Chapter 29: Kaspian Mad Dog and Blind Priest

Kaspian is now re-experiencing the hot situation that once befell them. Borders threatened from both sides split their focus. That made the Kaspians have to accelerate the movement of their troops. Removing enemies one by one was the thing they chose.

The Caspian and Theocratic borders are heating up. The airship is seen starting to fill the defensive castle and patrol the vulnerable part. While the soldiers and everyone involved in this war were busy preparing everything.

The conditions in this place were much different from the borders of the Federation which was still in the waiting stage. Here minor clashes have already taken place and the Kaspian is still playing defensively.

The higher-ups are still waiting for the final decision from Abhlesh and today is the last day. Hektor and Emerson are ready for the Airship. Both of them are known to always be on the front. A moment later Abhlesh's voice was heard on loudspeakers attached to the entire Airship.

"All units are moving towards the Theocratic capital, destroy all military facilities and arrest those suspicious."

Abhlesh's voice echoed and was greeted by the cries of the soldiers as well as the worried faces of some of them.

"The salvation of other races is the priority of this mission, may victory always be with you! moving towards the capital!"

The Abhlesh sentence makes the entire Airship move. Their large numbers and various sizes made a thunderous sound like a storm. Their movements are almost impossible to stop unless the Theocracy has the same tools as them.

But the war does not always go well. The Theocratic forces that saw them still tried to bring down the Airship with arrows and stones thrown from their instruments of war. Such a small thing was not a problem for the Airship that had magic defenses lining them.

"As usual, there's no work."

Emerson sighed and lay down on the sofa that was in the main room. Abhlesh and Hektor did not care about his behavior. They are still focused on the increasingly heated war conditions. The Caspian troops did not just enter by air. The land route was also part of their attack.

Airship in charge of bringing troops down in large numbers. It took down all the soldiers and took control of the Theocratic defenses in a very short time. The incident continued to repeat until the sun touched the western horizon and sank carrying the night.

The dark conditions overwhelmed the Theocratic forces. They did not expect the Kaspians to continue their assault. Even now the bored Hektor and Emerson are finally released.

"Woho! finally!"

Emerson stood at the exit that was about to open. Beside him Hektor looked equally excited.

"Don't get too excited, Theocracy isn't an opponent you can underestimate."

Abhlesh gave them a little warning given this time the Airship was a little troubled. The Caspian army that had managed to conquer the castles that they passed easily finally came to a halt. Theocracy gave strong resistance when they touched the city of Aneta.

The famous city had a strong magic defense. Some of the Airship even had to return to the Kaspian for receiving quite a strong attack.

"Hey Prince, is that woman strong?"

Emerson pointed to a woman standing on top of the tower of the city of Aneta. The woman was dressed like a Theocratic official. The woman appears busy directing her magic at the Airship trying to bring down the Caspian forces.

"That woman is on the list, I think she's your business."

Abhlesh turned and left them. Emerson smiled after getting a sentence from Abhlesh. The man immediately jumped up and free-falled towards the woman. While Hektor leads to another place that seems to be raging.

The Caspian unleashed two of the strongest individual forces in their army. Two men who might change the way of war and become the victor in the city of Aneta. While the woman was, she did not realize that the Kaspian Mad Dog was pointing at her.

#theocracy point of view#

A few moments before ....

Rumbling sounds broke the silence of the night town of Aneta. The entire defense force prepared for a massive Kaspian attack that shocked many. They move without the Theocracy stopping at all.

The news of the fall of the defensive castles came like rain. The three exiled former Cardinals in the city of Aneta could only sigh at them. They were all victims of the strange changes of the Theocracy that became brutal. Their names were known even to the Caspian kingdom.

"Theocracy must be abolished."

The words came out from the mouth of the only woman among them.

"See what you say Eve."

The woman named Eve turned to the man who replied to her sentence.

The man just kept quiet and stared intently at Eve. They both showed opposing attitudes from the start.

"Eve, Jhon, your quarrel will not change anything, keep Aneta, at least it may be our last duty from the Gods."

The words of the oldest man made Eve and Jhon bow their heads. The man was a former Cardinal of the highest Theocracy who was exiled. The man picked up the wine glass on the table and drank it out. The two people who saw the man's actions knelt down.

"I hereby release you as messengers of the gods and determine your own destiny."

The old man collapsed after saying his last sentence. The wine he drank contained the poison that he had indeed prepared. Betraying a Theocracy is the same thing as betraying a god. Because of this, the old man preferred to die and release two of his favorite students to determine their own destiny.

Jhon and Eve could only bow down. They could not even bury the corpse of their teacher because their goal was only one. Get out of this room and fight to the point of blood loss.

"Jhon, I'm handing you an army, it's good to know you brother."

"May the gods return to make us brothers."

Eve stood up and walked towards the highest tower of Aneta City. While Jhon moved quickly to lead the troops to continue to defend until the last blood point. Their mission is to buy time as long as possible and reduce the Caspian's strength even if only a few.

Eve stood on top of the tower and saw dozens of giant objects besieging the city of Aneta. The woman sighed and pointed her palm at one of those things. Light particles gathered in his hand and formed a pillar of light that pointed at the object.

The pillar was as if a laser pierced through anything and hit the giant object that was the target. He did it several times and managed to make his target retreat. Now he's targeting one of the biggest of those things.

It was then that he saw a man darting towards him. The man smiled at her and the man's expression made the entire feather stand on Eve. He believed the man was after him and asked the soldiers nearby to prepare.

The man darted and hit the spot where Eve was standing. A very hard blow made the floor crumble. But the man stood up and looked at Eve with the same expression.

"Hey you, your name's Eve, isn't it?"

The man's question could not be answered. He seemed to be in the presence of a savage beast and all of his senses sent danger signals to the brain. The woman clasped her magic wand tightly. His hands shook violently just because the man was standing before him.

"S-attack!"

One of the soldiers who was nearby shouted and triggered the other soldiers. They all simultaneously surround the man and Eve tries to stop them. He realized that the man was not a random person and all they did was a futile act.

"Then let's dance with me hahahahaha!"

What happened after the man's sentence made Eve speechless. He could not help his fear and tried hard to stay up. The man was now looking at her with a face covered in blood and his smile was increasingly making Eve pale.

"Now it's your turn hehehe."
