the paper and handed it to Abhlesh. When Abhlesh read it, the man let out a long sigh and shook his head.

"They prepared 500,000 men to attack the Kaspians, food supplies, weapons and money flowed from a considerable source, it seemed like something was moving behind the scenes and orchestrating this attack."

Abhlesh again sighed at Winston's explanation which he thought made sense. How can the famous Theocracy that never fought a war now take a pretty wild step. They even openly declared war on the Caspian which is now known as a powerful kingdom.

"How is the Federation moving?"

Abhlesh was a little suspicious of the Federation which had the most territory on the mainland. They looked too calm when the Kaspians attacked Arcadian. Diplomacy between them is not good either. The federation only opened the borders for trade and the same thing the Caspian did.

Claude stood up and gave the documents to Abhlesh. He read the document carefully, and there it was written how the movement of food supplies, weapons and other war supplies coming from the Federation. All of it moved in secret and ended up in the hands of the Theocracy. Abhlesh smiles, reading the document, and now knows who the real enemy of the Kaspian is.

For him fighting the Federation was not an easy matter, given the amount of power they could not be underestimated. If the Kaspian has an Airship, the Federation has its own air force, which until now has never been seen. Abhlesh looked at the faces of everyone in the room.

"Today the Kaspian will again appear in the mainland power contest, Kaspian seems to have been asleep for too long and underestimated."

Hektor was seen clenching his hands, the man seemed impatient to rampage on the battlefield. While Igrit and Ashe were seen casually enjoying the tea that was in front of them. Emerson smiled at Abhlesh, remembering that he was a man who was crazy about war. While Winston and Claude look serious because they are the heart of the movement of the Caspian troops. Abhlesh chuckled at their reaction, not expecting that he would do the thing he hated the most.

"Wave the flag of the Kaspian war! for the troops to be two halves, Igrit and Ashe will be at the Federation border ...."

"Hector and Emerson will lead the Caspian army back, while for Claude and Winston, tell them that the Kaspians will attack theocracy in the next 5 days."

Abhlesh stood up and followed everyone who was in the room. They saluted him as a sign that there was no rejection in the order this time. Abhlesh did put them in accordance with the expertise and the part that they were good at.

The end of this meeting became a new chapter for the Kaspian. The kingdom that was once considered weak will now enter the stage of the power contest among other kingdoms. The Federation had involuntarily stepped on the tail of the sleeping dragon. They directly tried to subvert the Caspian and take what belonged to the Kaspian. Now they will know how the real power of the Kingdom that once had the Dragon Lair.

*******

The next day Elizabeth opened the letter that came to her this morning. He sighed reading the contents of the letter. News of the Caspian plan to invade Theocracy has now spread throughout the Caspian nobility. Some Nobles might join this war and Perceval would not have to. Hektor himself is a representative for Perceval and he thinks that is more than enough.

When the letter arrived, Elizabeth called Aurora. The girl entered the room with a more relaxed face from the first moment they met. Aurora is now getting used to Elizabeth and the girl looks to admire Elizabeth.

"Did Madam call me?"

Elizabeth nodded in response to Aurora's question. He immediately handed me the letter he had read. Aurora approaches Elizabeth's desk and picks up the letter. She read the letter carefully and her reaction was the same as Elizabeth's.

"Did theocracy really take that step madam?"

"You think?"

Aurora shook her head when her question was answered by Elizabeth.

"Don't focus too much on something as great as war, learn to see it all, this time war is not just between us and Theocracy."

Aurora recalled something her mentor had taught her about the Caspian border. The name of the Federation flashed through his mind, yet the girl was a little hesitant at his conclusion. Elizabeth smiled at him and asked him to sit down at his desk. Elizabeth took out some documents and asked Aurora to read them.

"For this matter, it seems that I myself have to intervene to teach you."
