The Romance Of The Kingdom

The Romance Of The Kingdom
Chapter 5: King Chamber Part 2

Claude who read the piece of the letter seemed to be in disbelief. That what King Alexander said in the letter was what the King felt. Not just one, but there were still many similar letters lying on that table.

The letter that was in Claude's hands, as well as the one on the table was not the sum total. When Abhlesh showed him the King's secret drawer and the diary he kept neatly inside. Makes Claude flabbergasted and repeatedly read the writing.

The strands of word for word were very sad for the state of a King like Alexander. He should have told Abhlesh that. Instead of keeping it in a secret drawer and hidden in the dark.

Things that make things move in a complicated and confusing direction. If only Abhlesh had not been a wise Prince and respected his father and held a deep grudge. Maybe King Alexander will die and end up on the gallows and bring this kingdom into chaos.

While Abhlesh will drown in regret for killing people he should not have killed. Fortunately Abhlesh was not such a Prince and kept his Father until the end.keeping his father's honor as a Caspian King was maintained until the end of the King's life.

"Claude, I want this place turned into my office and my father's personal library not to be disturbed"

Abhlesh folded the letter that Claude had placed on the table and tidied it up.

"Nana, tell the other waiters to clean up this place and tell them to keep all these letters in a small crate to keep them easy"

Nana accepts the order and leaves the room. While Claude was still confused by the purpose of the Prince who should not have occupied this room.

"This room is not suitable for you Prince, in this palace there are hundreds of rooms that you can choose and you actually choose this room?"

Claude let out a long sigh and Abhlesh smiled seeing his reaction. Claude was not the one who doubted all Abhlesh's orders and requests. But if the topic was about King Alexander and anything related to him, it would make Claude a little dislike him. And Abhlesh will be showered with questions from him.

"Claude .. I chose this room not because of Dad, but because only in this room is my mother's portrait"

Abhlesh looked at the wall to the right of them. Above the fireplace is a beautiful painting of a woman who literally ensnared all the eyes of the beholder. Claude also realized that there was a portrait of Queen Cleo in this room and it made him breathe a long sigh and lean his body.

"Okay, Your Majesty, give us a week to turn this place into your room ... But what about the secret room behind this bookcase?"

Claude walked towards the bookshelves that were not far from the fireplace. He picked up the 3 books on the middle shelf and pressed against the wall that had been covered by the 3 books in his hand. Something moved behind the wall and a door opened right next to it.

"I'm guessing you must know that, Your Majesty."

Abhlesh stood up and walked into the room followed by Claude. It contains many books and paintings of Queen Cleo and also paintings of Abhlesh when he was a baby. King Alexander kept all this in his room and hid it from everyone including himself.

Claude who again saw the unexpected could only be dumbfounded. He sat on the bench closest to him. He observed all the paintings with re-peaked emotions.

"What the fuck is all this! if he really loves you why he did all that! doesn't he know that you need more affection than a bunch of portraits and trashy sentences like this!"

Claude this time was really angry. He threw all his words at Abhlesh who was just silent observing one of the paintings in the room. The painting depicts Alexander and Queen Cleo while pregnant with Abhlesh in her womb. Abhlesh saw the happy expressions of the two of them in the painting and ignored Claude's relentless chatter about his father.

"Maybe in the eyes of the Caspian my father was a failed King . and a shameful Caspian King, but he is still my father."

Abhlesh lowered his head and his blue eyes as if reminiscing about something in his mind.

"Claude, stop talking bad about him."

Claude reflex knelt down and apologized for what he said. But that only made Abhlesh's mood more damaged. Abhlesh let out a deep sigh and asked Claude to stand up and do as he asked.

This time Claude did not protest and immediately rushed to take care of all his needs. To gather the people whom he will command to do the work. Claude moved as quickly as possible after twice being in Abhlesh's rebuke.

Abhlesh closed the secret door and rearranged the layout of the books. When he came out Nana was already standing in her position, clearing the letter that was still scattered on the table. The girl turned around when she heard Abhlesh coming out of the secret room.

"Nana, is hektor back?"

"Sir Hektor is waiting for you in His Majesty's Throne Room"

Nana answered Abhlesh's question after first paying respect to the Prince. Abhlesh stood up and left the room, while Nana followed him from behind after opening the door for Abhlesh. Abhlesh's steps come to a standstill and Nana almost bumps into the Prince because of it.

Abhlesh chuckled and stroked the girl's head with a smile.

"Nana, don't let Janet hear this and tell Emerson to get the room ready"

Nana who was indeed nervous from knowing the room just nodded and her face flushed red. The girl bowed her body and did what Abhlesh was talking about. Nana moves in search of Emerson and the other servants replacing Nana temporarily.

*******

In front of the throne Abhlesh stood and looked at the man Hektor was carrying. His face showed a cold expression and those blue eyes looked down on the person kneeling before him. Hektor who was standing near the man grabbed his hair so that the man's eyes looked towards Abhlesh.

The man was completely pale as Abhlesh's ice-cold blue eyes looked at him. That look was like a sword eye ready to stab him and take his life at any moment. The man's body seemed to feel a chill from Abhlesh's gaze.

"You know what I hate most?"

"Do you know what I hate most, servant master?"

The man was a palace servant. He began working at the Kaspian court right after the death of Prime Minister Spencer Perceval who was murdered in his home. Abhlesh's question made the man pale and all his blood seemed to leave him.

"I hate 2 things, betrayal and lies"

Abhlesh looked down on the man. Abhlesh continued to approach until now their distance was only a few inches. Abhlesh looked at the man's eyes with his crystal blue eyes. While the man tried to take his eyes off the Prince of Kaspian.

The Kaspian family is famous for the uniqueness that is in their eyes. Every King who ascended the throne must have a difference in their eyes. Like Abhlesh who has blue crystal-like eyes.

In Kaspian only he and one other person had the same eyes. Even Hektor who belongs to the Caspian lineage has a unique eyeball. Because it is not difficult to recognize the Caspian royal family.

"Do you know why I hate those two things, maids?"

The man was actually in the pressure of Abhlesh and Hektor who was holding his head channeling his emotions into the man's hair.

"This kingdom was almost wiped out by treason and my father died of lies"

Abhlesh passed from before the man and patted Hektor on the shoulder.

"Bring him to Emerson, let him sing in that place .. And to you, maidservant, I hope your singing is as beautiful as anything you've done"

Abhlesh left the Throne Room and Hektor was still pulling the man's hair. Behind him the sound of cries for forgiveness echoed in the room. The voice that disappeared as the servant in charge closed the door for her.

Abhlesh had already begun his purge at the Kaspian palace. Everyone he investigated one by one spent their time in the hands of Emerson. All of that has to do with the death of Spencer Perceval and some of them even spies from other occupations.

Abhlesh is now in a flower garden and spends his time in that place. It was a garden that her mother used to visit and it was a gift from her father for Queen Cleo's pregnancy. In the middle of the garden was a gazebo and it was there that Abhlesh often spent his time reading books.

From a distance a person he knew walked down the path of the flower garden leading to the gazebo where Abhlesh was. That man was Hektor and he was holding a little boy that Abhlesh knew. Abhlesh's face turned bright when he saw the girl waving her tiny hand and Abhlesh smilingly replied to the girl's wave.

"Astrid, I told you to keep your attitude before the Prince"

The blue eyes of the girl who was similar to Abhlesh looked at the face of hektor.

"Astlid well, Astlid dear Pangelan hehe"

Abhlesh laughed at the girl's sentence which was still not very perfect.

"Kemari ... sit here Astrid, I have an interesting story for you"

Hektor lowered the girl and the girl ran towards Abhlesh without warning until she ended up in his arms.

"Celita what sister?"

The girl hugged Abhlesh and Abhlesh sat her on the lap.

"Hey Astrid ...."

Abhlesh held back the words of Hektor who intended to scold Astrid. Hektor was angry that Astrid was presumptuous to call Abhlesh his sister. But Abhlesh held back the sentence and gently stroked Astrid's head.

"At least let him be with me Hektor and tell Emily, Abhlesh Kaspian asked him to allow Astrid Perceval to play with him for a while"

Hektor could not speak anymore. He only let out a long sigh looking at the gazes of those two pairs of blue eyeballs. The two of them looked at Hektor with pleading gazes.

Astrid Perceval is the daughter of Hektor and Emily Perceval. Emily and Hektor have Caspian blood until they also inherit a unique eyeball characteristic of the Caspian family. While their son Astrid, has a crystal eyeball that is very similar to Abhlesh.

When they first met, Astrid was terrified by Abhlesh's cold expression. The girl even hid behind the back of Hektor at that time. After Abhlesh persuaded her in all sorts of ways she ended up being so clingy with him and would always visit if Abhlesh was relaxing in the garden.

"Well if you ask His Majesty ... Astrid, don't bother Prince and Nana, I'll get Astrid to you"

Nana nodded and Hektor went to the place he was waiting for the most, Emerson's interrogation room. Abhlesh and Astrid waved at Hektor who walked away. While Nana pays respect to Hektor who passes in front of her.
